Way to help our newest Texans

Please consider donating, for long-term use, your idle RV or travel trailer. We are opening our park to our good neighbors from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama who have lost so much in Hurricane Katrina. We have RV hookups available for their use, but we don’t have RVs. Your donation can make all the difference in the world to people who are looking for a place to call home for a few weeks or months as they sort through the aftermath. It’s absolutlely crucial that we all work together to help out our friends and family. Please email (info@buckbrazos.com) or call (254-898-2825) if you’re able and willing to help out. We can help make arrangements for getting your RV or fifth-wheel to our place. Buck loves to drive.

How many RV’s have been offered to Buck so far. I know some folks who have them. Who will pay for the damage and clean up of these RV’s after the folks are done staying in them. Who will pay for the stolen TV’s and stereo’s that these folks will steal and pawn off. Please deal with this issue on LST. 713-721-3314

I am so very proud of how the people in this whole region have responded to the needs of the evacuees. It is funny that so many are afraid of the churches in our will seek to convert their poor inocent little children but, when push comes to shuve, who do they call on to give help? I hear about all these people donating food, housing, jobs, clothing, volunteers to cook and serve meals, etc. and money to the Red Cross. Just what is the Red Cross doing with all that money they are begging for? I know they are collecting millions - are they paying anything for the facilities they are putting people in? Do they pay the city for the use of the Astrodome? Do they pay for the motel and apartments? Did they pay for the transportation to get the people here? Who at the Red Cross pays the bill for the food and clothing we are providing? I would like to see some sort of accounting for how they are spending the donated money. I don’t see that they are doing anything beyond getting in the way of people who really can help.
