“They didn’t want to go to the Superdome, because their homes were pretty intact: they wanted to stay and have food and water brought to them.”

I like to do that too, but I have to pay the Chinese restaraunt to bring the food. Nobody told me the government would buy it for me.

Sometimes people’s asinine comments drive me to drink. I am very sorry for the death of her son but please already. Does she really think that she is honoring the memory of her son with this stupid crap coming out of her mouth? I mean “level of military presence” duh, they were there to try to restore peace. Those looters she doesn’t want shot, most aren’t stealing to survive because last time I checked you can’t eat jewelry or TV’s. Please lady, go home, shut your trap, and get on with your life because you don’t know what you are talking about.

Give me 15 minutes with the woman… 15 minutes after many long conversations with people who know politics way better than I… That’ll fix things.

This is great. Let her be the face of the looney left. Lets put her front and center. Keep on talkin Cindy!! Cindy Tour 2005!!

Cindy Sheehan is doing more damage to liberals than she realizes. Seriously, “If George Bush truly listened to God and read the words of the Christ, Iraq and the devastation in New Orleans would have never happened?”

So if Bush listened to God and read his Bible, it would have ACTUALLY prevented Katrina!!!!!

Methinks she is off her rocker.

I told you guys not to mention the WEATHER MACHINE!!!! (See http://lonestartimes.com/2005/09/14/republican-talking-points-just-the-fax-please/)

  7. gregg on September 16th, 2005 at 9:21 pm

She would have some credibility if she wasnt so smokin hot!

  8. SimpleSimon on September 17th, 2005 at 7:10 am

Cindy has to be an undercover Republican operative! No one can be this stupid. The RNC has her on a secret mission to make the far left wing of the DNC look like cretins.

Regrettably, I am being sarcastic. She and her tubby buddy Michael Moore are just this stupid, but then again P.T. Barnum said, “There is a sucker born every minute.”.

I recommend that y’all read the whole article. What authority did FEMA had to do boat inspections? Also notice that he has mentioned 2 FEDERAL entities thus far.

A friend in the swamp tour business offered government officials his employees and his fleet of airboats to help evacuate flooded New Orleanians. His ten boats were lined up and ready to launch, along with dozens of other volunteer craft.

    (snip)

These boats spent six exasperating hours being inspected by FEMA officials.

    (snip)

Finally a FEMA official proclaimed: “NO!”

    (snip)

… they lacked were: THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF LIFE PRESERVERS.

    (snip)

Another acquaintance owns a food wholesale business. He offered the $2.5 million worth of food in his warehouse to feed desperate hurricane victims. Four Army helicopters started revving their rotors, prepared to fly in and start hauling out the food.

Then an FAA official stepped in and nixed the mission. The food warehouse, you see, was located within a mile of a NASA facility… Heard about many, many more such bureaucratic idiocies which I’ll report in due course. I’m still digging out myself.

    (snip)

Jaimie, this once again proves the Fed Government cannot protect you. If it were Dems in charge it would have been the same thing. That is why everyone needs to take care of themselves and their family and not rely on the feds.

  11. eslook on September 17th, 2005 at 1:09 pm

Ms.Sheehan should have died instead of her son. Just think how better off the world would have been. People like her hate our country. They spew hatred at America, and then when confronted turn it around like they are doing it all for America. Shoot, they’d like to see us colonized by China. Those comrades have to be stopped somehow.

  12. Papa Ray on September 17th, 2005 at 5:39 pm

Well, I heard the “rest of the story”, they were able to round up the required life vests (plus more boats) and go out at first light the next day.

The Feds got a wavier for the Helos within a few hours and they came in and transported almost all of the supplies. BTW, it wasn’t anywhere near 20 million dollars worth of supplies. Guess he was going to claim a loss against his insurance and jacked the value up.

This doesn’t mean the Feds get off scott free, yes there were problems with “red tape” that delayed action. Yes, there was mass confusion, but some of the blame is because they had no direction and no help from the local governments (except in MS and AL.)

Yes, those that had the forthought and the assets to have flood insurance will come out pretty good.

But most didn’t have that leeway.

What do you expect from a democrat who have chosen a jackass as their symbol.

Who are you calling a Democrat?

Things I have learned from watching the news on TV during the last
    eight days:

The hurricane only hit black family’s property.

New Orleans was devastated and no other city was affected
    by the hurricane.

Mississippi is reported to have a tree blown down.

New Orleans has no white people.

The hurricane blew a limb off a tree in the yard
    of an Alabama resident.

When you are hungry after a hurricane steal a big screen TV.

The hurricane did 23 billion dollars in improvements
    to New.Orleans,

now the city is on welfare, the looters and gangs are free
and they are in your city.

White folks don’t make good news stories.

Don’t give thanks to the thousands that came to help
    rescue you,

instead bitch because the government hasn’t given you a
    debit.card yet.

Only black family members got separated in the
    hurricane rescue efforts.

Ignore warnings to evacuate and the white folks will come
get you and give you money for being stupid.

I feel so sorry for all those black folks.

In one way, AND ONLY ONE WAY, compassionate people should feel a little sorry for poor misguided Cindy Sheehan. Right now, after being the sorry thinking leftists poster child for silliness and loose talk and Bush Bashing for so many weeks, Cindy Sheehan has absolutely no other course left her, but to continue in the same rabid, illogical Bush Hating manner that got her the 15 minutes. If she were to stop, think, and even REMOTELY recant some of her commentary, her friends from Kos to Pink, would turn on her and rip her to shreds. Right now, for example, the left is cannibalizing one of their own. Donna Brazile had a moment of rationality, and the feeding frenzy this stirred up is stunning. She is ripped up one side and down the other by her former friends and co-idealogues. The comments are quite simply HARSH and Heinousand just downright rude. The quantity of nasty names she is being called goes way out of bounds. For a long time liberal, black, female, democrat to be toasted like this reminds me of a family of jackals turning on their pups and devouring them at will. Cindy could not possibly survive such an attack, were she ever to come back from the land of oz. So you see, she has no choice, but to continue her goofiness.

An evening at “The Liberallys Dinner Theater”. Music by the Dixie Chicks with your host Ward Churhill and guest comedy appearances from Mikey Moore and Cindy Sheehan.

  19. Deke on September 18th, 2005 at 6:44 pm

    Hello Folks,
    Deke here.

I have been watching and waiting to see how long it took the bitch Sheehan to try and get some milage out of the Hurricane aftermath and spin in it into her agenda. I am surprised it took as long as it did.

Deke was hoping she would fade into the sunset but alas I was wrong.

I feel great pity for anyone that holds her banner. She is not news anymore yet she is news to the uninfomrmed.

I hold great symapthy for this woman and she could have eclipsed anything on the planet had she turned her head and that of his goat like followers and said, “I’ll one up Bush. I will lead the pack for help for these people.”

But then, that’s not how she thinks. Therefore not another line of print or an ounce of ink not even my own need to be used to say anything about this useless citizen.

    Cindy, Go the hell away.

I have a ditch across from my property where you can stay permanently and an orange 5 gallon bucket that you can deposit your back end waste and you beliefs.

Let me know, I’ll even come pick you up with no milage charges. Oh yes, Mrs. Deke says you have to ride in the back of the truck. However being the sweet wife she is she says we will provide the TP.

  20. Deke on September 18th, 2005 at 6:54 pm

    My question is this.

Was anyone selling sno-cones? I would like to have had the concession.

But would that have stopped the looting?

    Sno-Cones are a comfort food.

Were sno-cone vendors stopped from going into the city?

I have never sold a sno-cone to anyone that was obviously armed. Therefore people who buy sno cones are not typically armed and so logic dictates there should have been more sno cone vendors.

Unless of course Bush don’t like sno-cones.

How come I get this and the media don’t?

    Deke,

Be patient, Cindy Sheehan will self destruct and fade away.
She has made her legacy just as Madelyn Murray O’hare did. Rather than held in great esteem, as one of the many mothers who’s lost a child in the defense of our beloved Country, she will be reviled and hated.

Where is the friendly fire in the combat zone when we need it.

I’m surprised Cindy has yet to blame Bush for her son’s death at the levee in New Orleans during Katrina, or did I just miss the article? Shame he was the only one with a smidgen of gray mass.
