I forgot to give y’all a link to my blog, True Anomaly. Right now, those of y’all who are still in the storm’s path are just waiting for the inevitable to hit you. I’m sure the weather right now seems pretty nice and clear, but that’s going to change.
The best place to keep track of the storm is NOAA’s National Hurricane Center. It seems that the storm is expected to track a little closer to Houston than they thought when I went to bed last night. Hopefully it will stay to the east, so that the strongest storms will miss the Houston area. They’re expecting 15 to 20 foot storm surges along the coast, and up to 25 inches of rain in some areas. That much rain will definitely cause some flooding, but at least Houston is above sea level so it won’t be like New Orleans.
Stay safe, and keep checking back here if you’ve got online access during or after the storm tonight and tomorrow!
