A retreat into smallness

By choosing a nominee suggested by Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid and well known only to himself, the president has ducked a fight on the most important domestic question dividing liberals from conservatives: the principles by which one should read and interpret the Constitution. I hate to say it but looking back on:
1.Iraq 2000+ Young American lives lost for what?
2.Osama still drinking margaritas and laughing after 5 years
3. $3.00 a gallon gas
4.Supreme court failures
5.Spending orgys
and so on, GWB has squandered his Presidency.

Hey, I voted for the fellow (always voted Republican - up to now)but so far his “courageous willingness to think and do big things” has, except for the tax cut (which is, unfortunately, only temporary) pretty much led him to do big things I didn’t want him to do in the first place.
Miers’ nomination is, however, not a “retreat into smallness”, its another big mistake.
