Cha Ching!
by Matt Forge · 10/10/2005 5:47 amUPDATED: Due to copyright restrictions, I couldn’t sell shirts with these designs on them. I did, however, create a new one which should pass the test. To see it, just click here.

I’m sure you’ve seen middle-class American teenagers drinking frappuccinos at the local bookstore and wearing t-shirts with mug of Che Guevara on them.
I’ve created some to counter the communist anti-capitalist left in a humorous way. You can get Cha Ching gear on CafePress, with another design also available (as seen below)

Commies aren’t cool, but the bucks in hand and the dollar sign bling do help.
Little teen-age communist wretches want to live like a communist? Fine. Shut off the air-conditioning at your parents house when you get home. Close off all rooms in the house but one and cram the whole family into it. And all share one bathroom with your neighbors. And don’t ride home from Starbucks in your momma’s Expedition, walk or hop on the back of a cart being pulled by a donkey. And you think it’s fun to say Bush sucks? Try saying that about Castro, you foolish little commie wretches.
Why does Hollywood keep making movies about these losers like Goovera? Don’t they know they’d be shut down and put in jail for saying about Castro or Il-Jung what they love to say about Bush?
Yes, I’ve spent a lot of time in Beijing lately, and things are getting more comfortable there. For example, they now have Starbucks, along with most other western comforts, to some degree. But that’s only in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai, and they really have loosened the communist controls so that they aren’t really true economic communists anymore.
But they sure haven’t loosened the political restrictions. There still the same communist tyrants as ever.
cameraguy,
I like what you had to say about Beijing. It would seem that exposure to western ideas is a major contributing factor to falling communist regimes everywhere. Give the average communist citizen free access to ideas, and see what they choose for themselves. Too bad we can’t do that as quickly in Mooooslem countries. I bet terrorism would be significantly reduced and/or destroyed from within by the love of our western conveniences.
I’ts hard to educate people about the real world when they can’t read the flyer and don’t have electricity or a phone or a computer. They still live in the 7th century for the most part.
Matt, I appreciate (and agree with) the sentiment, but when I see these, the image that comes to mind is FARC. Columbian Narco-terrorists.
