Another dispatch from the brilliant Dhimmi Watch.* It seems some British banks are scrapping the piggy bank:
British banks are banning piggy banks because they may offend some Muslims.Halifax and NatWest banks have led the move to scrap the time-honoured symbol of saving from being given to children or used in their advertising, the Daily Express/Daily Star group reports here.
Muslims do not eat pork, as Islamic culture deems the pig to be an impure animal.
Salim Mulla, secretary of the Lancashire Council of Mosques, backed the bank move.
"This is a sensitive issue and I think the banks are simply being courteous to their customers," he said.
This is freakin’ ridiculous. First of all, I doubt any pious Muslim would walk into one of these banks and have a fit because he’s given a piggy bank to take home to Junior. That’s because Islam has strict laws against paying or collecting interest. This is like a steakhouse banning leather shoes to avoid offending PETA.
*Dhimmi is an Arabic term meaning "protected people." Under Islamic rule, Dhimmis are relegated to second-class citizenship. They’re free to practice their religion and culture, but only in private. The Koran mandates that people conquered by Islam must "pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection." (Surah 9:29)

Why do England and the US worry about offending someone who has picked their country to live instead of their natural country?
Our governments worry about offending people who are here illegally or ones who are just visiting for awhile and do not care if they offend the natural citizens of their countries who vote for them. There is a lot wrong with this picture.
I’m Offended by;
MSM not telling the truth but slanting the news with garbage that is always against our government.
I’m offended that people like Sheehan, Moore, Soros & the Hollywood creeps are allowed to down our government daily and then it is shoved down our throats by the MSM.
I’m very offended that the MSM & crazy liberals are allowed to say anything against our Military as long as it is negative. After all our Military are the ones fighting for their rights to be able to do so.
I’m extremely offended that the “peace” marches are allowed outside our military hospitals where wounded soldiers are recuperating.
I’m offended that the Democrats forget all of the illegal deals they have made since elected to office but have screaming fits and finger pointing parties against the Republicans.
Do any of these people know the meaning of the word “treason” or do they just think it doesn’t apply to them?
I’m very offended that our government wants to take out the word “God” out of everything becasue a select few refuse to ignore me when I say his name, but I have to listen to them everyday use his name in vain.
I’m offended that elections are now over the almighty dollar instead of “the American people”. When do these people do the jobs that they were elected to do?
I’ll end my list with Hillary & Clinton….enough already.

All Porky Pig cartoons will have to be banned.
Green Acres reruns will no longer be shown because Arnold is dare I say,a Pig.
Arkansas Razorbacks can no longer be televised. Crowd yells Suie to much and they have a wild pig on their helmet.
Pig farmers can no longer yell suie either or be called Pig farmers.
‘Three Little Pigs’ story will have to be banned from all libraries and the country all together.
Will have to ban “Green Eggs and Ham” from all libraries and the country.
As a matter of fact we will have to come up with a new name for pigs.
“Glutton for punishment” will be banned because the word glutton conjures up images of a pig now referred to as gip or gips.
Senesitivity training will be administered at all major corporations on using the word gip or gips instead of pig.
Ham, bacon and eggs can no longer be served at any restaurant.
Jimmy Dean can no longer market sausage.
Well you get the picture……….
Does this mean I can’t tell my kids (if I had any left) to clean up their pig pen/sty?
We’ll have to tell the Instapundit that pulled pork sandwiches are now prohibited, so Texas BBQ is the only way to go…
PorkBusters and pork in the budget will have to go too.

Isn’t this why we fight in the first place? I don’t believe anyone is knocking the individual foot soldiers on the ground or air. IF they are let me know and I’ll write them an ugly letter.
