A thread specifically for all of you who are following and want to discuss Day 3 of the Alito hearings…
- C-SPAN is web-streaming the hearings live;
- The Wall Street Journal is generously hosting for public access Alito’s entire 64-page (pdf) Senate questionnaire;
- National Review’s "Bench Memos" is a good source for instant reaction among the D.C. conservative elite;
- SCOTUSblog will be live-blogging as well;
- Sure, they may be talking-points- but they are good talking-points, in defense of Alito’s nomination, from the Committee For Justice.

When is KSEV going to start picking up the Mark Levin broadcast? Why they can get that one in both New York City and in Dallas - why not here?

OOOOOOO Arlan Spector just wiped the floor with Ted (hic) Kennedy! Coming from a liberal Republican, it was just priceless.

I see the “scosh-(hiccup)-man” is done with his line of questioning for the day?
I commented to someone the other day how I’d like to go up there and slap the fecal matter out of “scosh-(hiccup)-man” and was told…”no no no Beach, we need to hear him in all his slurriness.”
I realize how important the open forum for these confirmation hearings is, but having said that, it seems a terrible waste of time. Maybe they need to have a permanent record of each one of the committee members on file somewhere and when their time to speak comes up, they just flash a sign that says “ditto” since they always seem to say the same thing?
I remember being in college at the time of the Clarence Thomas hearings. They rolled a TV into our rec-room so we could watch them live. I listened to every word…(rolling eyes). What a naif I was at the time.

Beach_Bum - I totally agree. These hearings are nothing but political pandering. Unfortunately, the Dims are looking quite foolish. Ted (hic) is especially alarming. Guilt by association is something that was tried in Russia, Germany, etc. Too close for comfort for me, despite the laughter.
