It was great for my wife and I to drink beer and talk politics (not necessarily in that order). Bramantti you are much taller than you write and much thinner too! My wife had a good time chatting it up with the gals. It was great to meet so many other LST bloggers and as a heads up for some guys, I think there were more women than men there talking politics…and drinking beer! Great news from Councilman LeCoure about Mr. -you don’t need all that money, let me have it for the city to spend-Cox running away now that the jig is up and city finances is in the open for all to see! Had a great time with a lot of tall tales over brewski, looking forward to the next stop on the LST Bayou City Barblogging Tour …

Maximus/EX-Diver. Yes, it was a great. I’m hoping to spend more tiime discussing ‘politics’ with the Ladies next time. Overall - had a great time.

Hey Matt, if you can, how about a heads up on the next potential BarBlogg meeting locals. Maybe a list for discussion among the group.

Great time had by myself and the bride. Especially now that she knows that blogs & blogging are not just high-falootin’ chat rooms. Dittos Maxamus on the “Fine” GOP Gals in attendance. Enjoyed all the news from the Friendswood bunch.

Are we sure Matt “Zilla” is old enough to drive a Blog or did he get a fake license from a flea market?

    See Y’all next month.

p.s. Make sure Benzion brings his pet RHINO ;-)

  7. Unfair Tax on January 31st, 2006 at 4:05 pm

Montgomery County update 3 of the guys running for Senator are RINO’s big time only one is sending out information discussing Appraisal Caps and Illegal Immigration the others say BS like family, patriotism, faith, lower taxes, with the NO. 1 EXCUSE TO BE ELECTED WITH GUARANTEED HUGE TAX INCREASES - A BETTER EDUCATION FOR THE CHILDREN and other fertilizer phrases. So there are plenty of others standing in the wings to take up where RINO COX has left off. All I am suggesting is that if the candidate doesn’t spell out in plain ENGLISH that they are for APPRAISAL CAPS and against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION - DON’T TRUST THEM with your vote.

It was wonderful meeting everyone! No offense to the people over 35, but it was nice to see that there was someone under 35 there!
Maybe there is hope for me after all! There’s got to be a whole world of under-35-conservatives out there! WooHoo!
I look forward to the next meeting!

  9. jimb on January 31st, 2006 at 4:58 pm

Hey Sally - what about us guys who are exactly 35? I am definitely encouraged, though, when I see evidence of ‘yoots’ who are conservative…

  10. Matt "Zilla" Bramanti on January 31st, 2006 at 5:12 pm

Bramanti you are much taller than you write and much thinner too!

I write short and fat? Aw hell!

  11. sallyloudmouth on January 31st, 2006 at 6:03 pm

jimb- sorry 36 and under. but you weren’t there anyways. It’s almost like seeing a rare endangered species to see a under 36 repub! Hey, where’s PETA when ya need em?
I think I’ll get a grant from the government and make it my full time job to protect the endagered young republicans!

  12. neocon on January 31st, 2006 at 7:10 pm

Sally, how can I get on that grant?

Our last receptionist was a 20 year old Hispanic Republican. She could hold her own when confronted by the libs. Of course, she hasn’t been to college yet, but I don’t think that will change her. She’s a great gal.

  13. Willie on January 31st, 2006 at 7:30 pm

As someone who, unfortunately, missed the shindig…can anyone tell me who is represented in the picture? I don’t want to wait for the next one!
    :-)

  14. Golden Adam on January 31st, 2006 at 7:49 pm

Yea sally…I’d like a piece of that grant too! This foreign oil addict needs to board the over sized, inefficient SUV to go to a State of the Union watching party!

  15. sallyloudmouth on January 31st, 2006 at 8:40 pm

Neocon & Golden Adam- from what I hear it’s not difficult at all to live on money from the government, for advice, just ask our new Houstonians. I could certainly use a Louis Vitton instead of food.

Current conversation with roomate: If Condoleeza were to ever run for President, who would the feminists and blacks vote for?

  16. Matt "Zilla" Bramanti on January 31st, 2006 at 10:56 pm

13: Attendees included Hogfan and Mrs. Hogfan, SallyLoudmouth, Maxamus and Mrs. Maxamus, An Observer, several Bay Area Republican Women, Maltboy, and a few non-commenting LST readers.

  17. Mike Smith on February 1st, 2006 at 6:46 am

    Sally, my wife and I raised 3 conservatives, all currently under 30. My oldest son’s wife is conservative, too. {Even though we all may be voting for Kinky in November}

    I just taught them to read their paycheck stubs. Their common sense filled in the rest. {The money they gave to the federal government was paying for someone else’s rent. That set it in stone…}

  18. pmartin on February 1st, 2006 at 11:07 am

    Sally

“If Condoleeza were to ever run for President, who would the feminists and blacks vote for?”

They would vote for a liberal Democrat! Doh! That was easy.

  19. KRogers on February 2nd, 2006 at 11:10 pm

I encourage all LST bloggers to attend the next beer blogging bash! It was an excellent time. Is Matt really old enough to be in a bar? Maybe David will bring the RINO. Our contingent was the Friendswood Republican Women (no offense to our pals at Bay Area) and one Friendswood Republican Man. We go where the party is (Double Dave’s, Jillian’s, Taste of Texas, Outpost–these are not shameless plugs for food and beverage establishments–it is our resume).
