    Astro

I was finally able to leave my sick bed today and early vote.

I did not vote for Dewhurst - left it blank, same with Hutchison and some other RINO’s. I did not vote for Van Arse-Dale - left it blank. Hope he only gets 99 votes! Otherwise, I feel pretty good about the slate.

What I would really like is for the silly Republicans in Colorado to get their acts together and take back the legislature

Just wait ’til the Texas leges open. They will run to Colorado (they have already been to Oklahoma and New Mexico) so the Colorado bunch will have a template.

It’s pretty much, “Monkey see… Monkey Doo Doo”.

Astro, seems I read something about the Colorado voters being asked by the legislature to approve of the (budge)(overspending)(emergency spending). The voters gave their approval. What was all that about?

Oh yeah, we voted all right, but it was the Democrats with all the big money that were behind the whole pro-Ref-C&D effort. Our RINO governor supported it, too.

There is one good thing about that vote, though. Voters approved the first referendum to let the state keep excess revenue, but did NOT approve the second, which would have allowed the state to issue billions in bond money in order to finance stuff right away, and put future taxpayers in hock at the same time.

Colorado seems to me to be split 50-50 when it comes to conservative/liberal, and as far as I can tell, it’s the liberal side that’s growing right now. We’re the state of Tom Tancredo (my congressman, btw) on one hand, and Ward Churchill on the other. And I’m sure y’all heard about that teacher’s ranting in Aurora.

We need more Texans to move here to offset the Californians!

Maybe you need more grass roots politics. Root out the RINOS. Encourage people to run. Once Dan is elected here in Texas, it will send a big message to Austin and, I imagine to the rest of the country. I just hate it when incumbent after incumbent has no challenger. Just having another name oon the ballot will encourage lots of voters!

You are lucky to have TanKredo as your congressman.
