I don’t trust very many polls. You can skew a poll just by what time of the day you call, not to mention the geographical location the calls are made to. For example, if I call an inner city neighborhood at 11 in the morning, I am going to likely get a person that does not go to a job to work. I am likely to get a high percentage of persons on government assistance, either welfare or social security (people that work night shift will not likely answer the phone). And to base the supposed view of the entire nation off of asking a small number (1500) people or so what they think? Pleeeeease! The numbers are too easily skewed.

pmartin, it works for me, (just tried it) either someone helpfully fixed it for me, or there is something wrong on your end. Are you using IE or Firefox? You ARE using Firefox aren’t you? =D

Uh, no still working with IE. I am working on getting a new computer at home and will check Firefox out. What you guys are saying about it, it looks too good to be true.

I got the linky! I guess it was “just busy!”

Geez, are the libs/communists/socialists/marxists just taking over the world? Just reading the headlines on Fox news has me running for cover. Didn’t watch the video on Fox, but the headline was that now illegals are suing American citizens! How can all this be possible in this great land. I think it is worse that what we read, although I’m not a pessimist. First it was the port deal, now UAE are buying our weapons factories.

I just heard on the Mclaughlin report that Zogby did a poll and 51% of the soldiers want us out of Iraq in six months. This has so many parallels to vietnam, that it is almost scary. I think we give this another 6 months, and if things do not dramatically turn around; we declare victory and go home.

Sorry, I don’t believe that poll and/or it has been skewed. From what I read of Edd Hendee and Laura Ingraham with boots on the ground, there is a great optomisim with the troops. They believe in what they are doing and nothing in the DLWM will change my mind. When has Zogby been in Iraq? Oh, no, doesn’t want to get his pretty shoes dusty.

If 51% wanted us out in six months, they why are so many reinlisting, again and again — sometimes 3rd and 4th tours? If what Zogby says is true, then none of our troops would be re-upping.

    and Jleaves

There are no parallels between this war and the Vietnam War. Don’t buy that tripe! Fighting terrorism is a totally different war — you are fighting people who are not uniformed, representing the army of an enemy. In Vietnam you knew who your enemy was, mostly, except for the civilians. We defeated Iraq. We are now there to stabilize the region, much like we did in Germany (and our troops are STILL there!) The Iraqi operation has gone for 4 years and has accomplished much. How can one be so narrow minded as to miss this unless one were only listening to the DLWM?

Jleaves, If you read the link, you’ll note that there is quite a bit of suspicion as to the competence of the “partner” that supposedly collected the data. In fact there is quite a bit of evidence that the company has never done any polling work before, and may not have even existed prior to this poll. Given Zogby’s obvious link to arab causes, it is entirely plausible that the polling data is suspect.

He is obviously just another anti-American slime-ball used by the socialist pigs in the media who want this country to fail so they can continue with their globalist ambitions.

Why would anyone take any of his so-called polls seriously? The man’s ulterior motives and bias are as plain as the imbecilic look on L.P. Clown’s dullard face!
