I am watching KHOU and these were some comments overheard from the opponents.

Mark Ellis….."What would I do different? I’d buy a radio station."

Peggy Hamric…."Dan Patrick had the radio station"

Joe Nixon…….."I’m glad I won…excuse me I’m glad I ran."

It seems to me that it has not sunk into the other candidates and talking heads on KHOU that the reason Dan won is because the people want change.

What Mark Ellis doesn’t understand is WE WANT CHANGE!!! This state government better wake up, the people have spoken.

Mark Ellis… “I’d have some sort of a plan.”
Peggy Hamrick… “I’d have some sort of an idea.”
Joe Nixon… “I’d have some sort of a clue.”

Dan had an unfair advantage, he was running against a group of incompetent “BOOOOOOBBBBBBSSSSS” They had no idea what they stood for and neither did the electorate. That’s coming from a poor redneck mexican boy.

I think I could have won if I presented the message that Dan had, but the boobs just wanted to give excuses, just like when things don’t get done.

I thought that the radio station wasn’t going to be a factor, “low-rated little insignificant small-potatoes station” that it was.

Maybe #’s 1 and 3 are closer to the mark…

Be real people. So Arnold won because of his ‘perfect” English? Dan has good ideas and platforms. To see if they are implemented is another matter. Yet being in the public eye and ear for 20 years didn’t hurt.

My wife & I sat down and talked about my life insurance, etc the other day. If I croaked she’s to pay the mortgage 1st. But even with that done she’d still have approximately $600. a month to set back for annual property taxes! Or lose the house. We just have an average little house in an average neighborhood. Its just simple arithmatic.
Our lawmakers have forgotten us. They’re into their own “thing”. They just wanted us to give them our vote, shut up, and not bother them. Calouse and hard hearted, now they have some time to reflect. Lets all say a little prayer for them. We’re going to need their help in this battle. They are fellow Repub’s even though they have strayed.
