As a lifelong Republican I can only say, looking at both parties, “power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely”. Dan’s efforts and like conservative commitment from others around the nation must succeed or this nation is just for sale to the highest bidder.

Wow…I was just getting online to get an Astros score! I need to change my home page.

    Let the games begin.

I will say that this represents an interesting turnaround from his recent interview on KSEV.

I bet if the Guiness book of WR had a category for the most simultaneous… um… climaxes, the Houston ChronicLies newsroom would be lifetime award winners.

Heck, they’d probably have to retire the category after this. They’ve been stroking it for 12 years… about time they got their just desserts.

This is a welcome break to all this illegal immigration crappola news.

  10. neocon on April 3rd, 2006 at 11:08 pm

Squawk, you are right on, as usual!

While it’s a welcome break from ill imm news, I cannot but wonder what the next “breaking news ” will be?

I hate to say “I told ya so”.

    Nah, not really.

    #2 -

I think this has little to do with Ronnie Earl, and a lot to do with having his former chief of staff plead guilty to federal charges. Not to mention being “representative #2″.

Does he get to keep all the money in his re-election coffers?

  14. m9777 on April 4th, 2006 at 9:13 am

…and the GOP can now pick his replacement on the ballot.

Of course, Tom Delay can do whatever he wants, but this seems to give a green light to the low-lifes of the left, who continue to perform character assassination routinely on their most effective conservative opponents. All they need is a hack D.A. like Ronnie Earle with all the time he needs to shop for just the “right” grand jury, and the personal bludgeoning is on.

This does not bode well for the future of decent people.

This is a great day. FINALLY, one of the greedy cowards has the courage to leave the government. Now if only the rest of them would follow suit. I suppose we’ll have to wait until November to rid ouselves of the dirtiest congress in my lifetime. If it feels this good, I can wait.
