Aha! Competition!!!! Is this going to be the official bid location for the rest of the evening, Matt?

  2. Matt "Zilla" Bramanti on April 12th, 2006 at 5:06 pm

Yes, this is now the official auction thread.

  3. shannon on April 12th, 2006 at 5:12 pm

$145 on the shirts. A gift to our church youth group attending a national convention this summer.

  4. shannon on April 12th, 2006 at 5:21 pm

Hamburgers with the mensch? Who could resist? I’m in for the opening $80.

    2 entries found for mensch.
mensch or mensh Audio pronunciation of “mensch” ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mnsh)

A person having admirable characteristics, such as fortitude and firmness of purpose: “He radiates the kind of fundamental decency that has a name in Yiddish; he’s a mensch” (James Atlas).

  5. Justin on April 12th, 2006 at 6:11 pm

    $35 for the bear.

My desire is to have the bear donated to a Houston-area childrens charity of headshaker’s choice. I’ll even drive in from Beaumont to assist with the delivery if desired.

  6. Justin on April 12th, 2006 at 6:12 pm

NOTE: It can be LST’s choice too, I just said that because I’m not familiar with the groups over in Houston.

  7. BoB2 on April 12th, 2006 at 6:39 pm

I still would like the bear - $45.

  8. headshaker on April 12th, 2006 at 7:15 pm

Whoever buys the bear, I will ship one to you and I will also donate one to a charity of your choice (as long as they don’t mind it says God Bless Texas on it). Believe it or not, I run into a lot of problems making donations because of this. Sad.

  9. Justin on April 12th, 2006 at 7:18 pm

My financial situation won’t let me go higher… sorry.

  10. BoB2 on April 12th, 2006 at 7:18 pm

That’s mighty nice of you headshaker. There is nothing wrong w/ God Bless Texas-IMO

  11. headshaker on April 12th, 2006 at 7:42 pm

#10 I agree, but some of the things I’ve experienced are crazy. I donated 10,000 Christmas bears one year to the Dallas ISD. They “expelled” them from the schools when they learned the bears had a nativity graphic on the front and a Bible verse inside the hangtag. Of course they do, they’re Christmas bears!

I could tell you all kinds of stories that would make your head shake as bad as mine.

  12. shannonathome on April 12th, 2006 at 7:48 pm

My hat’s off to you, Shakey. Nice.

  13. BoB2 on April 12th, 2006 at 7:57 pm

    #11 I don’t know a kid that would turn down a bear
    @ Christmas. Stupid adults.

  14. neocon on April 12th, 2006 at 8:12 pm

  15. neocon on April 12th, 2006 at 8:19 pm

    Shakey,
    #11

What a nice gesture. Too bad the politically correct schools had a problem with it!

Don’t want my head shakin’ as bad as you’res. I can barely keep my monitor from movin’ as we speak!

  16. neocon on April 12th, 2006 at 8:28 pm

$90 for the burgers, RHINO included!

  17. neocon on April 12th, 2006 at 8:30 pm

    Justin

I’m going to make a $35 donation to “Childrens Advocates” in your name, just cuz your a great guy with a good heart! I will have the confirmation set to you via LST address given earlier.

  21. Golden Adam on April 12th, 2006 at 9:55 pm

OK, my conscience is now clear. Sorry for the $0.02 donation…I swear, I thought it was a joke at first.

  22. shannonathome on April 12th, 2006 at 9:58 pm

    Hiya neocon.

  23. shannonathome on April 12th, 2006 at 9:59 pm

  24. Golden Adam on April 12th, 2006 at 10:04 pm

I wonder…will the bidding be like on ebay? Everyone waiting until the last second to place a bid?

  25. shannonathome on April 12th, 2006 at 10:13 pm

Shaping up that way, isn’t it?

  26. Justin on April 12th, 2006 at 10:29 pm

    hey, that’s an idea… :)

  27. Smacktle on April 12th, 2006 at 11:19 pm

    Ban your nemisis $50
    T-shirts $155
buck 2 fifty for that stupid friggin bear ($1.50)

  28. Smacktle on April 12th, 2006 at 11:22 pm

If I win the bear can I tear it apart at the next LST function?

  29. headshaker on April 12th, 2006 at 11:31 pm

Smackie, I also produce a small (9″) “CowBear” (it’s a bear made from cowskin-colored fabric), and it has a cowbell embroidered on the foot.

For a $5 donation to LST, I’ll donate as many as they can sell in the next 24 hours.

  30. Smacktle on April 12th, 2006 at 11:37 pm

OK head I’ll buy 100= $500 get to work man!
My only request is that you somehow have LST
    somewhere on the cow.

  31. shannonathome on April 12th, 2006 at 11:39 pm

    165 shirts

  32. Smacktle on April 12th, 2006 at 11:40 pm

Any poster on LST gets a CowBear with LST on it
if they attend the next brewhaha.

  33. Smacktle on April 12th, 2006 at 11:41 pm

    I concede to shannon

  34. headshaker on April 12th, 2006 at 11:44 pm

#32 Smackie - I can only put LST on the tag (I’ll make a special tag), not on the cow itself. Sorry!

Are you serious, you’ll buy 100?

  35. Smacktle on April 12th, 2006 at 11:45 pm

head if you need an extra dollar for the LST then
I will contribute that. You have my word.
$600 for 100 CowBears with LST on it and everybody
gets one at the next LST event. Please note that
you have to be present to win bear!

  36. shannonathome on April 12th, 2006 at 11:46 pm

Next brewhaha will be as close as they’ll ever get to me. Hope I can make it.

  37. headshaker on April 12th, 2006 at 11:47 pm

#35 Smackie - I can’t produce them that fast. If you commit to 100, I’ll have them in time for the May event. I’ll have LST prominently embroidered, and I’ll make a special hangtag that recognizes your gesture on the inside. How’s that?

  38. Smacktle on April 12th, 2006 at 11:47 pm

$500 for 100 CowBears with LST on the tag and the
money goes to LST and everybody who comes to the next LST event gets one.

  39. headshaker on April 12th, 2006 at 11:49 pm

Smackie, I just emailed you a picture

  40. Matt "Zilla" Bramanti on April 12th, 2006 at 11:50 pm

Smacktle and Shakey…I don’t even know what to say. Y’all are amazing.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  41. headshaker on April 12th, 2006 at 11:51 pm

#40 - yeah yeah yeah; show up in a limo wearing a Rolex and see what happens pal! :)

  42. Smacktle on April 12th, 2006 at 11:52 pm

These friigin CowZBears are giving me a headache.
At $500 for the the whole 100 with LST embroidered
on them can you have ready for the next brewhaha?

  43. headshaker on April 12th, 2006 at 11:53 pm

I can’t get them embroidered in time for the April event. Here are your options: special tag with whatever you want to say, in time for April event, or, bear with LST embroidered on it in time for May event.

  44. Smacktle on April 12th, 2006 at 11:56 pm

OMG! that picture of the bear makes me think of Matt!

  45. shannonathome on April 12th, 2006 at 11:56 pm

    I hate odd numbers.
    $200 on the shirts.
Thanks Smackie, the kids will love ‘em.

  46. Matt "Zilla" Bramanti on April 12th, 2006 at 11:58 pm

LOL Shakey. Don’t worry about that. I’ll have something much more beautiful and valuable on my arm. RedZilla! Assuming she can get off work…sigh.

  47. Smacktle on April 13th, 2006 at 12:00 am

Lets go with May event. These CowBears are going to be collectors items! The first LST CowBear with a cowbell on it! So, all I need to do is send a
check to LST for $500? Let me know how you want me to work this out.

  48. headshaker on April 13th, 2006 at 12:03 am

Smackie, you send the check to LST. I’ll produce the bears and have them ready for the May event.

I will acknowledge your wonderful gesture inside the hangtag that attaches to the bear’s “paw”.

    We Liberal/Socialist/Anarchists have hearts also!

    :)

  49. Smacktle on April 13th, 2006 at 12:08 am

Great working with you headshaker. Got to go to
    bed now! Auction is over!

  50. neocon on April 13th, 2006 at 10:25 am

    Shakey,

Anyway you can have a few ready for the April BrewHaHa™?

  51. headshaker on April 13th, 2006 at 10:26 am

neo, I can bring one of my regular stock versions without the LST logo for everyone to admire until they get the “official” one in May. :)

  52. neocon on April 13th, 2006 at 12:55 pm
