Bramanti - bring the “LST” table decoration this time: lol.

  2. neocon on April 7th, 2006 at 12:51 pm

Having recently conducted “research” on this place, I can attest that the beer is exceptionally cold! None on tap though, but lots of varieties. Matt, the part-owner I talked to said to just call ahead and he will reserve the right side of the bar for us (between the pool tables and shuffleboard table)! So when you come in the front door, just turn to the right. It’s a big open place!

  3. gmland on April 7th, 2006 at 12:58 pm

finally - one in my hemisphere!!!

  4. Squawkbox Noise on April 7th, 2006 at 1:16 pm

    Bring the “RINO”.

  5. headshaker on April 7th, 2006 at 1:17 pm

    Dare I attend?

  6. Hogfan on April 7th, 2006 at 1:23 pm

Sorry to say Mrs.HF and I will be driving race cars at TMS in Fort Worth that day. Which means to far away and no drinkin’. You ?*&%^$ bloggers have fun and keep smacktle away from those dead animals. Remember to tell the waitstaff that Matt”Ziila” buys a round every time they hear the Cowbell.

If I happen to be top bidder, do I get a raincheck on the dinner and booze?

  7. jimb on April 7th, 2006 at 1:38 pm

Sure, HS. You can always “juke” to the tennis court if necessary…

    :)

  8. headshaker on April 7th, 2006 at 1:39 pm

    #7 jimb

LOL I just want to be able to get out of there without any serious injuries!

  9. buddy on April 7th, 2006 at 1:42 pm

Yee Haw! Finally near my N.W. neck of the woods.

  10. jimb on April 7th, 2006 at 1:49 pm

#8 I would say with the crowd that usually shows up at these things, the worst that could happen is that you will get hit with a cowbell or something….

  11. headshaker on April 7th, 2006 at 1:50 pm

#10 jimb - He’s the one that scares me the most!

  12. jimb on April 7th, 2006 at 1:59 pm

Smactkle? Just buy him a beer - you’ll be good after that…

/shamelessly reminding Smacktle that I just angled for him to get free beer

  13. Smacktle on April 7th, 2006 at 2:14 pm

I’m only coming if gregg is coming. I drink
margaritas on the rocks with salt, in case
anybody was wondering what to buy me.

  14. Michael on April 7th, 2006 at 2:21 pm

Right down the street from me! Yahoo!

  15. Rightwingsparkle on April 9th, 2006 at 11:02 pm

I can be at this too! Yah! So you guys and girls that went to the Wolfies one can try and get me to stay past 9pm since I missed all the shots last time!!!

  16. Matt "Zilla" Bramanti on April 10th, 2006 at 12:28 am

    Bring your chess set, Wino.

  17. Rightwingsparkle on April 10th, 2006 at 9:15 am

    chess set?

OK, maybe this won’t be as fun as thought…

  18. Matt "Zilla" Bramanti on April 10th, 2006 at 9:30 am

It’s a running joke, Sparkle. Wino wanted to play “shot chess,” wherein each player downs a shot of tequila after every move. Fortunately, I suck at chess, so it probably won’t be fatal.

  19. Rightwingsparkle on April 10th, 2006 at 10:10 pm

Well, I think you will be needing this then:

    http://www.paramountzone.com/shotglasschess.htm

  20. neocon on April 25th, 2006 at 11:35 am

Buddy was the “highest dinner”? Huh?

Matt, hope you made reservations. If you didn’t I have the phone number. Looks like we will be having quite a crowd, with a lot of folks who haven’t been before.

  21. buddy on April 25th, 2006 at 11:48 am

Yee Haw, again! I’m getting all teary-eyed and have such mixed emotions. I can hardly wait. My only very slight problem might be the announcement of the May Barblogging Tour location. My semi-regular place is kinda small and would likely not be able to accomodate the numbers of the LST crowd. And I really wouldn’t care to give a unknown place a shot in the pocketbook. Other than that, I’ll drink anywhere, and I’m open to suggestions for the May stop.

  22. Matt "Zilla" Bramanti on April 25th, 2006 at 12:26 pm

    20: LOL.

Highest “bidder,” sorry. It’s been fixed. :)

  23. Smacktle on April 25th, 2006 at 12:59 pm

Is that SOB gregg going to be there or is he just
    all talk?

  24. neocon on April 25th, 2006 at 1:40 pm

    Buddy

Check out “Barton Springs” which just opened off of Hwy 290 and Hwy 6 (behind Chili’s, I think). Went there recently and they have great beer on tap (extensive variety). The food is good and they have a great patio which will hold lots of folks. They have live music on weekends.

  25. neocon on April 25th, 2006 at 1:43 pm

    Buddy

PS You have a few weeks to do your “research” at Barton Springs! Let me know if you need any help and I can probably round a few of us to go with you to perform this “research!”

  26. buddy on April 25th, 2006 at 2:22 pm

    Neocon,

No problem. That sounds like a good idea to me. I know of several in the N W territories, but some I just don’t like.

  27. j kathi smith on April 25th, 2006 at 3:05 pm

Well at least if I drink too much I can walk home

  28. gregg aka"T-Bone" on April 25th, 2006 at 7:25 pm

If I show up it will make you feel like when you saw this as a kid.

  29. Matt "Zilla" Bramanti on April 25th, 2006 at 7:28 pm

Oh man, now that’s got me thinking.

Who is Gregg, really? Is he a real guy, or just a computer programmed to fool us and tell dirty jokes? Maybe he’s a 12-year-old kid, or a woman or an illegal immigrant.

  30. gregg aka"T-Bone" on April 25th, 2006 at 7:53 pm

This is how I picture Matt.

  31. gregg aka"T-Bone" on April 25th, 2006 at 8:18 pm

Actually this place is right near my trailer. Might have to drop by in my disguise.

  32. shannon on April 27th, 2006 at 5:33 pm

that’s an interesting apparatus in your mouth, gregg.

  33. neocon on April 27th, 2006 at 7:30 pm

    Bsue,

You and the Mr. goin’ to be there? Gregg being there is probably goin’ to bring a lot of us out of the woodwork!

  34. neocon on April 27th, 2006 at 7:58 pm

    Ree-C
How about you and the Mr.? Would love to see you.

    Also Jeremy and the Misses.

    You coming to the BrewHaHa™?

  36. neocon on April 27th, 2006 at 8:21 pm

Okay, whatever - I’m retiring for the night!

  37. gregg aka"T-Bone" on April 27th, 2006 at 8:26 pm

Was talking to the wifey tonight about the brewhaha. She isnt very happy with ol T-bone about going out leaving her with the kiddos.I’ll see what I can do.

Get a baby sitter and bring the wife with you! It’s only for a couple of hours!

  39. Smacktle on April 27th, 2006 at 10:00 pm

gregg, what a bunch of crap. You talk the big talk,
then blame it on Mrs. gregg if you don’t show up.
    What a pu$$y!

  40. headshaker on April 27th, 2006 at 11:19 pm

#39 Smackie - I agree! Gregg is whipped. I would have never thunk it. He probably wears a thong when she tells him to. Grow some nads man and put her in her place. Geez.

By the way, I’m going assuming I get paroled from “house arrest”!

  41. gregg aka"T-Bone" on April 28th, 2006 at 12:48 pm

Hey,nads, my wife can beat up your wife. If she gets too mad at me we I’ll have to move the camper to another Wal-Mart.

  42. The Dude on April 28th, 2006 at 4:41 pm

I’ve heard Wallyworld has really killer dumpster-diver pickins. Is that true, Gregg?

BTW, where’s JimB today? Is he going tonight?

  43. headshaker on April 28th, 2006 at 8:58 pm

Just got home from the tour stop. Had a great time with everyone. What a wonderful group of people, despite our differences on certain issues.

A bunch of class acts. I wish sarge could have stayed as I know a lot of folks wanted to meet him.

    Looking forward to next month!

  44. Squawkbox Noise on April 29th, 2006 at 12:05 am

    To: Shakey

    Glad you was there.

    To: Everyone else

It was indeed my pleasure and honor to have seen old friends and met new ones.

  45. jimb on April 29th, 2006 at 1:21 am

It was cool tonite. Look forward to the next time. Post forthcoming with new pictures.

Smack, Neo and I will take you on in shuffleboard anytime…

    :)

  46. WobbleHead on April 29th, 2006 at 7:23 am

Had a great time last night, glad so many of you were there for my last, last Brew-HaHa.

  47. DanTheDoorMan on April 29th, 2006 at 7:26 am

Whoa what a kick-a$$ party man, the band was aaaawwwwwssome!

  48. headshaker on April 29th, 2006 at 7:29 am

That’s it! I’m never going to another BHH, and this is my last post for a long time (at least a few hours!).

  49. The Dude on April 29th, 2006 at 8:10 am

We had a great time. I just wish we would have gotten to meet Sarge. I understand we just missed him by ~5 minutes.

To those of you I did get to meet last night, it was a pleasure. I have to agree with HS’s #43: a bunch of class acts. The guy whose appearance most surprised me was Daniel James. He looks like a stocky version of J.D. (Zach Braff) from the show “Scrubs”:

    http://paper.cloudyday.org/046/scrubs-800×600.gif

It was good to see old friends, as well. Who knew Neo was such a master of shuffleboard? Certainly not Smacktle and me.

  50. headshaker on April 29th, 2006 at 8:12 am

I’m sorry I didn’t get to see neo or DJ. What time did they arrive as I left around 8:40?

  51. The Dude on April 29th, 2006 at 8:50 am

Neo was there when you were Shakey. You may have the same problem I had, which was not knowing Neo’s true identity. She also went by another name on here.

**Insert Johnny Carson “I did not know that” here**

Unless you did know that, then don’t insert anything.

DJ arrived not too long after you left, I don’t remember exactly what time. This actually turned out to be the latest running BHH so far. I think the last stragglers left somewhere around 1:00 a.m. Matt talked me into drinking a Caucasian (White Russian) as is the Dude’s wont. I think he and DJ both had one. Then I saw some Kamikaze drinking going on. My head sort of hurts this morning… I’m not really sure why.

    :->

  52. headshaker on April 29th, 2006 at 9:34 am

Now I’m really upset! Neo was there and didn’t give me a big hug? I was so anxious to meet her.

    Geez!

  55. neocon on April 29th, 2006 at 11:15 am

    HS, I checked - nothing!

  56. headshaker on April 29th, 2006 at 11:32 am

neo, email me at info@headshaker.com so I can make sure I have the right address.

    Thanks.

    Headshaker

    Got it. Check your email!

    Neo

  58. DanielJames on April 29th, 2006 at 12:42 pm

It was indeed a nice time. After my parting shots yesterday I had to show…I did not want the days news to be “DanielJames No Showed”….again.

I am really sorry I did not meet Headshaker and Sarge.

If I tend to soften up a bit it will be the direct result of humanizing the LST’rs.

Tunrs out that Bigs is a good man! LOL

  59. jimb on April 29th, 2006 at 1:28 pm

I think a good time was had by all. Neo, any time you need a shuffleboard partner, let me know. Dude and Smack, I think Neo and I will take y’all on anytime!

DJ, Sarge, Big45, Jeff, Buddy, Shannon, the “lurker” (and whichever “new” folks I met last nite - It was a great pleasure to meet y’all.

Sparkle - to continue our conversation, Hell, yeah, I am ready to rock! I’ll be holding up my lighter at the next concert, too. :)

And, oh, the Dude may have something to interject about “no purchases of home-brewing equipment”.

  60. DanielJames on April 29th, 2006 at 1:47 pm

    Who drank the koolaid?

    I think it was spiked!

  61. jimb on April 29th, 2006 at 3:53 pm

I have it on good authority that the Kool-Aid was not spiked, and Matt did happen to drink some.

The kamikaze’s, however, were quite sufficiently ’spiked’.

  62. 1-F on April 29th, 2006 at 7:44 pm

I had a blast last night. Thought you were a great group of people. Don’t know whot I expected, but you people certainly surpassed any expectations that I had. Thank you for a wonderful welcome to the group. For those that didn’t guess by now, this is Jef (you know, the blind guy).

  63. 1-F on April 29th, 2006 at 7:52 pm

Sorry, I promised my E-mail address to a few people. Here it is, and I do check it every day: jhenley9@houston.rr.com

  64. BSue on April 29th, 2006 at 8:12 pm

Jeff, glad to see you drove Buddy home safely.

  65. The Dude on April 29th, 2006 at 10:28 pm

1-F Jeff driving? Heh. Reminds me of Al Pacino in “Scent of a Woman”. Hoowaaahhh!
