The Virtues of Capitalism
by David Benzion · 05/02/2006 3:06 pmConcerning our earlier post regarding her Tax Freedom Day event, Galveston County Glamour Girl Tax Assessor-Collector Cheryl Johnson writes:
FYI – I personally paid for the photo shoot prior to taking office from which my “glamour shot” photo was selected by my husband as being the best of the bunch. This photo has driven local Dems over the top and, sadly, fiscal conservatives have tended to complain that the local government paid for such a thing. The government didn’t—I did.
And the world is a better place for it.

You go girl! Glam and Government! I love it!
Cheryl’s always been a good sport about this stuff, even when she has to take pictures with complete freaks.
Aw come on, give Paul a chance. Get the guy some lipstick and a photo shoot and I’m sure he’ll clean up real nice…
Not bad for an ol gal. Hell, I’d wash her dishes for her in a heartbeat if my wife said it was ok.
You’re a real master of the subtle approach, aren’t you Gregg?
I would have gotten away with the post if it werent for that meddling penuin.
They have the time to worry about this which turned out to be a false accusation. But do they worry about trying to save the billions of dollars that the Feds waste every month on who knows what.
Now, me like this one!
I voted for Cheryl Johnson before I voted against Paul Bettencourt —– John Kerry, 2004.
I’m glad I live in Galveston County…. we are making the world a better… and much better looking…. place to live!
