That is how I and many others would describe a majority of Senators, who are willing to throw away any vestige of soveriegnty with their amnesty plans. But a number of concerned citizens have found an excellent way of making sure they get the message that we are mad as hell and not going to take their hot air any more. When they send out campaign materials wanting donations, send them BRICKS!
Update: Commenter Crazybobster points us to a website doing just that.

These types of “messages” are not as important as the one we need to send in November. I say vote against every incumbent, no matter the party. It’s time for us to retake our government from the elitist politicians and lobbyists currently running it. There is no other way (short of revolution).
Here’s an idea for your weekly poll question.
Who is the least respected?
I give you a start, politicians, lawyers, used car salesmen and news people.
Follow this up with Who do you respect the most?
I give you a start, our soldiers, doctors, nurses, policemen, firemen.
Willie, the nice thing about it is that most of those campaign materils have return postage envelopes in them to make it convienient to donate. the campaign gets stuck paying for the postage of that heavy brick, that is campaign money that they dont have to spend on actual campaigning. So thier challenger has an easier time beating them.
How appropriate!
My words but a whisper — your deafness a SHOUT.
I may make you feel but I can’t make you think.
Your sperm’s in the gutter — your love’s in the sink.
So you ride yourselves over the fields and
you make all your animal deals and
your wise men don’t know how it feels to be thick as a brick.
And the sand-castle virtues are all swept away in
the tidal destruction
the moral melee.
The elastic retreat rings the close of play as the last wave uncovers
the newfangled way.
But your new shoes are worn at the heels and
your suntan does rapidly peel and
your wise men don’t know how it feels to be thick as a brick.

sending a brick might make you feel better (and I do find the humor in it), but in the end, only your vote (or lack thereof) will truly have an impact. Don’t send the brick and then vote for them in November. That’s what they’re counting on.
Willie… or do both! Let them know it wasn’t just a stunt, but a warning!
We can stomp our feet in anger because of the way our politicians run our great nation into the ground. They have decided to keep flooding the country with Illegal aliens. The ONLY recourse we have is to throw them out of office the next election. Yes, we have to bite the bullet and vote against our own.
I propose we end our posts with “NRIR”
(No Rhino Incumbents Re-elected) as a reminder to us all come Novemeber. “NRIR”
#8) Malcolm:
Throw out Republicans (your RHINOs) AND Democrats. Let’s start anew.
We have term limits, people! Let’s impose them come November.
I say we end our posts with TOAI (Throw Out All Incumbents)!
The two party system has given us the choice of the LESSER of two evils at the polls for so long that now we now suffer the evil of government by the LESSERS. We have only two solutions, a new powerful third party of candidates that espouse our ideals or revolution. Over half the population pays no income tax; they don’t want a change so revolution may be the only alternative.
“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established, should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience [has] shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.” –Thomas Jefferson: Declaration of Independence, 1776. ME 1:29, Papers 1:429

In case you don’t have any extra bricks handy, they will send one for you.
It’s easy to say we should just throw everybody out, and rail against RINOs and beat our chests about how we’re going to teach them a lesson.
What’s harder is to accept the fact that a lot of the problem is with the VOTERs. For example, recent polls I have read about indicated that around half of the people supported some form of “path to citizenship” and the poll results seemed to indicate a generalized support for the Senate bill.
At the same time, other polls show that almost all Americans want the rate of legal immigration frozen, or even decreased.
These views are hard to reconcile considering the Senate bill would result in massive increases in new immigration, which is apparently lost on most of the clueless populace (otherwise, how could they support the bill).
When the people are so uninformed about a piece of legislation that they send mixed and confused signals, it’s hard for me to put 100% on the blame on the politicians. Seems to me there ought to be some obligation on all of us to be informed.
#12) Rick-
excellent point. We are, after all, the ones ultimately responsible for the government we elect; it is the mirror we hold to ourselves.
A better informed citizenry elects a (theoretically) better government, one more responsive to an electorate that actually tracks their voting record and holds them accountable for it. Our greatest power (and consequently their greatest threat) lies in the term limits we possess each and every time we cast a ballot. Too often we get caught up in the Democrat/Republican thing to truly see what is going around us, things happening to all of us as Americans. We give “our guys” a pass because he’s “mis-guided” or “surely better than the Democrat/Republican!”, -(pick your poison). This mentality (whether on the Left or the Right) merely feeds the beast. If we, as Americans, put both parties on notice that we will turn out every incumbent until they focus on us, the people, then the atmosphere around DC would change tout suite.
Until such a time, alas, we will continue to be ignored.
Message from our President!!

Build the wall!
15. lol good one huh? So how do you like the Presidents Spanish?
Got to think’n…Why would today’s illegal immigrant want to sign up for the amnesty program? Most do not care about voting. Most just want to work for pay…no more than that. Why give up the free in the land of the free? A lot of illegal immigrants did not apply for amnesty the last time in 1986. There were no penalties then.
We will end up with even more illegals sucking on the government teet. The meaning of citizenship will be vague. Once citizenship has lost meaning, the rule of law is sure to follow.
I care about Bush’s spanish about as much as I care about Vicente’s english. They both suck. Bush keeps trying to court a bunch of illegals as if they have the right to vote, and Vicente just wants to get them the hell out of his own country before they string up thier own politicians. personally, I think we’d be doing the entire country of Mexico a favor if we bombed Mexico City. They might just have a chance at building a functional government then.
Through the degradation of the public school system where the steps to educate those who don’t want an education, which disrupts those seeking one has cause the entire system to become a joke. Add to this the teachers union whose #1 concern is political power and not the education of the students. Where universities are ordered by the state that they must graduate more minorities (i.e. lower your standards). Where SAT scores have 400 points added to them so that the scores make those eligible to get into college where otherwise they would not be addmitted. Where tax dollars are spent as a sign that the politicians are doing everything they can to promote a better education when teachers are beaten, robbed, sexually assualted and cursed without anything being done. When the largest bonuses are paid to superintendents, principals and administrators (some of whom have never taught in a class room) instead of the teachers who a beaten over the head by the afore mentioned so they can get their bonuses. Where burnout occus usually in five years due to student disrespect, low pay, bullying by the school’s administration and constant demand to perform while their bosses live in temples with special perks given by a bunch of idiots on the rubber stamp school board who pat themselves on the back for their schools exempliary standing that was lowered so a group of chimps with darts could have accomplished the same test standard.
No wonder the voters are so easily confused by the lack of information other than the lies from politician who if term limited would actually have to work for a living just like other taxpayers instead of being able to vote themselves raises and nice hefty pensions.
#17. You have no clue what you are talking about. Please refrain yourself from comment if you dont know their mentality! You claim you do but you really dont.

Most of those from S. America and China are illeterate in the native language. They are here for the free bees - no welfare for 5 years is a good start and pay for school for 3 years as the immigrants from Europe had to do. Irish Bayou outside New Orleans is where the Irish were allowed to stay and die or yellow fever, cholera, malaria and thphoid when they came. Taxpayers are tired of all the free stuff.
# 20. I personally know of several people that did not opt for amnesty in 1986. I have heard of others, but that is second hand knowledge. I began to ask myself why they did not seek amnesty and thus speculated. Am I to refrain from said speculation? I only commented on what I have seen first hand. Granted, it is a very small percentage (given the shear numbers). As an example, I have never interacted with the prison population that are illegal immigrants and have no idea how they feel about amnesty. Does that therefore render me unqualified to speculate? I am with #21
Amnesty from what exactly?
As I understand it amnesty is granted to those who flee from political /religious persecutions.
Call it anything what it is but please do not call it amnesty.
#23, it is called amnesty because they are not being required to follow the law and prior transgressions are being forgiven, amnesty is exactly what it is.
What you refer to is asylum not amnesty.
#24 Rorschach
Yes, you are right. Thank you!
#22. Many within the illegal population are constantly being taken advantage of and are defrauded of thousands of dollars by people who claim they can help them gain citizenship. INS has constantly held public meetings with local politicians, clergy, etc. urging them to speak with illegals within the community and not to fall victims to these con artist! If they didn’t want to become citizens then we wouldn’t have this fraud issue present. If they didn’t want to learn English we wouldn’t have so many companies selling material on learning English, we wouldn’t have night schools packed with people trying to learn English. If they didn’t want to adapt to our way of life we wouldn’t have so many of them buying homes, vehicles, property, etc.
Please don’t fall on the myth of them wanting billingual education, many have complained wanting their kids out of it because since it’s implementation kids failing a grade or two has gone up!! All of this is the govts. doing, not thiers!
You gotta love it, the irony of the INS holding public hearings for illegal immigrants. Is the INS attempting to protect them from their own? Is that in their job description?
Face it, the crucible of this problem is MEXICO! Mexico is a social failure and we are the recipients of the human shrapnel from that disaster. The Mexican elite is laughing at us…all the way to the bank.
#27. Yes Mexico does have it’s issues! Not denying that at all, although most Americans seem to enjoy the fruits of the situation.
You catch my drift on them wanting citizenship, it is a lie to suggest otherwise!
Can’t blame the INS for caring about people.
Here is what is wrong with Mexico
http://www.cis.org/articles/2006/back306.html
The “government officials” take all the money, ship their poverty to the U.S. and expect the U.S. to just accept what they are doing. Someone needs to overthrow the Mexican government.
#29. I think it’s evident that the government officials are corrupt! Although it’s not as bad as some on here paint it out to be. People are still going on with everday life, just like us here!
