    What a backstabbing , Un-American LOSER!

Yes, Murtha, I do question your patriotism! He is so partisan that he can’t even acknowledge the troops for a job well done!

BRAVO_ZULU to all the American servicemen and women and a “kiss my butt” to ole Mealy Mouth Murtha.

Also his own service and awards are under scrutiny. Seems he and Swift Boat Kerry have a little in common….

“World War II Navy veteran Harry M. Fox, previously indicated that Murtha in 1968 personally asked Fox’s boss, then-U.S. Rep. John Saylor (R-Pa.), for assistance in obtaining the Purple Hearts, but was turned down because Saylor’s office determined that Murtha lacked sufficient evidence of wounds. Murtha later challenged Saylor for his House seat in 1968 and lost. Fox said he personally viewed Murtha’s military records in 1968 as Saylor’s aide.”

    snip—-

“Pretending to be a big war hero and boasting about having medals is a slap in the face to our veterans who were seriously wounded or killed in action,” Fox was quoted as telling the Uniontown Herald-Standard in the newspaper’s Nov. 1, 1996 edition. “He campaigned as a war hero and I’ve never seen any documentation that he earned any of these honors,” Fox reportedly stated.

    Here’s the whole thing

Saying we should support Murtha and other Liberals because they are veterans…even decorated ones…is like saying we should eat turds because they are organic.

  4. sanjuro on June 9th, 2006 at 8:18 am

What the hell is in the air in DC that causes men such as McCain and Murtha, men who have honorably and valiantly served our nation to become medacious, unctuous, neutered political hacks?

  5. CK on June 9th, 2006 at 8:18 am

Sarge you took the word right outta my keyboard…. turd. That’s exactly the phrase that came to my mind when I read the transcript. The man is an absolute turd.

  6. Robert on June 9th, 2006 at 9:20 am

Well, Mr. Murtha, we’re NOT SURE your a patriotic American, much less a human being. If it wasn’t for the liberal media, we wouldn’t even know you exist. So if anyone out there wants their “fifteen minutes of fame”, all you have to do is say anything anti-war or anti-President Bush and the liberal media will give you those fifteen minutes.

John Murtha - Shiela Jackson Lee - Billary Clintin, John Kerry and Al Gore prove beyond a doubt that communisum is alive and well in the democrat party

They wish to destroy our military, demean our heros and diminish our freedom

  8. Tommy Jefferson on June 9th, 2006 at 9:28 am

The way the MainStreamMedia has been blathering about this, you’d think they killed Osama Bin Laden or found some Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Virtually the whole ABC evening newscast yesterday was about this story. Meanwhile back in the USA we’re 9 TRILLION dollars in debt, employers hire illegals at will, and lazy morons breed like rabbits via government subsidy.

  9. Ree-C Murphey on June 9th, 2006 at 9:35 am

    Ass.

He reminds me of my first “History” teacher in college. His theory was the United States hadn’t won a war since the turn of the 20th century. That we really hadn’t won WWII because it was really the British and Soviets that did most of the fighting and dieing. We were barely in WWI and again, the Brits came up the victors in that war. Of course we loss Vietnam because we were a bunch of loud-mouth bully losers. We were going to loose any war we engaged in.

This is true stuff from over 20 years ago. I remember some guys trying to argue with him and the “Professor” told them to basically “shut up” because it was his class and this is what he believed and felt the facts showed; no one was going to win the arguement against him.

    What an ass.

John Murtha - Shiela Jackson Lee - Billary Clintin, John Kerry and Al Gore are probably mourning the loss!
    sorry bastards!

Let’s get a commitment from Murtha to sign his SF 180. Then we can put his name above right with Kerry’s 495 days since he said he’d sign one.

I have to admit I had to look up unctuos. Great word!

    unc·tu·ous ( P ) Pronunciation Key (ngkch-s)
    adj.
    1. Characterized by affected, exaggerated, or insincere earnestness: “the unctuous, complacent court composer who is consumed with envy and self-loathing” (Rhoda Koenig).
2.Having the quality or characteristics of oil or ointment; slippery.
3.Containing or composed of oil or fat.
4.Abundant in organic materials; soft and rich: unctuous soil.

I despair sometimes to try and reason with the people that post here, but do any of you actually read past the headlines? Murtha’s position is that ground troops should be withdrawn fron Iraq, while keeping a presence “over the horizon” of airpower and Marines to strike when needed. Murtha is not discrediting US troops, he is pointed out that air power took out Zarqawi.

Here is Murtha’s full answer: “Well, I’m not sure about that. I’m not sure it was a bomb that killed him from the air. So I’m not sure about that. But one thing for sure, this is significant. This is significant, two aspects. One is the fact that Zarqawi is killed, but also the fact that they appointed a defense minister and an interior minister. There’s no question we can’t win this militarily. So it’s a matter of time. The Iraqis are getting better. I think the intelligence came from the Iraqis, as I understand it. Now, this is the early reports. And it came to the security forces and the Iraqis and then passed on to the Americans. So this was a key element. Whether they could have done this themselves in this isolated area, I don’t know.

    #13 Argus,
That may be so! But the fact remains that Murtha and his ilk are stepping all over our Soldiers simply to further their own political agenda. And these headlines are being played over and over on Al Jazera and BBC and whatever leftwing commie muslim radio and tv stations in the world.
And, it is one thing for Murtha to voice this garbage but what really chaps my hide is the fact that our socalled republicans don’t step up to the plate to refute this nasty tripe. Our party refuses to fight for our troops and for the conservative principles because they are scared to lose the election.
While our brave Soldiers fight our politicians hide in the tall grass. It is a crying shame!

    THANKYOU ARGUS

    See my post
Stark Says Zarqawi’s Death a Republican Stunt

and my comment where I answered this question

what part of liberalism you disagree with.

Stories like this illustrate my 2nd point of disagreement. EVERYTHING “good” that happens on the Republican’s watch to a liberal is a political stunt. Cynicism like this is dangerous.

Now I want to see the LIBERAL DOTI(TM) defend Starks statements.

Apparently you missed this quote in the story above.

Refusing to give President Bush or US troops credit, Murtha responded: “I’m not sure about that. I’m not sure they couldn’t have done it from the outside. If it’s as portrayed, it was a bomb that killed him from the air, so I’m not sure about that.”

PATHETIC Murtha has all the facts of what happened.

Argus, try this on for size, and go to the part that says listen to the video, and notice the treatment Sergeant Sweeney gets from Representatives Murtha and Moran:

And talk about headlines, how about reading this to see what the DLWM is really like:

    http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/fr/549757/posts

Jennings and Wallace would let American soldiers be ambushed just to get a story.

Argus, do you ever see past the left’s BS?

Argus. Murtha wants to keep troops “over the horizon” I would like for you to visit an atlas (that’s map to you) and figure out just where “over the horizon” you would put troops.

You keep them there or pull them out. None of this other BS.

Unfortunately, Talking points nor blogs can cure the stupidity or brain washing that has mutated these old has beens in the congress.
Every VN Vet was not a volunteer or not a willing one. Many of them came back hating the whole war preface, not they I blame them; but it has twisted a realty in their thinking.

Thanks BIG45IRON!! I saw that program with Jennings and Wallace and have been looking online for it for years. I was in the U,S. Navy at the time watching it aboard ship and the place just erupted in jeers and curses. I never forgot it.
I encourage everyone to pass it on to others especially the fence sitters.

#12 Smacktle, I gotta give credit to THE READERS DIGEST Word Power Dept. Been reading it since I was a kid spending the day at my Aunt Bernice’s house. She got me on to it. Corny but true.

Yeah he did. I wonder if he is still digging his foot out of mouth?

  25. Tommy Jefferson on June 9th, 2006 at 8:14 pm

So this means we won the war in Iraq right?

Now they can stop spending Three Hundred Million Dollars a DAY of my tax dollars?

That’s $100 per day for every man, woman, and child in the US.

I enjoy killing ragheads as much as the next guy, but sheez, four hundred beans a day for my wife and two kids seems kinda steep.
