Israel does a good job taking it to the terrorists, fighting back against them and targeting their leadership. Where they seem to fail is a few times they’ve swapped large numbers of prisoners for one or two Israelis. One of the terrorists in Lebanon yesterday made the comment that they abducted the two Israeli soldiers because they know that they can swap them for prisoners being held in Israel. I wonder if it is time for Israel to instead give the terrorists a deadline - 24 hours, for example, after which some of the terrorist prisoners will be returned to Hezbollah in body bags…Like maybe twenty at a time. That would certainly drop the number of abductions if Hezbollah knows it won’t work.

It might seem cruel, but it could be effective and might be the only way to deal with the terrorists…

What I find amazing is that Israel has struggled against overwhelming odds just for the right to exist. All the Islamic states have achieved in opposing this right is lost territory to Israel and to suffer one humiliating defeat after another.

Now Hezbollah has stepped in it again and Israel is bombing the capitol of Lebanon and blockading it’s ports. In the words of a protest song from the sixties, “when will they ever learn” to leave Israel alone.

Does not bode well. Darn scary.

“EU foreign ministers on Monday could discuss whether the Israeli military attacks on Lebanon were compatible with the bloc’s trade and cooperation agreement with Israel, which is conditional on respect for international law.”

Spineless Euro-weenies… what would it take for the Europeans to actually do something?

If Spain were launching rockets over the border into the Bordeux region of France. And openly harboring and moving terrorists and materiel around in Belgium from Germany that had sworn to destroy the Frogs. Would the Euro-weenies be against France protecting itself? (Hahahaha, like France would fight back…..)

    Thanks, DB.
Good information has been hard to come by, hasn’t it?

  6. shannon Says:

I haven’t found a site with decent maps of the northern Isreal/Lebanon area. Any suggestions?

  7. shannon Says:

Meanwhile, French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy said on Thursday that Israel’s strikes in Lebanon, including the bombardment of Beirut airport, were “a disproportionate act of war.”

No doubt Mr. Douste-Blazy was later overheard to say, “With no air service, how the hell are we supposed to fly in to do our arms deals with the terrorists?”

You can scoot around the region starting with the Gaza strip.

It’d make me happy if the smoke emminating in this satellite shot was a Hamas Hideout.

    Thanks.

How hasn’t the “power” of the UN been brought in to fix this problem?? Why doesn’t somebody propose some worthless sanctions??? Things will never be fixed when one group is determined to eliminate the other group from the face of the earth—coexistance and peace is not in Hamas’ vocabulary and so the war goes on.

Wanted to post this from the Middle East Media Research Institute. SCARY.

It puts a few pieces together about Iran, Syria, and this new war brewing. Very, very scary.

It could also be a lot of propaganda. Not saying its not true, but I don’t trust those A-rabs. ;)

    Remember when….

“The Israelis know that if the Iraqi or the Iranian army came across the Jordan River, I would personally grab a rifle, get in a ditch, and fight and die.”
    - Former US President Bill Clinton, July 31, 2002

It’s all in the parsing of words though. Does Bill mean an actual ditch or a figurative ditch? Could this mean he could just gets in a bad funk or uses foul language?

Now for the rifle part. Does Bill even know how to use a rifle? Has his wife given him permission to use one?

The most interesting part is the last part of the statement. Clinton states he would fight and die. I thought the purpose of military action was to kill your enemy, not to kill yourself. Does this indicate his inclusion in some bizarre suicide cult.

It appears the Israelis are better off without Bill Clinton “helping” them. They are quite capable of defending their country, and besides, Bill usually charges upwards of six figures for a personal appearance. That’s a big expense for a non effective, suicide wishing, military illiterate.

My prayers and best wishes are with the Israelis. “Go Israel, Go”.

The man who should be Israel’s next Prime Minister: “Authentic Jewish Leadership For Israel”

    http://www.jewishisrael.org/jewish_leadership/meetmoshelong.htm

The Likud Party should get a major victory in the upcoming force general election. Ehud Olmert should be dragged into the streets and shot but I’ll take a sipmle vote of no confidence. Get him OUT and a real Israeli in.

How do you say, “long live Israel” in Hebrew?
