good old senator hutch has nothing to fear from this person. however, if she doesnt make a right turn soon; i’m going to run against her on 3 pledges: secure the southern border, pass laws that all illegals may only be guest workers and will never recieve amnesty and cut govt. spending by 5% each year.
if she doesnt drown me w/ attack ads, i believe i would have a better shot than this nut.

#11 - If you ran on that platform, I’d vote for ya! In fact, I have a feeling you could beat just about anyone in Texas politics right now with a platform like that.

  13. skicougar on July 24th, 2006 at 9:26 am

    yeah k-mac,

if i had the money for the campaign; i just might do it.
much like Dan Patrick says w/ the state house, the US GOP senators talk a good game until it comes to a vote and if they dont change now; next time may be too late for the country and i’m willing to stand in the storm for this country. its the least i could do for the vets that are doing this today.

Poor Tommy Texas doesn’t get out of his conservative little bubble much. If he did, he would realize that Barbara Ann Radnofsky has waked up the hard core Democratic base in Texas. He would also know that Texas is not as red as the right wing nuts would have you think it is. I believe the new polls out this week show that Radnofsky is closing in on her opponent. It appears that her opponent is afraid to come out and debate or even campaign, although she doesn’t hesitate to attend a fundraiser on her behalf for her already overfunded campaign!

  16. Christopher on July 24th, 2006 at 1:36 pm

I’m sure that the Radnofsky campaign would like to thank Tommy Texas for the great publicity in their extremely effective radio ads. It’s great that he is helping get out the word that Radnofsky is getting support from US Senators. It is apparent that Senator Hutchinson’s colleagues won’t embrace her. Her Wright Amendment Law is languishing in committee as we speak, and Texas is still $1.9 billion short of hurricane relief!
Senator Hutchinson is a fluffy puff-mistress who is not respected by other Senators, and who is deeply mistrusted by Texans, a mistrust that she earned by rubberstamping failed policies and by moving her family to Virginia!
If Tommy Texas was credible in his field, he might also mention the strong contrast between Senator Hutchinson’s liberal spending records as opposed to Barbara Ann Radnofsky’s record on fiscal responsibility.

2004 Bush Country Map shows that there are 3,000 counties in the U.S. 2,500 are Red. Texas was at least 95% Red.

    Christopher,
    Thanks for reading LST.

Actually, I’m well aware that Ms. Radnofsky has awaken the hard core Democrats. But that won’t be enough to win; she’ll have to do more to reach out to conservative voters, as James Webb has done in Virginia, to have a chance in Texas. Also, stuffing internet polls like the WSJ/Zogby poll and still coming up 15% short isn’t something I’d be bragging about too much.

  19. texasdemocrat on July 25th, 2006 at 7:42 pm

    TexasTommy and Christopher:

I wanted to inform both of you that Babs has not awakened hard core Democrats. Most traditional Democrats do not know who she is unless you consider the hard core Democrats to be bloggers. Then, I’ll agree with you.

But if you think like a political operative, then you’ll realize she doesn’t have a pulse on the Texas Democratic electorate. A prime example is the Primary Election against Gene Kelly - another no name. I mean, seriously people, she went into a run-off election with Gene Kelly (Babs won with 59% of the vote)?!

As a Democrat, Barbara does not appeal to me. First, she can’t even mount a credible campaign. Her messages are off target, her fundraising sucks, and she refuses to make over her image. Second, the entire communications strategy is centered around blogging. Instead of using the blog as a tool to enhance her campaign, her campaign manager (former travel agent from the Panhandle) uses the blog for everything.

Barbara’s campaign is just an example how weak my party is about energizing people to vote for a Democrat. I can’t convey how upset I am with the people my Party has chosen to let run as a Democrat. People with no political experience, no people skills, and lack of integrity. Again, Babrara hasn’t energized the traditional Democratic voter; she’s just a void to fill for an unorganized ideal.
