Let’s see now - debit on the left, credit on the right.

    Isn’t tenure wonderful?

  3. Tito on August 30th, 2006 at 5:52 am

I know I’m nitpicking here, but when referring to gods in plural, the letter ‘g’ is always in lower case, never in upper case. When referring to the one true God, the letter is always in upper case.

Of course if you live in Belgium the official policy has changed to lower case for referring to the one true God, but hey, we all know how much faith these Belgians have anyways.

    God bless,

    Tito

This woman is beyond shameful. Now, she’s just rubbing our noses in it. She’s a common thief and belongs in jail. Unbelievably, many in the black community still support this criminal. I personally can’t stand that shiite-eating grin either.

  5. navymom on August 30th, 2006 at 7:45 am

#4 She sure does have a big ‘ol grin on her face, constantly. Probably because she knows she is screwing the system and getting away with it. The TSU officials are idiots for keeping her employed, tenure or not. She is a thief!!!!!

I guess this doesn’t surprise me. After all Bill Clinton did to shame the presidency, he is still held in high regard.

What is wrong with this country? We are getting WAY to soft!

  6. Dave D on August 30th, 2006 at 7:50 am

Some people have no shame. BTW; Does anyone know how tenure started? I’m guessing it was instituted by some left-wing wackos that wanted to push their communist agenda without getting fired. Ward Churchill comes to mind.

  7. navymom on August 30th, 2006 at 7:53 am

I read somewhere that tenure started way back in the middle ages.

  8. fasternu426 on August 30th, 2006 at 7:59 am

How do I get a job where I get put at the top, get to steal, get caught, not get sent to jail, placed in a lower position, but still on the payroll knowing it is almost impossible to fire me? But at least here I can write al the run-on sentences I want… mwuaaaa haaaa haaa….

  9. fasternu426 on August 30th, 2006 at 8:01 am

Next semester they will have Dr Hannibal Lechter teaching a nutrition course.

  10. Rorschach on August 30th, 2006 at 8:04 am

#9, the key to that is making sure the meat is fully cooked. You don’t want to catch a disease from poorly cooked meat…=D

Why does it suprise anyone that TSU will not fire Priscilla?
If NO will re-elect Nagin and Washington keeps Marion Berry around, and Houston re-elects out of town Brown, Why should she be booted?
We see these people, in the black communitys all over this country, not accepting responsibilities for their actions.
IMHO they believe it’s their right to do as they please and take personable liberties that no one would dare without facing admonishment.
It’s de evil white man’s fault.

She got where She got by using more than intelligence. That is part of the problem as She has the goods on too many of the Board Memebers.

Unfortunately for some, the color of the skin IS more important than the content of the character.

But it’s not racist if you happen to have lots of color in your skin. Only if you are pigmentally-challenged.

  15. bweldon on August 30th, 2006 at 8:51 am

    #11, rj,

It is a matter of TENURE… as long as that process is around people like her who are incompetant or simply criminal will still have jobs.

  16. Robert on August 30th, 2006 at 8:54 am

Since when did “Enron” accounting become a taught subject. Or maybe she’s teaching the students what not to do or face being caught. That smug grinning disgrace is just rubbing it in the face of the administration. It’s no wonder the blacks don’t get any respect!!!!!

I wonder how some of the students enjoy having someone around who almost, thru her dishonesty, ruined the school financially.

  17. tedtam on August 30th, 2006 at 8:55 am

I believe that tenure is supposed to protect professors like lifetime appointments protect judges. To allow them to teach subject matter without being unduly influenced by outside pressures. Not that I agree with either philosophy, but that is what tenure is for (I stand to be corrected if I am wrong). However, I don’t believe that tenure is meant to protect anyone from bearing the consequences of, say, FELONIES!

  18. rj on August 30th, 2006 at 9:08 am

    #’s 15 & 17,

    I agree!
“to allow them to teach without outside pressures”, or without being unduly influenced by facts.

Tenure or re-election, It still amounts to the void of accountability.

Life time appointments and tenure should be abolished.

If she is convicted and gets parole, will they fire her? I think not.

  20. Robert on August 30th, 2006 at 9:31 am

Well, I contacted TSU and got Ms. Slade’s course curriculum that she will be teaching. So here is my “Top Ten” list of courses she will be teaching:

    1) Smug Grinning 101

    2) Padding the Expense Account 102

    3) Doesn’t Add Up 103

    4) Blank Check Accounting 201

    5) I Want It, You Pay For It 202

    6) No Audit Trail Accounting 301

    7) Play The Race Card 302

    8) Somebody Else Pays Accounting 401

    9) Creative Accounting (aka Enron Acct.) 402

    10) Cost Is No Factor Accounting 403

I hope I didn’t miss any other important courses. So feel free to add to my list.

Profits go in this column, expenses go in this column, AND oh yes, If you are stealing the money you can not enter it into the books.

  22. vlou on August 30th, 2006 at 11:40 am

Let’s see if she needs to rely on a calculator for her answers. I hope the calculator has at least 7 or more spaces for the numbers to be read.

  23. trl3 on August 30th, 2006 at 12:12 pm

Now for our class project I want you to come up with new ways to embezzal money without getting caught.

  24. robert5569 on August 30th, 2006 at 2:54 pm

Just think, if Enron was still in business, Skilling would probably now be manager of the compliance department.

Good one! Not that she needs any help embezzling (dare I say it) money from the university - our tax dollars, BTW! I heard on a news report on the radio that she had paid back the university, but haven’t seen anything in print. Anyone?

  26. Neocon on August 30th, 2006 at 9:20 pm

For every debit there is a credit - except when Prof. Sladeis concerned.
