I’ve never been a big fan of Orlando, back when he was running for Mayor; I thought that the Republicans would have a better chance with someone else. I always felt that they picked him because he was Mexican, or Cuban or whatever.

Note to the Republican Party; stop trying to put lipstick on a pig.

I am so tired of being hoodwinked by these politicians. Sometimes I feel like just dropping out, not voting, stop writing the elected officials and hope that the sheer robustness of the country keeps our heads above water.

No one has come up with a plan, including me.

I say vote Rick Perry out and I have a dozen people telling me, “Don’t do that. The Governor appoints judges and if Chris Bell wins it will be all over for the conservatives.” We can’t seem to prequalify these charlatans, look at Glenn Hegar the way he lied to get endorsed by CLOUT. And Tom DeLay, what a piece of work.

I just wish I could find a group with a viable plan to clean up one district at a time. I wish I could find one group that could actually make a impact on the illegal alien problem. I wish I could find one group that could stop the free loaders from New Orleans from getting my hard earned tax dollars.

The people we elect tells us how they share our values, then thumb their noses at us when we try to hold them to their promises.

I liked the two cents thing I heard about on this site. I sent my two cents in and printed out the cancelled check. I liked it when we were all calling our legislators and voicing our opinion.

Ok, I’m done venting. Somebody out there motivate me.

I believe in changing the party within. Get rid of the “rinos”. Don’t put in Democrats like Chris Bell because it is easier to change at the primary level than the general level. Protest votes put in some real loser who could screw things up so bad it would take longer to fix. As far as Orlando goes, he’s as close to a “rino” as you can get without actually being one. He uses the Republican base to achieve his objectives, get a government paycheck. I don’t think he has ever held a real job!!!!!!

You guys just now seeing this you could tell when he was on KSEV he would sell his Mother or daughter for whatever is necessary to get back on the public dole. KSEV station management needs to get more aggressive with keeping rino’s like orlando off. The afternoon section is getting too butt kissy and rino leaning. Forget about appraisal cap limits or anything else until KSEV decides to get politicians in the political crosshairs for election termination.

I don’t trust any of them anymore. The dems run their ‘A’ team of lawyers and activists and conservatives run the ‘B or C’ team. Conservatives are too busy making payrolls and keeping the real world running to take a pay cut or lose what they work hard for to run for office.

Never vote for anyone that has not worked for a living. That includes a most lawyers and anyone that has ever been labelled any type of activist!
We are turning into a country run by an elite class that cares nothing for us. One party pretends to be for the little guy and the workers, but is run by fat cat activists (dems). The other pretends to be for business and free enterprise, but has sold us down the river to stay in power. I say, a pox on both houses!

I heard Chris Begala on KPRC again this morning. Is he still on KSEV sometimes, too.

fasternu - it all comes down to selfishness, power, money and greed. That is the basis for two-faced politicians.

    David,

I have never been a fan of Orlando Sanchez, but I just about spewed my coffee across the monitor when I read your line about a core value of Republicans being limited government.

You sure could not prove that by the actions of the Bush Administration. They have grown government and increased spending more than most starry-eyed liberals could dream.

I am still sore about the 2005 Highway Bill and the Prescription Drug bill. Both passed with overwhelming Republican Support.

Limited Government and frugal spending might have been the exclusive domain of the Republican Party at one time, but it is safe to say they have abandoned those core beliefs.

VOTE Kinky!! How can ANYONE be worse than the Breck Girl. Business Tax!! Pseudo property tax reform!! Damn I’m tough on the borders…”Fool me once, Shame on you, fool me twice, shame on ME!”

    Kinky says

    1. Will send National Guard to border. 10,000
    2. Will resens new business tax.
    3. Will set appraisal caps at 3 percent.
    4. Will sign trigger bill.
    5. Will follow law on death sentence.

I don’t like his stand on guns, but at this point I agree with more that he is doing than anyone else in the race.

I want Kinky to be my Shepard.

It didn’t strike me that way. The costs to the county from illegal aliens do have a bearing on the office of County Treasurer and if elected, he can simply report it. How much illegals are costing the hospital district, the county jail system, social services, etc. is a concern of mine. That would provide an additional check on expenditure of county funds, which is what the Chronicle welcomed.
