yeah right! Goodbye Rhino come Nov.
    BTW First againnnnnnnn!

Gov. Perry should not get comfortable in the Governor’s mansion. If not this November, then the next primary election. No more promises not kept, no more taxes when there is a surplus–enough is enough. Unfortunately for the Texas voter, we have no options. I can’t see putting in any of Perry’s opponents least of all Chris “I’m as liberal as it gets” Bell. Changes have to be made within the party thru the primary process.

while keeping the plight of the taxpaying public foremost on its mind.

That has got to be the most condescending bunch of bull SELF DELETED EXPETIVE I have read in a long while. It ranks up there with the old “For the children” tripe.

I hope the boy did not hurt himself spinning that phrase.

Two weeks AFTER the election, though.

Adios, Governor Mofo… WHEN you lose, I’ll be laughing.

  5. Neocon on September 20th, 2006 at 3:12 pm

At this point, Chris Bell looks good! How can Perry look any more liberal than Bell? At least Bell tells us what he is going to do! “Stand still, I’m going to screw you!!”

Perry just screws us, without any kisses or hugs.

I don’t really care when the task force arrives, as I think task forces, like committees, are generally just a waste of tax dollars and release of a lot of hot air.

It shouldn’t take a task force to legislate a X% cap on appraisal increases. See, I just did it (once you replace X with a number lower than 8).

#5 Yes, Neocon, you’re right but afterwards Perry also gets on TV and tells us how much we enjoyed it. Bovine Scatology!!!
    Vote Kinky

    Reply to #5, Neocon,

Having Chris “I’m not a closet liberal” Bell elected would be a PR nightmare. Why give the Democrats any thought that they could retake the state. We worked too hard to eliminate that vermin, why put it back as a protest. Why give them a “soapbox” to spew liberal rhetoric from? No change has to come within and thru the primary system. Let Perry barely win, then he will know!!!

LIAR - LIAR PANTS ON FIRE

My #5 was tongue in cheek! Never would I vote Democrat! I should have put a “/sarcastic” after my comment! ;)

This is like a choice between being bitten by a rattlesnake or a tarantula: neither seem like a very appealing option to me.

Guess I’ll vote Libertarian, whoever it is. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I would sooner gouge my eye out with a spoon as to ever vote for either of those POS’s Perry or Donothing again!!!

  14. Dave D on September 20th, 2006 at 6:55 pm

O.K,…here goes, Boys and Girls, Neocon says, “Chris Bell looks good! How can Perry look any more liberal than Bell? At least Bell tells us what he is going to do! “Stand still, I’m going to screw you!!” Robert says “Let Perry barely win, then he will know!!!” Neocon was making a valid point even though she was half joking. Robert wants the Republicans in power. I want REAL CONSERVATIVE Republicans in power. If we fire Perry and vote for the Clown, Kinky, we may get their attention. Kinky can’t do any real damage and if Bell gets elected it’s not the end of the world, you can bet your A$$ that the next Republican in the primary WILL be conservative!!
I read that Grandma’s numbers are up, that’s good news because she’ll loose and pull votes away from Perry, and this will not help Bell but may give Kinky a chance. Whatever you do PLEASE look into the Business tax that taxes Gross, not net, income. Any accounting 101 student will tell you that this is INDUSTRIAL STRENGHT STUPID!!
    Fire Perry, Vote Kinky!

  15. Dave D on September 20th, 2006 at 7:03 pm

PBFloyd, I like a lot of things about the Libertarians but in todays world, you would be throwing away your vote, ala Perot.

Changes have to be made within the party thru the primary process.

I hear that exact same line every November when there’s talk among the GOP base about making an example of a RINO. Then when the next March primary roles around 2 years later it changes to

“We need to unite behind RINO X so the Democrats won’t see him as vulnerable in November”

In the primary they tell us we have no choice but to stick with what we got, then they tell us to shut up and toe the party line to beat the Dems. It’s a vicious cycle, and there’s never any real option given to us to toss out the RINOs.

Think about it and ask yourself when the last time we got a choice that wasn’t Perry, Dewhurst et al in the primary. The answer is never.

In case anybody’s already forgotten Sen. Hutchison was talking about challenging RINO Rick in the primary for a while. But then the “party unity” harpies unleashed on her and insisted that if she challenged him it’d “divide the party” and “make us vulnerable in November.” And who were these people? Our very own elected State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) members, who threatened to push through a resolution endorsing Perry if Kay ran. So Kay stepped out.

Well guess what. Now we’re saddled with Perry - the only choice we were given in the primary. The party’s divided anyway because Perry himself divided it with his backdoor income tax bill. And Perry’s looking pretty damn vulnerable this November anyway with his latest poll numbers at 33%.

It’s a ripe time to send our message to the RINOS this year, cause if we wait till the next primary we’ll only get more of the exact same crap.
