    Bayer plant?

Did Clinton bomb another aspirin plant to get the focus off his Fox interview?

Andrew Fastow letting off (lighting off) a little on the pucker factor after getting only 6 years in jail.

Its been reported the people who came in contact with the Bayer chemical cloud have noticed their headaches and arthritis symptoms have gone away.

I was in the Bayer Plant this morning and left about 10:45. Talk about your good timing. The explosion however was in my son-in-law’s section of the chemical plant. He is OK but said about 20 people had mino injuries but no fatalities thank the Lord.

Hogfan, that is what I call excellent timing on your part. I’m glad to hear your son-in-law is OK too.

SOME people around here have no sense of decorum at all.

This place makes phosgene gas. REAL bad stuff used in WWI as a chemical warfare agent. Smells like new moan hay. One good lung full and your dead in about 8-24 hours.

  7. Maltboy! on September 26th, 2006 at 3:08 pm

And TDI is not very nice either. Also causes severe allergic reactions and edema.

  8. Maltboy! on September 26th, 2006 at 3:17 pm

Better make that new mown hay. New moan hay is way too noisy.

#8, but rolling in it can be awful fun.

Maltboy you beat me to the punch on that one. Kudos.

Moen hay is a hole ‘nuther story though

Thank God that you and your son-in-law are both okay. I hope all the others will be released with no major injuries.

    Hogfan,

Glad to hear you and son-in-law are OK.

A fellow draftsman (and friend of mine) works at that plant. Trying to get ahold of the family to make sure he’s OK. Odds are pretty good he was indoors at the time of the explosion, at least I’m hoping so.

  14. The Dude on September 26th, 2006 at 5:02 pm

Well my friend is OK. Turns out he would have been out in that unit this morning, but he got hit in the head with a softball this past weekend and had stitches, so he couldn’t wear a hardhat. Maybe the luckiest blow to the head he ever took.

I was a draftsman in another life years ago.

My brother works at one of those Bayer/Baytown plants, and he’s on the firefighting team.

  17. Big45Iron on September 26th, 2006 at 6:29 pm

He’s also in charge of their emergency response team.
