Drug War Victory Watch (part V)
by David Benzion · 10/03/2006 3:07 pmTake that, you coca-crazed Mexican bandits!
Federal agents said they seized about 1,200 pounds of cocaine found inside secret compartments of two private tour buses trying to cross the Mexican border.
The street value of the drugs was close to $37 million, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement late Monday.

$37 million dollars worth of cocaine off the streets. You can bet that’s gonna have a big impact on the supply of cocaine in America!
I was particularly impressed by this sentence, which I’ve highlighted in bold:
Agency spokesman Felix Garza declined to comment today on whether any arrests have been made. Despite similarities between the two vehicles and their arrival times, he said the seizures were unrelated.
Wow–those border agents must be good, what with their ability to catch two of these smuggling buses. Probably not more than 10 or so of these drug-packed convoys cross into the U.S. every year I figure, so it looks to me like we’ve managed to reduce the influx of illegal cocaine into the States by about 20% for the coming year.
I can smell the Victory right around the corner…

OOH YEA! Now at all related
This is a war we can win. I don’t why we are even trying. Pull out now, give up, the drug guys win.
One doesn’t really know what the impact of this seizure will be. Is this major or a “drop in the bucket”?? At least they are trying because if they weren’t we would really have a drug problem here.
vote Kinky, he will legalise drug and law enforcement agency will focus on actual criminals.
Why does anyone want to ingest drugs? If they have a problem, it only exacerbates it. Mind altering alternatives do not solve the problem.
I thought Mexicans just came here to do the jobs Americans wont do. Now they are bringing drugs in?
Does GWB know about this?
Noodles
Kinky does not want to legalize drugs. Do your homework. He wants to change the laws to make having small amounts a misdemeanor rather than a felony as it is today in Texas. This clears the prisons for felony offenders.

So it is one baby step, not bad, not bad at all.
Vote for him anyway he will take Texas into a new direction which we so desperately need.
But…but…I thought we were being encouraged to support the open borders. Isn’t this good for everybody? You know, just a free flow of goods (and bads, obviously) and labor back and forth across the border.
#6. LMAO always pinning it on “MEXICANS”!! I think you meant to say illegals? Or so that is what the claim is right? But wait its not about Mexicans, just about illegal immigration, yeah right.
#8. Kinky has a good point, free those non violent offenders and lock away the violent. Although keep multiple offenders locked up.
