I stopped taking the Chronicle long ago and started getting my news from
http://www.gethouston.com/get/dailynews.php which links me directly here, Drudge and other places. I have noticed when I throw my elderly neighbor’s paper closer to her house that it is now smaller than the weekly junk papers thrown in our neighborhood.

I love the first comment on the Chron’s blog page. Good way to start my day.

what is a “Houston Chronicle” the name sounds faintly familiar, but I can’t place it - what was it again………………………………………………………………… …………………………………………………………………………….OOOH yea I remember chronical, houston - that once upon a time irrelevent news paper that died out way back when. Hadn;t thought of them in years!

the chronicle is going the way of the yellow pages. it keeps shinking every year.

gee i wonder why? could it be their policies - maybe? or their editorial sections? or the biased reporting and placement of articles thruout the paper itself? naw all of those!

Did Matt really have to go to HAWAII so as to provide plausible deniability? This big-city newspaper destruction gig is full of perks, eh??

The Chron has this covered. They keep throwing their damn paper in my yard and I have not subscribed for bunches of years.

You have to really wonder about Matt going to Hawaii. Was my donation really a part of his ticket, hotel room? If I were Squawk I would be wondering…

Cragg Hines, Clay Robison and Mary Jo Kopechne had no comment on this story. Ms. Kopechne did point out though that while Iraq is NOT a quagmire, Chappaquiddick IS!

  12. Definitely Blonde on October 5th, 2006 at 10:49 am

Speaking of Chappaquiddick - is it a fact that ALL MALE KENNEDYS are flat out drunks? and if the liberially biased papers can not ignore it - many are murders

What surprises me is that chron.com is hosted from the Chronicle building and not a real datacenter. The chron.com website seems large enough that you’d think it would be hosted on servers backed by adequate generator power.

It would take Rob a while to get to the newsroom from Minot. Maybe there’s a spare missile he could commandere.
