Even in East Texas, people have to work (even at the paper mill and the chicken plants). He would have gotten a better turnout here in Evacuee-town where the ration of taxpayers and tax recipients is a little more favorable.

Everybody knows the scheduling was done with purpose and for a reason—to look concerned and get reelected. It’s easy to acknowledge there is a problem but it is another thing to actually do something about it.

Lufkin City Manager Paul Parker, assuring Pauken the event was well-advertised, suggested low attendance indicated homeowners’ satisfaction with local property tax appraisals.

Only the mind of a brainless bureaucrat could reach such a conclusion.

    What a dork.

    wnat a moron!

We all knew from the begining that this was just for “re-election show” and that nothing will come of it. It just makes me want to ring gov hair sprays neck and get that knowitall grin off his face! He is such a phoney!

    GO KINKY

Just more of the elitist attitude by elected officials. Down the road in Livingston, there have been across the board property tax appraisal hikes. This is all in preparation of the coming appraisal caps statewide.

  6. trl3 on October 6th, 2006 at 11:15 am

This should answer why so many conservatives are going to vote for Kinky even though he has many liberal ideas.

  7. trl3 on October 6th, 2006 at 11:23 am

Why I will vote for Kinky

    1. Perry LIED to us. He was not mistaken and he did not change his mind. HE LIED.

    2. Kinky is not a polititian like every one else in the race. If he won he would be in for 1 term and be gone.

    3. Kinky has stated that he will support a 3 percent appraisal cap, will resend the business tax, will sign a trigger law if passed, will not commute death sentences, and would strenghten our ILLEGAL immigration enforcement.

    4. I think Kinky is a better conservative than the 2 calling themselves conservatives.

bye bye gov hair spray - we will love to see you go!

YEA KINKY - all the way to the gov. mansion

Here are some other reasons we should vote for Kinky:

    1) He has never held office so will he know what to do if he gets in.

    2) He has no track record of how he will vote so he stands on what he says. How many times have other politicans done that.

    3) He can promise you everything you want but can he deliver.

    4) His plan is vague and open to interpretation.

Vote, reluctantly, for Perry and then fix things within the party. No need having somebody else come in and screw things up, make it worse and then have to fix it. Remember there are judical appointments that have to be made.

I always voted for Perry in the past, But the man is a liar and I do not trust him.

Does anyone with a brain believe governor Goodhair is going to hear anything from his commission other than what he wants to hear?

  12. trl3 on October 6th, 2006 at 12:27 pm

Why I will not vote for Perry.

    1. Perry has held the office and we know exactly what to expect if he stays in.

    2. Perry has a track record of how he votes and he must stand on that pitiful record.

    3. Perry has delivered, and I didn’t like the package.

    4. His plan is know dispite his efforts to cover it up. He is trying to side step what he has done and confuse the issues.

Since I know exactly what I will get with Perry, I would rather vote for Kinky, this making it easier to fix things within the party and put a TRUE CONSERVATIVE into the govenors seat. I think that this could be don’t without damaging the party or the State. It may just shake up some others into acting like the Republicans they claim to be.

I think that the report was written before the commission was formed and that after a few window dressing meetings the report will be delivered and the taxpayer will be screwed again.

If you conservatives would just behaved like the well trained black voters are we would have no problems, eh? The blacks vote 90+% democrat and see how their party ignores them. Conservatives, you have no other place to go but the republican party. So get back in line and vote for this sorry little party, right? I for one refuse to be taken for granted.
