MSM endorses RINO

Dallas Morning News Editorial Board
We Recommend Jodie Laubenberg in Texas House District 89
Thursday, October 5, 2006Two years ago, we praised State Rep. Jodie Laubenberg as part of a bloc of new, energetic House members. In particular, we lauded the former Parker City Council member for being unafraid to speak up even when it put her at odds with Republican leadership in Austin.
Make no mistake. She’s a conservative who is not as progressive as we would like on some issues. Nonetheless, Ms. Laubenberg, 49, gets our nod for another term representing District 89 in Austin.
She’s an independent, principled thinker who possesses energy, passion and the willingness to tackle issues that impact her district and the state.
For example, Ms. Laubenberg advocates a regional mass transit system despite her admitted concerns about how to pay for it in a way that would be fair to all cities. And although she would like to see school voucher pilot programs, she also backs more dollars for public schools. Ms. Laubenberg also supports changes to require the Texas Legislature to record major votes, an issue that put her at odds with others in her party.
In the coming years, we expect Ms. Laubenberg to become more influential in Austin. Case in point: appraisal caps. She rightly challenged Gov. Rick Perry’s plan for a tight cap on property appraisals, noting that some local governments could be financially crippled.
However, she favors finding new ways to relieve the property tax burdens on homeowners and recently told this editorial board that she is likely to support the recommendation of a state committee organized to review the appraisal cap issue.
- Willing to expand mass transit despite no freaking idea how to “pay for it in a way that would be fair to all cities”? Check.
- Afraid to advocate for competition in education without pouring more money down the current failed public school rat-hole? Check.
- Track-record of serving the interests of government bureaucracies rather than the taxpayers who are footing the bill? Check.
- Prepared to vaguely support property tax relief with a promise to go along with whatever recommendation comes out of the Governor’s dog-and-pony show? Check.
The perfect Republican RINO that is palatable to a Mainstream-Media editorial board.
Like I said– at least they are being upfront about it.

Give me a break…all these great ideas with no real stand or strategy for implementation. It appears that she is afraid of her own shadow. Like a waffle…not sure which is the right side.
No wonder the Dallas version of the Comical likes her, she’s most certainly NOT a conservative!
“a conservative who is not as progressive as we would like on some issues”
How progressive do they want? Would Chairman Mao do?

Nuff said.
How in blueblazes does she know she’ll support the committee recommendations without knowing what they are????
Perhaps she knows their will be no recommendation to lower the caps??
More intellectual flatulence from the purveyors of misinformation(PROPAGANDA!)and misery by the socialists in the LameStreamMedia in the DFW area.
Comes under the heading of don’t whiz on my head, and tell me it’s raining……..
Don’t know about you guys, but I’ve seen enough smoke blown in my days to know it when I sees it……..the DFW version of ‘Pravda for the Sheeeple’.
If you look at Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto, the word “progressive” is found throughout. It is also found throughout Communist organizations. This is what the left/liberals/Democrats really want for American society. They do not want a free society based on capitalism and free markets.
Bring up the websites below, and do an edit search for the word progessive in each of them.

Then consider the history of “progressives” - Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot. If the liberals in America had it within their power, they would be just as ruthless as any of the aforementioned tyrants in stamping out your freedom of speech, or freedom of anything for that matter. They would put a boot on your neck and a bayonet in your back to shut you up. Well, they wouldn’t do it themselves since they don’t have the guts for that. They’d try to hire somebody to do it for them.
When you hear the word progressive used by liberals, just remember the real meaning of the word for this is the road to a communist society. And we know what social utopias those are!
Do you remember the first time we tried to get a 3% cap, It was Jodie Ludenberg who with Fred the hoe’s help killed it then when it can up for a vote she refused to vote at all.
Do you remember her comment “I want my house value to go up” She is such an idiot to believe that tax value means a dam (n) thing.
She is as bad as fred hoe hill!
We got rid of Fred’s hoe Carter Castille. We need to fire as many of Fred’s hoes as we can. Austin has the biggest hoe house in Texas, and we need to put a stop to that.
I love it.
It just keeps getting better and better.
SERENITY NOW!
