What’s next an “illegal alien union” striking for more social welfare besides free schooling and free medical help. Look, they are getting what their own country cannot and will not provide so they decided to let the dumb US smucks pay for everything!!!! That’s right, we’re the smucks who keep giving in to ILLEGAL aliens, we cannot take care of our own but they expect us to help them. Isn’t that considered aiding and abetting a criminal (aka illegal aliens).

Fire em all, there are plenty more to replace them every day, just look at how many cross the border everyday.

Speaking of protecting our border, why is the national guard sent to help boarder patroling the boarder? why do they have no guns and bullets? What was the point? Sounds to me like a way for perry to claim he did something, when he didnt?

Kinky looks better and better every day

    Blonde,

If they fire them all they will do is file a discrimination lawsuit. That leads to more taxpayer money spent on legal fees. And then some LIBERAL ASS judge and/or jury will feel sorry for them and award millions to them. They need to set up a meeting between them and hotel officials, then have INS officers come in and check ID as they leave. The legal ones can go home and the ILLEGALS go to jail for deportation.

They will not need a union if this was added to the mexican boarder - armed of course.

U.S. aircraft on watch along U.S.-Canada border

    GREAT FALLS, Mont. -

Blackhawk helicopters and interceptor jets have begun patrolling Montana airspace along the U.S.-Canada border, and American officials say unmanned drones could be deployed as early as next year.

But the U.S. is playing down the new security measure, claiming it has little to do with Canadians but more to do with the threat of terrorists using Canada as a staging point for attacks in America.

I have no problem with people wanting a higher wage and benifits–who would turn that down. What I have a problem with is illegals creating such a huge pool of cheap, illegal, labor and the companies that hire and profit from them. If the illegals weren’t here, companies wouldn’t have a choice but to pay better wages to legal residents and there would be no need for a strike.

    # 3 Gary - you have a good point, think I like your idea better but if only INS and ICE would bother to deport them instead of giving them a pass as usual.

    # 5 If we inforced the laws currently in affect, the government would be forced to create a way to actually check someones legal status prior to hiring them (maybe a hugh database everyone could access.) Then enforce the law, if a company hires them - fine the daylights out of then

We also need a federal law thet apartments and individuals can not rent to them.

Thus no job - no where to live! BYE BYE illegals

Illegal or not. UNIONS SUCK! They at one time in this country were needed and had purpose. They have outlived their usefulness. Truckers, auto workers, oil, pipe fitters, plumbers, cops, fire fighters, electricians. Doesn’t matter. They are now a drain on industry.

If they can’t read or write ENGLISH they aren’t worth very much.

How about a taxpayers union? juelga-this!!

    # 9 - a tax payers union - yeah that sounds good, we could use small dues to lobby Austin and prevent them from being STUPID.

    Reply to No. 7:

I agree with you, the unions have only driven up the cost of goods for repetitive work. A perfect example is the auto industry where the union negotiates a salary increase for doing the same job over and over, no additional skills required. Let the marketplace dictate your value.

Threaten to strike?…reckon they can read the contract where they sign the X. Oh wait, it isn’t required, to know how to read and write, something about their ‘illegal rights’ and suing me for laughing at them.

I like the idea of after the union vote to strike have the INS load them on buses headed for the border but not before they give the name of their employer (building, hotel, motel, restaurant) which is fined $10,000/each.

Guys, I don’t like Unions either, but the fact is that Unions come around when companies abuse there employees. At 5 dollars per hour, no one can claim they are being greedy for wanting a raise to $8 dollars per hour. Come on, lose the hate.

Finally, the realities are that only hispanics that are illegal will do this job. I’m not going to do it and I doubt none of you will. If you want non illegals to do the work, then be prepared to pay a lot more than 8 dollars per hour.

First of all that “jobs you won’t do” argument is bogus on a couple fronts. I know many folks that could not get hired because they are white. They needed the jobs just like the illegals and would gladly accept any pay an hour. Wanna know where they finally got jobs? McDonalds for minimum wage.

Next it is insulting to my friends that are in the janitorial services working for minimum wage that are legal. Your pathetic argument of keeping illegals around for cheap labor amounts to indentured servitude and if I was one of them I would be highly pissed at that slight.

That is creating a permanent class of low income people that will be a further drag on society on the long.

I want to see the illegals get higher wages. Want to know why? Then these companies that hire illegals will go out of business. Legit companies will pick up their business and in the free market the wages paid will be driven by demand. Read the papers lately? There is such a shortage of labor in New Orleans that burger joints are paying up to $10.00 an hour and a sign on bonus. That is what the free market offers.

If theses prople are unsatisified with their current wage options they can always learn a skill or get an education the will give them the oppourtunities to make more money. Oh wait, that’s too hard right?

  17. jleaves306 on October 18th, 2006 at 7:30 am

We are fixing to be at the bottom of the page, but I totally reject that your friends wanted jobs in the janitorial industry. They chose McDonalds, which by the way is paying over 8 dollars an hour where I live in Friendswood.

Again, if they leave, no one will do it for near the 5 dollars/hour price.

Think with you mind and not your glands.
