I resent that my freedom of speech is being infringed by people who claim I cannot speak up against their comments. As we say at A&M “Highway 6 runs both ways.” Let’s paraphrase: “Free speech runs both ways.”

I have always taught my children that they may be free to make certain decisions regarding their behavior, but that each action will result in certain consequences. This lesson was absorbed by age 5. Obviously, some adults have yet to learn this lesson.

I hope you sent this to Laura. She’d love it!!

Somebody needs to remind the Ditzy Clucks that it’s the government that can’t censor, but the rest of us are certainly free to and to vote with our dollars!!

This picture definitely needs my “Top Ten” list of captions. The Democrats will appreciate my humor. So here goes:

    1) Hurry, Bill, it’s getting cold here!!!

    2) Damn it!!! Take us serious, we’re entertainers.

    3) See, we’ve got nothing to hide so you’ll hear the truth from us.

    4) We represent the “moral fiber” of the Democratic Party.

    5) Three girls, Bill didn’t have to rape.

    6) We were at the Super Bowl party with Harold Ford.

    7) What Hillary, Nancy and Diane wished they would look like after a makeover (a big makeover).

    8) The “boobs” at the Democratic Party told us to do this.

    9) We gave the shirts off our backs to get the Democrats noticed.

    10) Watch us fool the Oprah crowd!!!

I hope you all enjoy these as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Reality - some people never grow up no matter how old they get.

  5. navymom on October 25th, 2006 at 12:17 pm

Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but just because you are some sort of a supposed “celebrity” does not give you the right to drown me with YOUR opinions. I am so sick of all these know it all types who have a few dollars in the bank and their 15 minutes of fame trying to force feed their audiences their own propagana.

I also believe if you are gonna assert your right to free speech, assert that freedom on your own home soil, not in foreign countries. What’s the matter, Dixie Chicks, afraid to get your a** kicked by some REAL Texans?? As a military mom, I was ready to be first in line!! How dare you say that, as my son is on a destroyer in the Persian Gulf, sending over “shock and awe”? Not one of you have any respect whatsoever. You might as well move to Canada, or better yet, pack your sh**t and move to Iraq!

#5 Concur with navymom, this is one time I think a burka and veil would be an improvement!

Come to think of it, maybe the Dixie Twits would
appreciate their country a little better if they experienced the way other country’s live…..great idea!

  7. Narly on October 25th, 2006 at 12:41 pm

The fact that the Ditzy Twits can’t let go and feel they have to keep regurgitating the same old crap speaks volumes about the opinions (that is the lack of play time, CD sales and concert ticket sales) that the public in general has toward them.

The Dixie chicks have the freedom to say what they will.

I use my freedom of speech to disagree with them by not listening to them or buying their junk.

  10. Big45Iron on October 25th, 2006 at 1:10 pm

If the liberals had the power, they’d be every bit as ruthless as Stalin or Mao or Pol Pot in restraining your freedom of speech. They want a boot on your neck and a bayonet in your back. And when it comes to minorities, liberals are the modern day slave plantation owners. Let any minority DARE to voice conservative opinions, and the liberals will hunt them down and punish them. Absolutely no freedom of expression allowed minorities by liberals. Tow the line or you will pay.

That’s a big difference. Conservatives encourage liberals to speak openly and honestly about what they believe. That way people can see exactly what liberals represent, and we will have no fear about them ever holding the reins of power again.

Just tell the Chixie Dix that their services are no longer needed

  12. Maltboy! on October 25th, 2006 at 1:55 pm

The Dicksy Chicks should change their name to The Three French Hens.

  13. RickG on October 25th, 2006 at 3:28 pm

They only wish they looked like that (I can’t remember what magazine cover that photo originally appeared on when the controversy broke). It was only after some mighty powerful air brushing, especially for chubby Natalie Maines.

Maybe they can sing and one of Cindy Sheehan’s campouts.

  14. ThunderHawkk on October 25th, 2006 at 4:25 pm

n.maines, the head Dixie Chunk, is a perfect example of how tyrannical liberals would be if they ever have total power. Today’s liberals, the Dixie Chunk included, would make Stalin look tame.

I think conservatives come off as whiners, contantly worrying about anyone who dares to disagree with the president. Is this the new conservative mindset? Remember, the constitution? That GD piece of paper as George Bush called it once, during the summer, if you will recall? Constant harping about the liberals is counter productive. Does it really matter anyway? Can you tell me one time in your lifetime when things got better from year to year? They never do, do they? Why is that? Why is it that things continually get worse and worse and I mean, what can conservatives say now. They have had the presidency for the last two terms, they have had the senate, and they have the house, yet nothing good seems to come of it. I remember Rush used to make excuses for the lack of good conservative politics coming out of the congress. Oh just give them time. They have to get used to being in power. I say rubbish. It doesn’t matter who we elect, they always do the same thing. They go against the real wishes of the American people. Isn’t it time for us to consider a new party? I know that is sacrilege around here but should it be something to think about now in this time of our dying republic? Pat Buchanan said one time that when the Republicans absorbed the neocon communist, the grand old party left him. I think he is right. They have left us all at the dance and we stand around with our dunce caps on,sucking our thumbs.

#15…uuuh Leo, did ya read my post in open comments yesterday? I understand. I may be calling myself Undeservative Party or Indendent Conservative…As for Freedom of Speech, I totally agree with Freedom of Speech, but am also aware that Freedom of Speech MAY come with repercussions…Kinda like those Republicans who turned on me Monday. Hey, I can take it!

I watched Okra today. I wanted to hear what they had to say…Made my blood boil. I never heard anyone mention Freedom of Speech may have repercussions…./pukes

I would listen to this george before I listen to the Dixie Chunks.

  20. Neocon on October 25th, 2006 at 9:41 pm

Leo, get a freakin life! Welcome to the real world! Liberalism = socialism. Pure and simple. No more need to bring it to your attention.

We are whiners? You want liberals in power? Vote liberals and see what you get. Hope you don’t own property or are making $50,000 a year — you are doomed!

You need to stop whining unless it is the libs you want in power. Transparent, uh, yesssss!

  21. dottiem on October 26th, 2006 at 6:34 am

Dixie Chicks not allowed on my radio or TV, no exception.

  22. Mike Smith on October 26th, 2006 at 6:45 am

I am convinced that pessimists have to be liberals or socialists. In fact, here’s a list of socialistic pessimists that infest our Congress:

Question: What do the Dixie Chicks and GWB have in common?

Answer: They both have poor approval ratings!

    Simple
