Being an officer is one of the most thankless jobs ever. It is also one of the most important. The police almost single handedly keep our society from descending into complete anarchy and madness. While no one enjoys getting a traffic ticket, there is nothing more moving than the sight of a cop when you need them.
If you have ever thought of becoming an officer, I hope you seriously consider doing so.
We need you!!

Wish I could. My ex served 37 years before retiring (also former Marine). I once asked him why he did it and he replied, “I wanted to protect women and children.” Everytime there was a crime described on the media, he would say, “that is why I joined, to keep that crap from happening.” Kudos to our men and women who serve!
