What does Bob Smither need to do to win this thing. What should he say that would make you realize that he can pull this off and make a good showing. The Chonicle pole is FOS. It is flat wrong. Drstereo in Westbury

Thank you Tom Delay for your gift to the Demoncrats.

Tom Delay had nothing to do with this, it was the Republican leadership that proved to be fair weather friends, as they always do, that got us here. They didn’t back him up, AND they purposely delayed replacing him, thinking that they could then pick the replacement, and not the voters.

Personally, I would have recommended voting against Shelley in the special, and then write her in for the general. We need to remind these folks of who is boss. Remember, they need us, not vice-versa.

I early voted Saturday in Rosenberg, Dist. 22. From the length of stays at the e-Slates and the protracted clicking sounds, Shelley Sekula-Gibbs was getting support from many (me included). The poll workers said turnout so far had been steady and quite large. The write-in is easy to do.

The Lampson folks must be getting nervous as they’re claiming (whining) that poll workers are giving voters “too much help” with the e-Slates (as reported in the Monday Fort Bend Herald)
Ahem… The shoe’s on the other foot now.

I voted for Kinky, skipped Dewhurst, and skipped Ft. Bend County Judge Bob Hebert (unopposed) as he’s proud the county pays dues to TAC (Texas Ass’n of Counties) and hired lobbyists to look to the interests of FBC (Houston Chronicle Fort Bend County Neighborhood News, 10-5-06). Sorry, that’s our tax money being used to fight lowering appraisal caps. Suggest skipping him on the ballot in protest. CLOUT needs to do an intervention in FBC after the election. We unfortunately have RINOs in office who need to be brought to heel.

Do not ever give a Democrat a foothold into anything!!! We do not want them to have a platform from which to speak. They already have the liberal media. We will make changes in the primaries!!!!

I wish I could vote against lampson but I am in d-7

we know shelley isnt the female version of culberson(ultra strong conservative), but if youre in Houston; she’s the best chance Houstonians have to say to the nation that the GOP is 100% better for the country than democrats. show ‘em some support !

(you die-hard conservatives can take the doctor out next primary if she flinches in DC)

    Robert and Definitely Blonde (7&8)

Right on to both of your comments. DB, great that you have Culberson as your Rep.

When Dist. 22 was stuck with a write-in as the only option I was for throwing the GOP support behind Libertarian Bob Smither as the better choice to deny the Dems the seat. Still think it would have been preferable. The write-in campaign is fraught with pitfalls, and the object is to deny the Dems their prize. They are counting on it as their crowning achievement in disposing of Tom DeLay. Sorta scorched-earth tactics. Not so fast there. Please, all conservatives in Dist. 22 show them we are &%#^@!!! mad and not going to let it happen on our watch. Vote and show it. Don’t stay home.

Don’t vote for Lampson ( as if you were going to)
Vote for the woman at least she has a better pair of legs.

Shelley is stong on protecting our boarders, against embryonic stem-cell research (based on her knowledge as a physician), against socialized medicine, for increasing America’s energy independence, against the death tax, for returning taxpayer dollars to taxpayers (as a rebate, not as pork projects). She will be a great representative of conservative principles and values!

Shelley is a successful businesswoman and is running a tremendous campaign (using a significant number of her own dollars).

She has the support of the Vice President, President, and Secretary of Commerce, who have joined her at local events over the past several weeks. This race is close and we can put her over the top! Vote twice! Her opponent is too chicken to face her in the “fair fight” special election!

Wasn’t Shelley the widow of Sylvan Rodriguez? And wasn’t she the one that had her kids like sue her?

  14. Laurence Simon on November 3rd, 2006 at 2:40 pm

    texaskaz-

It is my theory that watching Sylvan die slowly of cancer drove her nuts to the point of embarking on her crusade against smoking.

Of course, it is also my theory that there are antielephants, and you should never let an elephant and an antielephant smash into each other.
