So carrying a gun does not imply a loss of a sense of humor. Good one!

  2. tombranch on November 1st, 2006 at 12:07 pm

Poor John. He can’t help it, he was born with a silver foot in his mouth!

  3. Astrosmith on November 1st, 2006 at 12:07 pm

So funny, we had to post it twice!

  4. Levander Williams on November 1st, 2006 at 12:08 pm

That is freaking hysterical. I wonder if the Senator recognizes that the soldier’s kinship that he probably thinks he still has with our servicemen & women has long since dissipated.

  5. southerntragedy on November 1st, 2006 at 12:10 pm

Almost choked on my lunch! heh heh

Posted by tck on duplicate post:

Hat’s off to our men and women in uniform. Leave it to them to come up with an intelligent response fast, quick, and in a hurry.

    Bravo and Brava!

For something to dissipate, it has to have had substance at some time. To be absolutely correct, you should have said something like, “I wonder if Kerry has finally faced reality and now knows that everyone thinks he is a royal jacka$$ and should just shut up and tend to his wife.”

  8. Wino on November 1st, 2006 at 12:25 pm

Well done, soldiers. Let the a$$es know that we’re on to them.

I think that this is the best kind of response to jerks like John Kerry. Let them know that you hold them in contempt, because that’s what those such as he deserve.

  9. stwilhelm on November 1st, 2006 at 12:25 pm

So glad that these brave men and women are able to laugh at this idiot!

  10. trl3 on November 1st, 2006 at 12:35 pm

Thank God this turkey is not President.

While I have never done it, Kerry is the kind of guy that could induce me to pull a straight Republican lever.

  11. Robert on November 1st, 2006 at 12:41 pm

Maybe John Kerry needs to go to Iraq and fake some wound with Heinz ketchup so that he can get some sympathy and a medal. Let’s see if this picture makes any alphabet news reporting channel tonight. I tell you what, I have prepared a list of “Top Ten” persons or groups that Kerry can blame for this screw-up:

    1) President Bush

    2) The White House and Karl Rove

    3) Republican tricksters

    4) Rush Limbaugh

    5) Right Wing Conspirators

    6) The Hillary people

    7) The Swift Boat people

    8) The general public for not understanding his humor.

    9) His translation of that joke from French to English.

    10) His press secretary for not spinning his answer correctly.

I pretty sure there are others he could blame besides himself (which would never happen).

God bless our military service men and women. They are the best, the brightest and the bravest. They are also humble servants. When my son came back from Afghanistan, he didn’t like all the praise and thanks I was giving him. He said he wasn’t worthy, he and the others were just doing what they had to do. I think otherwise, because I dwell a lot on what our founding fathers had to go through to get this country started up. Our service people are truly remarkable human beings.

  13. navymom on November 1st, 2006 at 1:02 pm

Sad thing is, John Kerry aka the MORON (in my home, anyway) will not get it. He still thinks his comments were just a “botched joke”. No body is laughing!

Wonder if this picture will make the mainstream media?? DOUBT IT!

  14. mizsak on November 1st, 2006 at 1:13 pm

    Priceless.

I just heard on Rush as I was driving around that the Kerry camp released a written statement blasting Rush & company (Republican, right wing, blah, blah, blah) for criticizing him. Problem was, it was released BEFORE Rush started his program and had not even had the chance to comment on the whole sorry affair.

  15. fasternu426 on November 1st, 2006 at 1:17 pm

Sorry, elitist baya-stid (Kerry that is)! If he doesn’t want his words scrutinized then he should SHUT UP!!! IMHO

    TROOPS:
    BRAVO ZULU!!!

  16. trl3 on November 1st, 2006 at 1:20 pm

I think that John Kerry is using the botched joke line as cover. Kerry has been trashing our Service personel for 35 years.

  17. fasternu426 on November 1st, 2006 at 1:28 pm

Bothched joke, eh? What else does he think is funny? Stomping puppies? Tipping someone out of a wheelchair? The Holocaust?

  18. Sonia E. Alaniz on November 1st, 2006 at 1:28 pm

What a riot. Kerry should throw in the towel, he is done.

  19. txvoter on November 1st, 2006 at 2:21 pm

Every time I hear Kerry shoot himself in the foot, and mouth, over and over and over again just makes me even more adament that we can not let Kerry and Pelosi and Reid and Rangel, etc, ect, etc be in positions of leadership in the Uniteed States.

    Vote REPUBLICAN next Tuesday.

God bless our brave men and women serving in our armed forces!

  20. TexVex on November 1st, 2006 at 2:22 pm

I can’t of a better response from the military.

I’ll bet Hillary is just salavating over Kerry’s latest poor PR move.

  21. malcolm on November 1st, 2006 at 2:27 pm

Sonia #18 Could also say: “He is Toast!” No matter how he and his minions try to spin this, we ALL know what he said and meant. It’s amusing to hear the talking heads try to expalin their way out of this. I believe I’ve heard at least four or five explanations as to what people on the left thought that he meant. None of which are intellectually honest with themselves or to others.
Kerry left himself in the toaster too long and there’s nothing left except burnt ashes. A thick layer of Heinz Ketchup wouldn’t savage him!
I loved the photo with the soldiers! They’re pretty smart if you ask me!

Can you say narcissist. kerry is a narcissist.

Narcissism: A personality disorder with a pattern of deviant or abnormal behavior that the person doesn’t change even though it causes emotional upsets and trouble with other people at work and in personal relationships. It is not limited to episodes of mental illness, and it is not caused by drug or alcohol use, head injury, or illness. There are about a dozen different behavior patterns classified as personality disorders by DSM-IV. All the personality disorders show up as deviations from normal in one or more of the following:
    (1) cognition — i.e., perception, thinking, and interpretation of oneself, other people, and events;
    (2) affectivity — i.e., emotional responses (range, intensity, lability, appropriateness);
    (3) interpersonal functions;
    (4) impulsivity.

    Narcissistic Personality Disorder
While grandiosity is the diagnostic hallmark of pathological narcissism, there is research evidence that pathological narcissism occurs in two forms, (a) a grandiose state of mind in young adults that can be corrected by life experiences, and (b) the stable disorder described in DSM-IV, which is defined less by grandiosity than by severely disturbed interpersonal relations.

In other words the man is mentally ill - he’s sick!
but he is responsible for his own actions and words!

Lurch acting a fool yet again. What a disgrace this ingrate is.

  24. dclark on November 1st, 2006 at 2:56 pm

Our son is on his second tour of duty in Iraq. He and his buddies are out of Fort Hood. They were all up for re- enlistment and all but one re-upped to be able to go back. They beleive in what they are doing!! This is a choice- there isn’t a draft-and these fine young men and women deserve praise for the job they are doing. We pray every single day for the safe return of our son-he’s been wounded once and chose to stay-Mr.Kerry needs to take a lesson from him.Mr.Kerry you are an absolute oaf. God Bless Our Troops!!!

#22 dead right - I want to have this on signs outside polling places

Do we have a special reward for an honest politician - even if he denies it later - strictly a Freudian slip

  26. trl3 on November 1st, 2006 at 3:23 pm

    KERRY SHOULD RESIGN.

  27. JohnRH on November 1st, 2006 at 3:46 pm

Classic - but do we know it’s a legit photo and not a photoshop job from the vast right-wing conspiracy?

  28. tedtam on November 1st, 2006 at 4:10 pm

    #22

Your diagnosis is dead wrong. What he has is foot-in-mouth disease.
