We are not going to lose control of the Senate. I hope I am right, and I think I am and Dubya is going to appoint another Justice.

Vote early and vote often. Take your neighbor to the polls.

May God bless Stevens and his family. And may God bless America. We could all use it right about now.

if we do lose the senate we have no one to blame but ourselves. the folks we elected spent like drunk soldiers. what do ya expect when they do not uphold nor answer any questions on platform matters such as this?

    you might deserve to lose.

    got to vent more.

here it is nov. 2006 over 5 years from sept 11 2001. have we secured our boarders yet? are the lawmakers both dims and repubs enforcing the laws on the books for this?

i think we need an accounting of which laws we want to enforce and which ones we do not.

and if we do not want to enforce them for everyone lying under oath clinton then they should say who is exempt.

Losing the Senate is not an option but the house is okay. As they hopefully will bring charges against bush and hopefully impeach the liar which will lead to his loosing his ranch to pay for his legal fees. I am tired of him and perry not stopping the illegals at the border. Our taxes rise 8 to 10% per year while wages go up 2 to 3% per year. People are loosing their homes due to the rising taxes and the school districts appetite for money is insatiable. It is time to ship the illegals across the border and decrease school spending.

well said - they follow the money - not the voter.

The Democrats have always known that if you cannot legislate thru Congress, then you do it thru the courts. Liberal judges have a tendancy to legislate rather than interpret the laws pass by Congress—–great “checks and balance”!!!!

And they haven’t been fighting the nominations already? Even when republicans are in the majority they still can’t agree on what to do.

Agreed. And from this Monday p.m. vantage point, things are looking a little more optimistic for the strict constructionists as regards tomorrow’s voting!
