I will not be suprised, when the morning comes, the exit polls are again found to be wrong

Time to look at the polling firms

  2. jimb on November 7th, 2006 at 10:24 pm

Well, if Gibbs loses (I couldn’t vote for her living up in Cypress), it is still impressive to have a write-in garner 44% or so of the vote. Nick Lampson won’t last long in that district…

  3. FourAlarm on November 7th, 2006 at 10:27 pm

And the country loses as the house falls into Democrat hands. Renew your flood insurance because this new group of clowns ain’t doin’ nothin’ to stop the flood cross the border. The House Republicans never had a good grasp on this “power in charge” thing so they well deserve to eat the crumbs that fall from the table.

  4. jimb on November 7th, 2006 at 10:37 pm

If the Dems retake the Whitehouse in ‘08 and retain the House, you “rich people” can kiss your federal tax cuts goodbye…

  5. TXAggie87 on November 7th, 2006 at 10:41 pm

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid RINO’s! Actually, Stupid AND Arrogant! Especially on the national level. Did they not think that people would react to their spend-thrift money management, politics as usual - even more than usualy, let’s act like liverals monkey business? DeLay and his antics start the snow ball down the hill. Then the latest round of mistresses, drugs, sex (gay or otherwise) rocked and rolled to a Demoncratic House! When they had a chance to actually do some good - they fiddled while Rome burns! I only pray that I don’t wake up in the morning to Demon Senate!

  6. jimb on November 7th, 2006 at 10:45 pm

Looks like Dan Patrick is putting the Kibosh on Kubosh…

  7. jimb on November 7th, 2006 at 10:47 pm

And the NHMCCD bond issue is losing…

  8. ThunderHawkk on November 7th, 2006 at 10:51 pm

Great, now the Communists are taking power. Just great. I just can’t believe half of America would vote in virtual Communists… For what? More welfare? More handouts? More civil rights for terrorists??

Makes me SICK! Put up a wall on our southern border, AND our NORTHERN border! Keep the liberal/communists out of Texas!

Enjoy your ONE TERM LAMPSON… You’ll never win again!

  9. Young Curmudgeon on November 7th, 2006 at 10:54 pm

#5: Agreed, but you left out the GOP’s ineffectiveness with the border. They didn’t seem to grasp the citizenry’s (as opposed to illegal aliens’) anger about this. I know that Bush finally signed a bill authorizing a fence (but not actually paying for it, I believe…someone correct me if I’m mistaken), but it was too little too late. The GOP, at least on a national level, has demonstrated its ineptitude in governing in a conservative manner. What’s really scary is that the Dems have historically been more effective in railroading their liberal agenda through! Mr. President: PLEASE, use your veto pen for crying out loud!!

Lots of good lines in “Ferris Buellers Day Off” but this sure fits.

    “I weep for the future.”

  11. fasternu426 on November 7th, 2006 at 11:02 pm

And so goes the republic….. Nancy Pelosi as Speaker…….. Learn to face Mecca, get on your knees and pray to allah in spanish….

    http://www.islamicgoodsdirect.co.uk/index.php/cPath/155

All Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines, there’s a knife coming for your back…….

  12. willsin on November 7th, 2006 at 11:03 pm

    Many problems here:

    1. On the national level, RINOs now think the message is be more liberal like the Democrats. Does not well bode well for the future of a conservative GOP.

    2. The house has fallen to the globalists. W with Pelosi and the libs means we better start learning Spanish fast and be prepared to hand over more money for bi-lingual education, free healthcare, and social welfare benefits programs.

    3. State and local, where’d all our money go? Cause with the RINOs, bonds, and props, the Conservatives have lost at every level. Dan Patrick is only one man and, by himself, cannot overcome the damage that has been done tonight.

I’m going to pray hard and get to sleep.

  13. fasternu426 on November 7th, 2006 at 11:11 pm

I’ve met Nancy Pelosi briefly. She is pure freakin’ EVIL! My neighbor had a run in with her when he lived in San Fran. She was a city council person or something… he agrees.

They will defund the war and want to pull out. Like they (Dhimmicrats) did in Vietnam. Embolding the terrorists. The war will expand and may end up on our very shores…. again. Oh, and Iran will have a nuke with no impediment. Hizbollah and Hamas now have their party in power in the House. Look out Israel….

  14. fasternu426 on November 7th, 2006 at 11:20 pm

I think I’ll read about end times prophesy until I fall asleep… g’nite

  15. TXAggie87 on November 7th, 2006 at 11:28 pm

#9 - YC: Actually, by that point I was so mad that I just considered the Illegal Flood/Nonexistant Border issue part of the politics as usual attitude. But you’re right. And when they had a chance to take action, they sat and talked and wrung their hands. Damned sure not gonna happen with Nancy as Speaker. God, that’s scary to contemplate. Well, I doubt it’s gonna happen. But maybe . . . maybe . . . if I go to sleep now, when I wake up in the morning this will all have been a really bad dream. Or should I say nightmare?

  16. Neocon on November 7th, 2006 at 11:48 pm

    TxAggie87

Yes, it is a nightmare and no, it won’t go away.

  17. GopBob on November 8th, 2006 at 12:02 am

Pretty impressive for Kinky…and for Garcia.

  18. ThunderHawkk on November 8th, 2006 at 12:24 am

Of course the GOP blew the immigration issue, but does anyone think the socialists are going to do any better? The more welfare they can give to aliens, the happier they are.

Say good bye to your money.

    Learn Spanish.

  19. Mike Smith on November 8th, 2006 at 2:13 am

For the first time in our history, we will have a number of socialists in charge of our House. See who they are:
    http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=6497

Note what committee chairmanships they control.

    Buy more ammo.

  20. press 1 for english on November 8th, 2006 at 2:29 am

I did not hold my nose and vote for Perry like so many others, Kinky had my vote. And I am not afraid to say so! But the sheeple have spoken, and Perry is DA MAN! I expect the Trans Texas Corridor to go full steam ahead now!
I expect higher, much higher taxes to pay for the illegals wims and desires.
yes the GOP had a chance but they blew it. The Dimms will make it even worse.
Lets kick it up a notch next and vote all Dimms across the board next election, so they have control of everything, then we shall see how low the USA can get!

  21. Mike Smith on November 8th, 2006 at 4:32 am

I voted for Kinky, too. And Baker. And Garcia. I’m zip for 3…

On an up note, I did vote straight republican, except for the above 3.

  22. Dave D on November 8th, 2006 at 8:10 am

I voted for Kinky, Judy Baker, Shelly Shelly Sekula Sekula Gibbs Gibbs, and Garcia. I also voted against ALL The Peoples Republic of Houston, Props! So there! But I can bit*h all I want to, because I did my part and I’m proud of it! I also voted for all the Republican Judges, even though Dan Patrick said that I was too stupid to do that.
I thought I was going to puke when “The Breck Girl” got up last night and said that he would be everyone’s Gub’ner! The voters just rubber stamped anything that he wants to do! I say raise the business tax to 50%, what the hell, those rich small businesses can afford it!! It’ll only cost Texas and few million jobs and the government needs the money more than we do!

  23. kman0602 on November 8th, 2006 at 8:49 am

What happened to Fred Blanton, the Democrat?
Took enough votes from Lampe to elect Bates for 6 more years!
I guess he gets his health insurance paid by YOU for 6 more years, plus junkets on the credit cards!

    Message today—–SHUT UP AND PAY!!!!!!!!!!

Katy ISD Bond Issue — So what’s another $269,472,225?

To answer your question it will pay for about $125 million of maintenance to existing schools, $119 million for three new elementary schools and two new junior high schools and 24 million for portables, buses, land for future schools and bond issuance costs.

It will cost the owner of a home appraised at $165,000 about 12 cents a day in additional school property taxes.

The Mayde Creek pool is 22 years old, is losing about 12,000 gallons of water a day despite the best efforts of the maintenance department and only provides for three athletes to compete at a time unlike the pools at the other high schools which allow for four athletes. The new natatorium will also be available for members of the community to use during the summer. The opposition to the bond admitted that the pool needed to be rebuilt, claimed that it could be done for $3 million, but has yet to show any evidence of this to the public.

KISD has a responsible long-range debt management plan and reasonable school construction costs as shown at the bond committee meetings this summer.

This bond will help Katy ISD adequately prepare to accommodate an estimate 9000 additional students in the next three years.

You can go to http://www.katybondinfo.org for an itemized listing of the projects in this bond.
