    Pray for all the unborn babies. And their executors.

    It just goes to show you, the general public never reads the fine print. They rely on the liberal media to tell them its okay. They rely on some cute actor to tell you its okay. They bought a “bill of goods” and don’t know it.

    It’s like Mayor White’s propositions, they were told by the Mayor how great they are. The Crummyicle endorsed them (that should have told you something). Those who voted against Prop. 2 didn’t know the Mayor went behind their backs and basically reversed the will of the people. The Mayor fought Prop. 2 with taxpayer money. Money that Prop. 2 was suppose to stop the waste of.

    Oh, well, the cycle starts all over again. The citizens will realize it when they pay their tax bills and wonder why their taxes went up when the Mayor clearly said that their taxes wouldn’t be going up. Surprise!!!!!!!!!

    Lazy actor? Your charity exceeds my own Matt.

    From a Native Houstonian living in KCMO: there are two more items to add.

    **The companies doing research will have access to taxpayer dollars.

    **This is a “Constitutional Protected Law” now.

    I think the vote did not get out in rural areas. Explains the Talent loss also.

    The talk radio 710KCMO station fought tooth& nail against this. Come back Chris Baker, we need you!

    Oh great.

    More Missourians.

    Matt, how does “Shall the Missouri constitution be amended to… ban human cloning or attempted cloning…” equate to legalizing cloning human embryos? I’m not trying to be snarky or comabative, I’m just asking what you’re seeing here that I’m not.

    Researchers have gone too far thinking they are God. Humans just don’t have the depth or understanding, wisdom, nothing minutely close. Cloning is and will always be a failure because we are merely human and flawed. Our arrogance is overriding sanity.

    Now I want to clear a few things that this guy miss read before typing this total fib to the world. the whole here is what the Initiative said

    Official Summary Prepared by the Missouri Secretary of State
    “Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to allow and set limitations on stem cell research,
    therapies, and cures which will:
    • ensure Missouri patients have access to any therapies and cures, and allow Missouri
    researchers to conduct any research, permitted under federal law;
    • ban human cloning or attempted cloning;
    • require expert medical and public oversight and annual reports on the nature and purpose of
    stem cell research;
    • impose criminal and civil penalties for any violations; and
    • prohibit state or local governments from preventing or discouraging lawful stem cell
    research, therapies and cures?
    The proposed constitutional amendment would have an estimated annual fiscal impact on state
    and local governments of $0-$68,916.”
    [Note: This fiscal estimate is for potential costs to enforce the Initiative's ethical requirements. The Initiative does
    not ask for or require any state or taxpayer funding for stem cell research.]

    now that is the first bit of it. I have personally read the whole thing like a real reporter for hours and found that what “matt” wrote was a total lie. it actually has rules prohibiting cloning in all it’s forms
    as in the articals of the initive which I will point out now in artical 2.
    To ensure that Missouri patients have access to stem cell therapies and cures, that Missouri
    researchers can conduct stem cell research in the state, and that all such research is conducted safely and
    ethically, any stem cell research permitted under federal law may be conducted in Missouri, and any stem cell
    therapies and cures permitted under federal law may be provided to patients in Missouri, subject to the
    requirements of federal law and only the following additional limitations and requirements:
    (1) No person may clone or attempt to clone a human being.
    (2) No human blastocyst may be produced by fertilization solely for the purpose of stem cell
    research.
    (3) No stem cells may be taken from a human blastocyst more than fourteen days after cell division
    begins; provided, however, that time during which a blastocyst is frozen does not count against the
    fourteen-day limit.
    (4) No person may, for valuable consideration, purchase or sell human blastocysts or eggs for stem
    cell research or stem cell therapies and cures.
    (5) Human blastocysts and eggs obtained for stem cell research or stem cell therapies and cures must
    have been donated with voluntary and informed consent, documented in writing.
    (6) Human embryonic stem cell research may be conducted only by persons that, within 180 days of
    the effective date of this section or otherwise prior to commencement of such research, whichever is
    later, have
    (a) provided oversight responsibility and approval authority for such research to an embryonic
    stem cell research oversight committee whose membership includes representatives of the public
    and medical and scientific experts;
    (b) adopted ethical standards for such research that comply with the requirements of this section;
    and
    (c) obtained a determination from an Institutional Review Board that the research complies with
    all applicable federal statutes and regulations that the Institutional Review Board is responsible
    for administering.
    (7) All stem cell research and all stem cell therapies and cures must be conducted and provided in
    accordance with state and local laws of general applicability, including but not limited to laws
    concerning scientific and medical practices and patient safety and privacy, to the extent that any such
    laws do not (i) prevent, restrict, obstruct, or discourage any stem cell research or stem cell therapies and
    cures that are permitted by the provisions of this section other than this subdivision (7) to be conducted
    or provided, or (ii) create disincentives for any person to engage in or otherwise associate with such
    research or therapies and cures.
    yes this is what he did not real and would point out. these are rules that prevent cloning any way they could do it through stem cell research.

    Matt a bit of advice from a REAL REPORTER
    1. Do NOT put a link that disproves your artical in its intirity.
    2. Actually read you reasearch before you write a story
