Uuuuugh. A congress-critter FROM GEORGIA quoting the tyrant that hired the creator of Sherman’s Columns.

Is this guy a carpet-bagger or a scallawag?

    Sic Semper Tyrannis

If you are history minded, here is a link that you will enjoy:

How long did this thing go on? I bailed after 38 seconds. If this guy’s more than just another politico wind-baggo and has something worth while to relate, post back and I’ll give him another chance. His fixed staring at the script he’s reading creeps me out.

I have known Jack and his wife for over 14 years. They are great people. He has had to work a district in GA that is much like West Texas with many farmers and ranchers that had been historically democrat, but pro life, and pro business with farm and ranch subsidies a must.

This and still being a conservative Republican. He has been in the Insurance business owning an Agency and actually having a payroll and thus not a career politician.

He has good foundation, I do not know whether PAC’s and People funding them have degraded this once up and coming Republican.

Savannah is historically a Greater percentage African American community and the fact that he has well rounded support speaks well for him.

It is by his political and campaign skill that he has remained in office.

He would get my vote with a short leash… they (Republicans) should all be on a short leash..

This is the only pic I was able to find of an example of Sherman’s Columns. It seems that some people call them Sherman’s Sentinels.

Anyways, no self-respecting Georgian would be quoting Lincoln.

I was about to say “hear that Newt” but he is from Pennsylvania.

    dowjones25k,

All money does is pay for advertising. If who has the most advertising determines all elections, then democracy is a sham because the people are too stupid and too easily manipulated to choose our leaders.

Unfortunately, campaign finance reformers accept the failure of democracy as a basic premise, and feed on cynicism to demand that the government itself step in to manage political speech, which in their minds is the same as controlling the government itself.

So in conclusion — please don’t pretend that money determines all. I have a little more faith in our system of government than that.

Yes, Yes, we Republicans need a unified platform like the Contract with America! Thank you, Jack Kingston, for stepping up.
