Public Forum: Don’t help people sit on their rears
I have a question for not only Douglas County, but for the entire state of Oregon. Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay taxes, and government distributes my taxes as they see fit. In order for me to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random drug test, which I have no problem with.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who do not have to pass a urine test. Shouldn’t one have to pass a urine test in order to recieve a welfare check, because I have to pass one in order for me to go earn it for them?
Please understand that I have nothing against helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with people sitting on their butts. Can you imagine how much money we could save by having people taking a urine test in order to recieve a “public assistance check?”
Have a great day everyone! Off to earn my quarter for the day! Nice to have met FullovP&V and yellerdog! Hope we didn’t scare y’all too much! Emme: thanks again!
DJ: I’ll have pictures for you when my son gives me my camera back! He said he had a really great time, and Mr. Baker and his family were very nice people. See ya next Friday?
Have a great day everyone! Off to earn my quarter for the day! Nice to have met FullovP&V and yellerdog! Hope we didn’t scare y’all too much! Emme: thanks again!
I had such a blast last night. Yes I agree it was nice to meet Yellerdog and FullofP&V. I forgot how many buckets we had, that must be why I feel the way I do. LOL. Neocon and Nancy Drew 8 ball where are y’all? ST I hope you enjoy the sausage. I have my 10 other links in the freezer. We need to do this again. Oh, that is right, there is one on 1-12-07. Hope to see everyone there and I will try to make it with my son. Off to drink my next cup of coffee with starbucks liquor. Have a safe and wonderful day. Neocon has the photos, ST, we need to get the evidence from her. LOL.
The man blamed for parking the vehicle in Kufa, 60km south of Baghdad, was cornered and killed by a mob as he walked away from the explosion, police and witnesses said.
Holy hotcakes, Batman!!! I just found this website. Here’s his challenge:
If you disagree with my site and want me to remove it, instead of acting as bully or as victim, I invite you to disprove my charges against Muhammad and Islam. If you can show that what I say is unfounded I promise to remove this site not before confessing that I was wrong and Islam is a true religion. I will also pay
$50,000 U.S. dollars
to anyone who can disprove my charges and prove Islam is a true religion in an objective (not subjective) way. This is to thank you for showing me the right way. Hey, what is $50.000 dollars compared to being burned and tortured by a sadistic deity?
For those who didn’t go to yesterday’s posts: (lazy americans )

Ahh, a good ol’ Texas Pig Race!!
I called at about 3:45 and the gal said there were a lot of people there and they would have the races.
After avoiding rain, tornado watches, thunder, lightning, and I-10 traffic I arrived in time for the fireworks at 6:30. Got to meet the whole family, really nice folks. Lots of media there - Ch13, etc.
Crowd estimate from constable and others approx 250-300, in and out.
There was plenty of parking across the street and it was very well organized. Refreshments, porta-cans, and security were on site. Bleachers surrounded the racecourse, and round bales of hay sheilded the site from the roadway.
A good time was had by all! Next Friday will be another one.
——-
WHAT??!!??!! Somebody came to the MiniBHH and said they were me????? The photos are not to be released, they are evidence!!!
LOL! I accept bribes. Get in line behind EmmeKelley and Southerntragedy. I should be able to figure how to download these pics (new camera) in a few days, so start bidding!
This is to anyone out there that has a digital camera. If you have not discovered Picassa, try it. It’s so easy to use that even a dummy like me can download and work with pictures.
It comes from google. Just search for Picassa and download the software, no cost and the easiest I’ve found to use.
There ya go, ST, one of those conniving kristians… you have admitted your disobedience and now must be flogged!!! Either that, or we’ll throw you into the pig feed trough!!
If someone doesn’t remove the picture of my ex mother in law from the title page of this thread I’m gonna tell her/it where the pic is and it’s gonna create major problems (lawsuits) for the poster
Bidding begins: I’m 1 jam and 1 pickle ahead so far! I have 1st dibbs on ‘em!
Does 3 sausage links count to be able to view and share with you. I guess I need to bribe neocon with sausage to get 1st dibbs then. LOL. I will settle, to be able to view with you, over some more links on the pit one day for another mini brewhaha. Hey 8-ball (Nancy Drew) the next challenge is on, with you at the pool table at the next one. I cannot believe I scratched on the 8-ball. I beat myself but I had a blast.
Emme: yes, you can have a say to throw out every picture! How about having Neo over to my house for BBQ and HELP her download the Picassa web for her? heh heh heh! Pssst! I cheated for NancyDrew and she still lost….darn, the bad luck! And yeah, I’m bad./ducks head in shame
Vlou, did you look at the clouds today before dark? They were freaking awsome!
I’m gonna swig on some more Nyquil and going to bed. Advise? Never swig Nyquil and drink coffee…baaaad reaction..(my new drug of choice)
Yeah, I agree! It couldn’t be you. That fellow did not smile in ONE picture! Couldn’t have been you, who are so optimistic…., but wait, what am I saying…No such thing as an optimistic lib!
Like I said earlier, I CAN be bribed! How did I miss out on the sausage anyway? I was, like, there! Anyway, the pictures came out awesome! Even the group shot where Southerntragedy and FullofP&V were holding rabbit ears over yellowdawg! Too funny! (And he wasn’t smiling in that pix either!)!
FullofP&V
You need to share your “secret weapons” with all of us girls!
“Talk” to you guys tomorrow! Rest in peace, knowing our military is out looking over all of us, protecting us from enemies far and wide! God Bless them and God Bless all of you!
I have an important announcement to make! Let’s forget about politics and all the rest of the B/S that is going on in the world at the moment…and just enjoy New Year’s Eve and welcome 2007 in with hope and happiness! I am! I’m having a great New Year’s Eve…the party started at 11am this morning…anyone who wishes to join me is more than welcome! More the merrier! I hope to see the sun rise in the morning on a new day…and a new year! I most definitely will be awake way past midnight…even if I don’t make it to dawn…but, being a survivor…if you can’t find me…just wander around to my patio…you will find me there…candles still flickering, music still playing and the birds not yet making their first calls of the dawning day!
Happy 2007 everyone…enjoy, stay safe…and have a great one!
Neocon I have more sausage anytime you want to get together. Yellerdog doesn’t surprise me with the no smile. It gets a little sad when all you think about is yourself, instead of all the friends you could have not being a DEM.
Happy New Year to you! Here’s wishing you health, happiness and prosperity in the New year! Go easy on the champers — You had one too many for me the other night!
To be fair to Yellowdog, he had that guarded look about him all night. Sort of like Headshaker when I first met him. He didn’t know what to expect and probably thought we would all just gang up on him (figuratively speaking). Getting together and actually meeting someone and learning that he/she doesn’t really have horns after all is the purpose of these things, IMO.
Great morning to wake up to…the sun is shining and thank goodness it is not snowing here in Texas! I thank the Lord that I am able to sleep well each and every night after I say my prayers of gratefulness for all I have been blessed with especially excellent health for the last 61 years even if I drive an old, ugly 16 year old car.
You are right but my attitude towards life has always been no matter who the person is God created him not be alone but to at least have friends. I look to always enlarge my circle of friends. I am always looking forward to meeting new people no matter where they might stand on issues, even yellerdog, I don’t go into a situation with a guarded attitude (maybe watchful and alert) but not guarded and defensive. I know my God will watch over me so I am only looking to make friends. New friends might be the seed that has been planted for me to learn something and you never know where that lesson is coming from. It might be yellerdog to send it to me. It is a shame that some people are so guarded against meeting new people.
Have a great New Year everyone! If you are going out tonight, please be careful! I’m going next door for a get together. All I have to worry about is making it back over the fence! New Years resolution: Add a gate…and what was that other one? hmmmm…
I give Yellerdog credit for showing up! I think he was curious if we had fangs!
Vlou, the great things about driving an old, ugly 16 year old car: No car payment and you can leave the car running and not worry about it getting stolen! sweet!
My dad just gave up his 89′ truck for a new one and that thing had 500,000 miles on it and mine is a 10 yr old car, with 150,000 so I am almost right there with you. LOL. I do like the idea of NOT making a car payment.
Happy New Year to one and all who drop in on LST now and then or regularly. Wherever you might be tonight, be safe.
Our New Year’s Eves have been the same for quite a few years: late lunch/early dinner out, home before dark to get horses in and cats fed, a glass or two of wine before midnight, finding something interesting on the tube, and just enjoying each other’s company as we have for 41 years. Staying awake until midnight gets harder each year, but we manage. Look forward, not back.
Here’s a good story: I have two guy friends — one is ultra-conservative and the other is ultra-liberal. We get together quite often. My ultra-conservative friend cannot stand Nancy Peolsi. When Pelosi was named speaker, my ultra-lib friend had roses sent to my ultra-con friend with a card that said “thanks for all your support, Love, Nancy.” He also sent him an autographed picture of Pelosi! It was all in good fun! I’ve learned a lot this particular lib friend and he has learned a lot from me.
Adee it sounds like a wonderful quiet time. Mine is very quiet and I usually cannot stay awake for it. I need to broaden my scope and stay awake this year. I made new friends, yellerdog and FullofP&V, and looking forward to making new ones for 2007.
“Freed jihadis put Pakistan’s war on terror ‘back to square one’, say senior officers”
“Senior officers say they are “back to square one” in their fight against international terrorist groups after the release of dozens of militants by Pakistani courts.”
“It has more than twice as many people as Iran, six times more than Iraq, many primed for Islamic extremism by a legacy of poverty and illiteracy left by decades of misrule by corrupt secular leaders, civilian and military.”
“It already has nuclear weapons, and ballistic missiles made with North Korean help. It shelters jihadists battling Western forces across its border, and fanatical cells training Muslim youth in Western countries to put bombs on buses and metros.”
(In a Rodney King voice…) Can’t we all just get alooonng?
I have rarely met a person that I didn’t like. A lot of people will surprise you when you talk to them. I have rich friends, dirt poor friends, redneck friends, biker friends…etc, etc. People on drugs or thieves or are mean to animals…uhhh, no….
Mike S.: I’m gonna TRY and quit worrying about things that I cannot change. Our government is dropping the ball: being PC, trying to bribe other countries, borrowing money from Communist countries, lying to people to get into office, passing CAFTA, TTC, yada yada yada. The only comfort I have is that us country folk will survive. Remind me to show you my hands. They are very calloused, even for a man. Anyone willing to help share the chores, will be most welcome. I can raise and grow food, Emme and DaveD can hunt,(I’ll dress ‘em) Neo and Dave D. can cook, NancyDrew can do the dishes, and Sarge and “others” have plenty of Ammo. Notice the above statement was TRY. Americans have lost their backbone. When I hear people believing that we are still the superpower, I bust a gut. Thanks for cheering me up.
#65 - I think we need to do more than quit worrying, as so much is at stake. We have been sidetracted by our invasion of Iraq (and the subsequent debacle that has resulted) from the real war on terror.
As the story says…..
“Last month, Dame Eliza Manningham-Buller, the head of MI5, warned of the growing threat from within Pakistan. She said young British Muslims were being groomed to become suicide bombers and that most of the 1,600 suspects being tracked by her agents were British-born but linked to al-Qaeda in Pakistan.”
Nothing is more indicative than this about how little we have learned from Vietnam about hearts and minds.
“It has been many months since George W. Bush topped the polls, but the US President has outflanked both Osama bin Laden and former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to seize the dubious honour of the ultimate villain of 2006.”
Dang, got booted offa dial-up before I could post, but here’s the jiggy:
Mike S: I truly understand where you are coming from. Is is gonna take another 9-11 to wake up Americans? Americans these days do not know what it’s like to suffer. They have the attention of a fly. They are more concerned about what Paris Freaking Hilton is doing, rather than what our country is doing. They are self-absorbed, and selfish. Our government IMO, cannot be counted on. They lie to get elected. What can WE do? I keep up on things, but all in all, I can’t do a darn thing about it. Are we to depend on our elected officials? Bwaaa-haaa-ha-ha-ha…I don’t think so. Somebody please prove me wrong! As for the poll, there was also a poll that Prez. Bush was on the top of hero? list, and was at top of villain list…go figger….We are one messed up country.
Poll, schmoll. Who commissioned it? Who designed the questions? What were the choices? Who was polled? Were they coherent individuals? In what august publication/media outlet did it appear, and who was the reporter/writer? Without further info, it is BS, MS, and PhD (for the uninitiated, the latter means piled higher and deeper).
“”Yet I do not hate one single Muslim, I do not hate one single Indonesian,” he said. “That’s the only difference between you and me, my brother Osama bin Laden.”"
“”You will then win them over that way, more than through hatred and violence,” he said.”
The one thing that I do believe is when we went to Afghanistan to remove OBL they ran like rats to Iran,Syria and other places. The lust for power that Saddam had and the greed for money(Oil for food) he would have sold anything to the terrorist, IMO then they would of spread to all parts of the world to further their agenda. Remember all they want to do is convert us or cut our heads off. We slowed the spread by taking out Saddam and at the same time freed millions in Iraq. GWB is no villain.
Just up the road from my home is a field,
With two horses in it.
From a distance, each looks like every other horse.
But if you stop your car, or are walking by,
You will notice something quite amazing.
Looking into the eyes of one horse will
Disclose that he is blind.
His owner has chosen not to have him put down,
But has made a good home for him.
This alone is amazing.
If nearby and listening,
You will hear the sound of a bell.
Looking around for the source of the sound,
You will see that it comes from the
Smaller horse in the field.
Attached to her halter is a small bell.
It lets her blind friend know where she is,
So he can follow her
As you stand and watch these two friends,
You’ll see how she is always checking on him,
And that he will listen for her bell and then
Slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she
Will not lead him astray. When she returns to the
Shelter of the barn each evening, she stops
Occasionally and looks back, making sure her
Friend isn’t too far behind to hear the bell.
Like the owners of these two horses,
God does not throw us away just because
We are not perfect or because we have problems
Or challenges. He watches over us and even brings
Others into our lives to help us when we are in need.
Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by
The little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.
Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see.
Good friends are like this ……….
You don’t always see them,
But you know they are always there.
Please listen for my bell and I’ll listen for yours.
“Be kinder than necessary,
For everyone you meet is
Fighting some kind of battle”
That is wonderful Emme #74. As I am reading these posts, I keep thinking:
Nothing can happen without God’s permission. So, if He allows, it…it has to be for our good and His Glory. God cannot do wrong or evil. Only He can see the big picture. Therefore, we are all ok…even if we don’t think we are.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
I’m a first-time commenter, but have read LST in great amusement for several years. Really dislike the Chron. I only buy the Sunday paper, mainly to give the poor lady sellin’ ‘em some extra cash. Am I the only one to notice that most of the “news” articles in the first couple sections are reprints of stuff from other wire services? Maybe it’s not plagiarism, but is sure is another form of lazy journalism.
The Iraq Veterans Against the War’s favorite baby killer—Jesse MacBeth–has been arrested and is now in custody.
For those of you who don;t know the story, Jesse told a lurid story about supposed “war crimes” he and his fellow Rangers committed in Iraq, the IVAW put a microphone in his hand and paraded him around the country to speak at rallies. A video was made that is still popular on the web.
Problem is, he had been kicked out of the service during Basic Training for “failure to adapt to military service” which means he wasn’t even qulified for the rubber rifle squad.
dorcdad-how many papers dp you read? Thjis has always been the case, where papers will get a lot of their stories from the wire services, as it keeps them from having to dispatch reporters all over the world. That would be very expensive and impractical. The papers reporter are used largely for state, local, and the business sections. They usually do, however, have bureaus in Washington, New York and a few other cities.
Look at the post category. If it says “Fish”, fish is the relevant topic. Probably not too many replys on that one. “Open Comments” means anything is fair game. Within limits of course. You wanna grouse about Mom-in-law? Feel free…may not get any responses, but who knows? Hope this helps.
A construction worker dies on in a fishing accident on his 40th birthday and finds himself greeted at the Pearly Gates by a brass band. Saint Peter runs over, shakes his hand and says “Congratulations!”
“Congratulations for what?” asks the construction worker.
“Congratulations for what?” says Saint Peter. “We are celebrating the fact that you lived to be 160 years old.”
“But that’s not true,” says the construction worker. “I only lived to be forty.”
“That’s impossible,” says Saint Peter, “we added up your time sheets.
If the work is done without extra expense to the Contractor, then the work will be taken down and done over again until the extra expense to the Contractor is satisfactory to the Architect.
The contract drawings are intended to be correct. If drawn wrong it should be discovered by the Contractor, corrected, and done right at his own expense. It won’t cut any ice with the Owner or the Architect if the Contractor points out the mistakes which the Architect has drawn on the plans.
Any evidence of satisfaction on the part of the Contractor shall be considered as just cause for withholding final payment.
Any Contractor walking around the job site with a smile on his face will be subject to a review of his bid.
If the Contractor doesn’t find all the Architect’s mistakes prior to making his bid on this job, or if he doesn’t have enough sense to know that the Architect is going to think up a bunch of new stuff that has to be done before the job can be deemed complete, then the Contractor shall provide any such items without extra expense to the Owner or Architect.
2. Even better, it allows me to democstrate that the Anti-War Left is so willing to beleive tales of baby killing and war crimes by our soldiers that they put a guy like this on stage with a microphone in his hands and make a video of him without bothering to check his credentials. All he needed to do was tell them a story that fits their beleifs and he was ON, baby.
I never heard of him, much less believed him. This is a trick thst a lot of conservatives have learned from talk radio. Use the extreme to try and prove a point. If people like this are anti-war, then everyone who is anti-war is a bad person. Weak, weak, weak.
An Anti-War Organization that is supposed to be made up of veterans of the war in Iraq couldn’t recognize that this guy was a fake and they put him on a stage.
He’s not the first fake veteran the4 anti-war left has accepted as being a real one. We can go all the way back to the governing board of the VVAW if you want.
#89 DJ, that is not KIA. This is a different website that keeps track of terrorists and a lot of other stuff as well. Since you couldn’t be at the pig races, thought I’d bring it to you!
Neo, daaahling…I’m upping the ante on those photos. 1 jar jam, 1 jar pickles, couple of rib-eyes (or whatever your choice may be) a sausage link that Emme gave me(heh heh) and my not-so-secret weapon whom I’ll introduce you to: Mr. Freeze! Now gimme those photo’s! BTW, haven’t had a smoke since 1pm. Those smokes sure looked good! I’m done, but don’t think I’ll make it past the withdrawl stage. I wonder if I can smoke hay…
#74 Emme: your story was great. Thanks for sharing!
Pacifists can not accept war for any reason. It is a fundamental part of their belief system. We are treated to an endless array of conspiracy theories as they attempt to rationalize something they can not accept.
Socialists believe that all evil is the result of the failings of society, they also treat us to an endless array of evil government conspiracy theories.
Ms Sheehan’s descent into insanity is entirely predictable, being a pacifist, no justification for war could ever exist. Her son dieing in a war is outside of her belief system. If the “evil” George Bush didn’t exist, her mind would create him.
For a socialist, Jessie Macbeth’s life story is a litany of everything wrong in America, a family that failed him, an education system that failed him, a social safety net that failed him. They can’t accept that no one is smart enough to design a perfect system where no one ends up like Jessie MacBeth. If the “evil” men in Washington that allowed Jessie MacBeth to become the loser he was didn’t exist, they would have to create them. Exploiting Jessie MacBeth by turning him into a stone cold killer is just further evidence of the evil of those in power.
As a psychological construct, it is easier to attribute almost omnipotent, malevolent powers to those than accept the imperfection of humantity.
I will offer SD’s corollary to Voltair’s postulate.
If the devil doesn’t exist we would have to create him.
I have never said I was a pacifist. I just don’t believe the war in Iraq was justified. Sadam never was a threat to us. The troops in Iraq shoudl have been used to hunt OBL, who is a threat. The war in Iraq was a war of choice, according to George Will, among others. It was a bad choice, and also a war we didn’t properly prepare for. If you are as big an expert on military history as you clasim to be, you should know this war was not properly planned.
Well, Doggie; you just explain it to me, why dontcha?
While your at it—explain how the intelligence agencies of 4 nations beielved that Saddam had WMD.
I’m not really going to argue with you. Your mind is made up, and no amount of truth will ever convince you.
And let me ask you a a couple questions:
Would it be a moral act to leave Iraq in the hands of people who will murder men women and children there by the hundreds of thousands once we’re gone?
Do you even care, or are you going to be as blind to that killing as the anti-war left was to the millions that died in Viet Nam and Cambodia after we left and let the Communists ake over there?
An elderly couple were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and they decided to go to the small town where they first met. Inside the cafe they use to go, the man said to the woman, “Remember the field where we first made love? I propped you up against the fence.” She nodded her head yes. “Why don’t we go there and do it again for old times sake?” Giggling she agreed. What they did not notice was a policeman that was in the next booth and who had heard the entire conversation. He figured the couple meant no harm, and decided to follow them so that no one would disturb them. The couple got to the field, took off their clothes, and the man placed the woman against the fence. From the bushes the policeman watched as they gyrated all over the fence. He watched as they did things that he never thought of doing. After a few minutes they stopped, fell to the ground and slowly got up and dressed themselves. As they approached the bushes, the policeman stepped out and said, “I just followed you to make sure that no one bothered you. That was the most wonderful lovemaking that I’ve ever seen. You must have been a wild couple when you were young.” “No, not really,” replied the old man. “When we were young, that fence wasn’t electric.”
We have no obvious solution to the killings in Iraq, so why continue to put our soldiers at risk do to the incompetency of this administration. Do you not realize that all these people you fear in Iraq are there largely because they rushed in to fill the vacumn left when we deposed Hussein? He lept the insurgewncies largely in check. We knoew how to win the war, but we had no plan to win the peace. Everyone forsaw this except Bush and the Neo-cons. Why do you think daddy Bush didn’t go into Bagdad? He knew this would happen. I guess the son thought he was smarter.
Why do you think daddy Bush didn’t go into Bagdad?
The reason is because of the UN. They didn’t authorize it and Bush 41 had the coalition there only for the removal from Kuwait.

Like a typical Liberal, you avoided a question of morality, because your view is poltical. You then “cut and run” so as not tohave to answer the question.
Just taking a break from working on a NY Eve mystery quilt. It’s been a welcome break from politics, but I wanted to take a moment to wish all of you a safe, and prosperous 2007. Perhaps in 2007, I’ll be able to find a balance between recreational activities, such as quilting, and fighting the indigestion that staying in touch with “the world” causes. At any rate, may each of you be blessed.
Midnight comes closer, and some neighbors have been setting off fireworks off and on since about 7:30. Guess they are celebrating the new year in several eastern time zones? Our horses are ok in the barn, but the cats are cowering in the house. The adult humans are part way through the first glass of wine and are, at this moment, wide awake, fully intending to remain so until 12.

Emme: thanks again!
There was a wicked putz
In the neighborhood
His name was Sad-dam
And he’s really swingin’ good
Just a swingin’…
How did the pig races go last night?
Any pictures?
Hey luv2hammer, not that I need to work harder or smarter but rather it’s because they had to beat me to be #1.
DJ: I’ll have pictures for you when my son gives me my camera back! He said he had a really great time, and Mr. Baker and his family were very nice people. See ya next Friday?
LOL.
Good mornin’ all! Emme, ST, Yellowdog, Nancy Drew (8-ball now), FullofP&V and I all had a great time last night. Yellowdog even combed over his horns!

Terriorist Killed after Saddam Hanging
As it should be.
Here is Iraq The Model’s take on Saddam’s hanging and a thank you to us.
http://iraqthemodel.blogspot.com/

December 29th, 2006 at 8:52 pm
/ snicker… now they’re REALLY wondering…
FullofP&V
LOL! I accept bribes. Get in line behind EmmeKelley and Southerntragedy. I should be able to figure how to download these pics (new camera) in a few days, so start bidding!
FullofP&V
Besides, you thought Neocon was a guy! Ewwww!
TTFN! What? It’s Saturday night for goshsakes!
eeerr, I was in church last night. Those photo’s are part of a photoshop fraud!
As for you, Ms. FullofP&V, uhhhh, you’re little too, and we all know about little people…/snicker! snort! oooops!
Bidding begins: I’m 1 jam and 1 pickle ahead so far! I have 1st dibbs on ‘em!
Oh yeah, here’s some early photo’s of the pig races! DJ, consider this my birfday gift to you!
http://katyislamicassociation.net
This is to anyone out there that has a digital camera. If you have not discovered Picassa, try it. It’s so easy to use that even a dummy like me can download and work with pictures.
It comes from google. Just search for Picassa and download the software, no cost and the easiest I’ve found to use.
There ya go, ST, one of those conniving kristians… you have admitted your disobedience and now must be flogged!!! Either that, or we’ll throw you into the pig feed trough!!
I don’t have to bet — I have secret weapons…
Oh by the way, the Kron did have a photo and article on the pig races and Channel 13 had a video on their site.
Anyone care to join us in the Conference Room?
http://client4.addonchat.com/sc.php?id=167611
Just sign in and there you are!
I even heard there was someone there pretending to be me.
If someone doesn’t remove the picture of my ex mother in law from the title page of this thread I’m gonna tell her/it where the pic is and it’s gonna create major problems (lawsuits) for the poster
LOL
ST
Does 3 sausage links count to be able to view and share with you. I guess I need to bribe neocon with sausage to get 1st dibbs then. LOL. I will settle, to be able to view with you, over some more links on the pit one day for another mini brewhaha. Hey 8-ball (Nancy Drew) the next challenge is on, with you at the pool table at the next one. I cannot believe I scratched on the 8-ball. I beat myself but I had a blast.
Yellowdogdem…
Why would anyone pretend to be anything but themself?
Emme: yes, you can have a say to throw out every picture! How about having Neo over to my house for BBQ and HELP her download the Picassa web for her? heh heh heh! Pssst! I cheated for NancyDrew and she still lost….darn, the bad luck! And yeah, I’m bad./ducks head in shame
Vlou, did you look at the clouds today before dark? They were freaking awsome!
I’m gonna swig on some more Nyquil and going to bed. Advise? Never swig Nyquil and drink coffee…baaaad reaction..(my new drug of choice)
ST

Yeah, I agree! It couldn’t be you. That fellow did not smile in ONE picture! Couldn’t have been you, who are so optimistic…., but wait, what am I saying…No such thing as an optimistic lib!
Emmekelley
#40, Same good wishes to you for 2007, Sunny, and to all our Australian friends.
Thanks, Adee…It’s now 12.17am…1st January, 2007! And I’ve made it to another year!
Happy 2007 Sunny and all. I have beer and a couple of nice cigars in store for me tonight.
Happy 2007 New Year Sunny and all. I have my coffee to start today.
Neocon I have more sausage anytime you want to get together. Yellerdog doesn’t surprise me with the no smile. It gets a little sad when all you think about is yourself, instead of all the friends you could have not being a DEM.
Sunny down under:
Happy New Year to you! Here’s wishing you health, happiness and prosperity in the New year! Go easy on the champers — You had one too many for me the other night!
Happy New Year Sunny and to all of you LST’ers!
It is our wish that 2007 is the best year yet of your life!

Neocon
Vlou, the great things about driving an old, ugly 16 year old car: No car payment and you can leave the car running and not worry about it getting stolen! sweet!
#45-I just had never met Republicans in person before. All my friends are libs.

My dad just gave up his 89′ truck for a new one and that thing had 500,000 miles on it and mine is a 10 yr old car, with 150,000 so I am almost right there with you. LOL. I do like the idea of NOT making a car payment.

I know your comment was meant in jest, but it is just so sad.
Why is that sad? I will go to more LST functions and broaden my horizons.
It is sad because you let your politics determine who your friends are. Kind of short sighted, IMO.
I’m going to make some Republican friends. I had a good time the other night.
Yelowdogdem
New year, new problems.
“Freed jihadis put Pakistan’s war on terror ‘back to square one’, say senior officers”
“Senior officers say they are “back to square one” in their fight against international terrorist groups after the release of dozens of militants by Pakistani courts.”
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/12/31/wterror31.xml
Something to think about.
“Pakistan could become next US nightmare”

Bush topped the polls, but the US President has outflanked both Osama bin Laden and former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to seize the dubious honour of the ultimate villain of 2006.”
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,20867,20989414-2703,00.html
Here is an excellent model for the new year…
“”Yet I do not hate one single Muslim, I do not hate one single Indonesian,” he said. “That’s the only difference between you and me, my brother Osama bin Laden.”"
“”You will then win them over that way, more than through hatred and violence,” he said.”

Mike S
Reminds me of a belief I have “You get more with honey then vinegar”
If , like me, you don’t think we should have invaded Iraq, then you can call Bush a villain.
Just a small something for the New Year.
Two Horses

Nappppppppy New YEARS all yall!!!

Tito, Good vodka you make!
We should all drink Tito’s vodka and support a Texas company
Gosh, all those sentiments maketh a strong, feisty, wild, untamed, radical, loony, full-of-prosperity- and-victory-ish person cryeth.
Best to all in the New Year! Hide from falling bullets! Drink homemade champaigne! Yee-haw!!!!
Some good news on New Years Day.
http://www.sweetness-light.com/archive/pretend-us-ranger-jesse-macbeth-is-in-custody
What has this peacnik been arrested for?
Assault.
84…Rah Rah!
dorcdad, welcome and Happy new year.
Happy New Year!
I hope everyone here stays safe etc.
Neocon…your the best. Thank you for the birthday wishes and yes I am a very young grandfather now with very long hair.
Southerntragedy
I am confused about the pictures.
Why are they on the islamic site?
I hope to see ya’ll there next week.
See ya next year.
Sarge-what is your post relevant to?
dorcdad-how many papers dp you read? Thjis has always been the case, where papers will get a lot of their stories from the wire services, as it keeps them from having to dispatch reporters all over the world. That would be very expensive and impractical. The papers reporter are used largely for state, local, and the business sections. They usually do, however, have bureaus in Washington, New York and a few other cities.
Yellowdogdem,
I’ll explain relevency.
Happy New Year!
Yellowdogdem,
Open comments is not for serious stuff only. Hey, If you hear a funny joke please post. We all enjoy them.
Rules of Contracting
See all of you next year! LST has been fun and very informative at times. Have a safe and blessed ‘07′ from the Malcolm clan.
#90″:
It is relevant to:
1. Good News at New Years. A scumbag is in jail.
Yeloow dog;
You are prototypical.
An Anti-War Organization that is supposed to be made up of veterans of the war in Iraq couldn’t recognize that this guy was a fake and they put him on a stage.
I’d say that speaks VOLUMES about them.
BTW;
He’s not the first fake veteran the4 anti-war left has accepted as being a real one. We can go all the way back to the governing board of the VVAW if you want.
I don’t know why I brought it up anyway. you already have your mind made up about anti-war protestors.
A Soldiers Dad over at MilBlogs explains it nicely:
http://www.mudvillegazette.com/milblogs/2006/12/31/#007434
LAST!
This one is old but it sure is funny.
Everyone have a safe and happy New year. Taking Mrs. Yellowdog out to dinner.
The reason is because of the UN. They didn’t authorize it and Bush 41 had the coalition there only for the removal from Kuwait.
Yellow dog;
Neocon sent the Brewhaha photos and hopefully the linky will work. I have never done a album of photos.

Emme,
Those photos are only to be shared with the PARTICIPANTS, not the whole world!!! I request that they NOT be posted on the web. Thank you.
So that is what you look like.
Fireworks for ya!
