It’s a shame isn’t it, the first female speaker of the House and she has no class! Oh well, what can you expect from a DumbocRAT.

  3. Zippy_Slug on January 4th, 2007 at 3:12 pm

All hail the powerful ms. speaker! We must walk in lock step down the Capitol streets with missles and tanks now! Perhaps there is a proper salute for this all powerful Ms Speaker? Pelosi Youth! Get Michael Moore to do a “documentary” on the Christians for the ministry of truth! Let the re-education camps open! This is a great day for America! Nobody can save you now! bwahaha

  4. ThunderHawkk on January 4th, 2007 at 3:21 pm

Pelosi is the epitome of the leftist, communist tyrant. Just look at the madness in her eyes!

She is to be feared. She is like Mao, or Stalin, and all you lurking Demonrats on here know it! Look what you’ve unleashed!

    Buy GUNS! Lots of them!

  5. navymom on January 4th, 2007 at 3:27 pm

As a woman, she scared me! She is gonna make the female gender look really really bad.

Her ranting and raving made me think of that Dean fella and his rant n rave that cost him his nomination.

  6. Squawkbox Noise on January 4th, 2007 at 3:28 pm

But but but…..I thought Hillary was the most powerful woman in America.

    I’m so confused.

Oh wait she is the smartest woman in America.
    Now I fell better.

  7. EricPJohnson on January 4th, 2007 at 3:51 pm

    Squawk

Will the Hill keep taking orders from Grandma (remember she was annointed to her position as was Hillary)

Will Hillary finally take on Barack

Will Barack admit to infidelity now that he’s admitted to frequent and recent drug use (he won largely in part by having a fake sex scandal forcing his opponent to resign)

Will Dean get the axe (not the perfume)

Will Matt get over his affection for Notre Dame Football

Will you finally understand that 6 and 10 is as good as it gets for the Texans

    2007 oh the possibilities

  8. normal_fault on January 4th, 2007 at 4:39 pm

Mine mine MINE! WhooooHAaaaaHAAAAAHaaaaa! ALL MINE!

Reminds me of that scene in the 1931 Frankenstein movie when Dr. Frankenstien (Colin Clive) exclaims-’He’s ALIVE, He’s ALIVE!’.

    Question: Who is Pelosi’s Igor?

  9. DanielJames on January 4th, 2007 at 4:43 pm

Just another sad and frightening chapter in American politics.

Maybe she will be the tree branch that breaks our backs.

Lets hope so. We need another slap in our Constitutional faces to get motivated.

  10. JRB on January 4th, 2007 at 4:47 pm

Suck it up, we’re gonna have to live with this stuff for the next few years, hopeful, only until the next elections.

Don’t count on it, bub. :)

  12. Ree-C Murphey on January 4th, 2007 at 5:28 pm

Oh Matt, speakin’ of Notre Dame:

    Notre Dame 14
    LSU 41

    That is not a typo…Woho! Go Fightn’Tigers!!

(Look in your email, I’ve sent you a present.)

  13. malcolm on January 4th, 2007 at 5:54 pm

What happened to her hands? Did she let the power overload her circulatory system and cause a blackout?

  14. Wino on January 4th, 2007 at 6:03 pm

Why isn’t this getting the play that Al Haig’s comment got when Reagan was shot?

Oh.. that’s right. She’s a democrat. Never mind. I forgot the double standard.

  16. Jean on January 4th, 2007 at 6:22 pm

She is scary, she had a gleem that bothered me in a few glimpes. I couldn’t watch long, just too nauseating. It really is an embarrassment for women, to think she sets herself up as a leader of women????? Don’t think so.
This should be the final slap in the rhinos face, when they realize they now have to bow down to not just a Dem but a deceitful women dem.
To have Dems take power is bad enough but why couldn’t it have atleast been a women with some real smarts. Jane Harmon is a tolerable person on most things, and smart as a whip, why couldn’t it have been some one who wouldn’t throw a
Cinderalla Ball in her own honor.
    Well now I’m depressed. . . .

  17. Willie on January 4th, 2007 at 6:28 pm

I know this will get me lambasted on this site, but how about waiting until Speaker Pelosi does something before criticizing her?
The attacks so far are based on the emotions of the attacker, not any facts (to date) as she’s done absolutely nothing so far and just assumed the Speakership this very day.
I thought emotional outbursts such as the ones previously posted were the mark of a liberal (or so Limbaugh states), not God-fearing, red-blooded conservatives.
I’m not in any way saying to give the new Speaker a pass (I surely will not), but let’s wait until she’s actually done something before whining about her.
    Just a thought.

  18. Squawkbox Noise on January 4th, 2007 at 6:34 pm

    Willie
    You are kidding right?

Oh sorry I forgot you have a habit of ignoring past history of liberals. Never mind.

Check out my ‘blog. The only things I’ve said about the new leadership is that they are “two for two” in talking about cutting the earmarks and cancelling the recent Congressional Pay Raise.

Unlike your side of the aisle, we conservatives give credit where credit is due.

Go to the December 2006 section and look them up, or I can post links here.

  20. Willie on January 4th, 2007 at 6:53 pm

    #18) Squawk:
What has she actually done as Speaker that you disagree with? Heck, she only took the office today.
Are you peering thru your crystalball?

  21. Willie on January 4th, 2007 at 6:57 pm

    Wino:
My only point was that we shouldn’t criticize anyone (R. or D.) until they’ve actually DONE something, not talked about it.
The last couple of years have proven how easy it is to talk it in Congress without actually walking it.
Let’s she if she walks it before offering criticism. If she doesn’t, I’ll be the first to offer criticism myself. How’s that?

  22. southerntragedy on January 4th, 2007 at 7:00 pm

I agree. Which is why I don’t like “emotional outbursts” like this:

“All right, let’s hear it for the power,” she screamed

    Glad you agree. ;)

Only two events away from having President Pelosi. Impeachment and heart attack perhaps? Ol’ Dead Eye Dick really isn’t looking too healthy these days. Loved the look on Hastert’s face during the Pelosi address this afternoon as well. Not quite as good as the blubbering Santorum brats, but still nice.
    Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow!!!!!!

  26. Wino on January 4th, 2007 at 8:10 pm

    #23 SBN and #24 Mattzilla

    First, MZ: Touche’!

Second, SBN: I don’t know. The Democrats’ main objective is gaining and retaining political power. First among the requisites for that is gaining and holding the majority in as many federal offices as possible.

So, they are back in power by talking a fiscally conservative game.

Let’s see if they walk the walk. Like I said, they promised a roll-back of the GOP record-setting earmarks… ALL of them. They also promised to forego the Congressional pay raise.

How bad does the GOP look if these two sops look good in comparison to what they did? I mean, as much as I hate minimum wage increases, I hate the billions that are directly taken from my taxes even more. At least the min wage increase effect is indirect.

If the Dems have learned anything, they’ll moderate fiscally, and probably consolidate their power.

    And THAT’s their main objective.

I heard her say “Parnership, not partisonship” over and over on the radio today.

Now, someone,’splain puleeze, why aren’t the Republicans being allowed to provide input on these bills coming up?

And how did the Republicans handle it when the Dems whimpered about being a tyranized minority? Did they not show “partnership”?

  31. Squawkbox Noise on January 4th, 2007 at 8:50 pm

    WINO

Once again let me repeat this

Past politcal performance is indicative of future political performance.

and let me add, she/they cannot help themselves. Liberals cannot be all they can be so to speak but neither can they ignore what they are for very long. There are dues to be paid to many of their (lack of a better word) constituents. There are high expectations from the whacko left groups and unlike conservatives those groups will hold San Fran Nans feet to the fire. What is funnier yet the MSM will help the groups. Just watch.

The libs think they have a mandate and that the American people sanctioned liberal socialism in the ‘06 vote and they will strike while they think the iron is hot ‘08 be damned.

  32. ThunderHawkk on January 4th, 2007 at 9:19 pm

Every political party loses seats in the midterm elections of a Presidents second term. The liberals, with the help of the MSM, are trying to fool the ignorant American masses that they have some kind of mandate to install Communism upon the populace.

Idiot Barney Frank wants “to do something about income inequalities…” My God, has he ever gotten his mind of d**k long enough to read a history book? He’ll destroy the nation!

  33. vlou on January 4th, 2007 at 9:22 pm

If Ms. Pelosi would quit behaving like a celebrity and get down to the business at hand, maybe she could get some respect. Enough hoopla just because she is the 1st female Speaker of the House. Let’s address the real problems.

  34. Liberal Democrat on January 4th, 2007 at 10:13 pm

I have hope that Ms. Pelosi will work to accomplish good things for our country.

Note to Willie….I, too, try to evaluate folks on their actions or lack of actions.

  36. Liberal Democrat on January 4th, 2007 at 10:39 pm

    reply to number 35

Past success or failure in a particular area, political or otherwise, of course, may at times provide an idication of possible future preformance. Fortunately, for our country, Ms. Pelosi was successful in obtaining the position of the Speaker of the House. I predict more successes for Ms. Pelosi.

  37. Squawkbox Noise on January 4th, 2007 at 10:51 pm

Fortunate or not depends on political perspective. I will, with respect, disagree.

    Steve481

I have never made a secret of the contempt I feel for the Great Prevaricator. He was a blight on the history of the United States, and a black mark against the wisdom of democrats.

No. I make no apologies for the utter contempt and disgust I feel about his very existence, much less his presidency. His reelection said much more about the taste and inclinations of the democrats than I ever could in mere words.

No. I make no apologies whatsoever, and only wish my command of the English language gave me the ability to express the true depth of feeling I have for your most beloved president.

  39. sunny on January 5th, 2007 at 12:53 am

  40. Matt 'Zilla' Bramanti, CPO™ on January 5th, 2007 at 1:51 am

Amen to that, Sunny. I think she buys the stuff by the barrel.

  41. TexasCrawdude on January 5th, 2007 at 7:17 am

Ultimately it’s all about “ME! ME! ME!” where politicians are concerned, today. Both sides are filled with self serving, selfish, and non-patriotic people.

It’s much deeper than that , but ultimately our government is filled with “lesser of two evils”.

Won’t be long before the ILLEGALS can run for office, and they damn sure don’t have any patriotism to the USA. As evident by disrespecting our flag during their demonstrations.

  42. The Deacon on January 5th, 2007 at 5:59 pm

I predict the maniacally-liberal, drunk-with-power, ventriloquist dummy Pelosi will be brought down by scandal in the next two years. I’ve noticed recently that any time some politician (Bush included) gets up and makes idiotic, self-aggrandizing statements, he/she is brought back down to earth like a Saddam statue PDQ.
