It’s Monday, so Chief Hurtt is presumably back in town. Just in time for this:
Two men in a Toyota 4Runner came up to a man in Lexus near South Post Oak and Prudence.
One man pulled a gun on the driver, shooting him in the cheek. The suspects then fled the scene without the Lexus.
The injured man was able to drive himself to a nearby gas station for aid. Police are still searching for the suspects.
Yikes. This guy was quite a trooper. Let’s hope he’s okay.
Let’s also hope Mayor White and Chief Hurtt wake up and smell the gunsmoke.

These things never happen in Arizona!
Maybe those “red light” cameras caught it all on tape??? Wow, another use of the cameras to document what the police are not providing– security to the citizens of this fair city

I would bet that there are no cameras at that location. I hear the places where they are putting the cameras are in places where the people will just shut up and pay. In middle and lower income neighborhoods. I hope the guy is OK.

Right.
I’m glad he had sense enough to go to a gas station for aid.
How much trouble would the motorist have been if if he’d returned fire with this? http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?model=17
Once we are all armed - the criminals will go elsewhere.
Get a gun and carry it!

I have my guns and my version of the security sign in the yard is a sign that reads “Don’t worry about the dogs beware of the gun owner.” Is that a good start? LOL.
#8-Have you ever been held up at gunpoint?

trolling, trolling, trolling…….rawhide! (Stolen phrase), but it’s a good’en!
Why is that trolling? It goes to his experience with guns and self defense.
Chief Hurtt is AWOL (away without links to his department) on weekends. Not minding his business…it is time for a new chief who has ties to the Houston scene.
