Still no word on whether Batman will be categorized as a part of the citizenry or as a member of law enforcement. Its nice to know that when things hit the fan, New Orleans will have the full backing of its police force working in tandem with its citizens to make the best of a bad situation.

  3. TEX06 on January 12th, 2007 at 7:05 pm

The Mayor of New Orleans has moved from just “stuck on stupid” to Criminally Stupid.

BTW. Does any one know whether our former incompentent inarticulate Mayor is still employed by Rice University?

The only positive thing Lee brown did was to make Bill White seem to be a normal politician.

  4. Squawkbox Noise on January 12th, 2007 at 7:15 pm

    Tex05
According to the link below No on Rice.

I am headed to NOLA with a sidearm so I can loot those banks. With the help of Lee Brown the city will be defenseless and I will make a fortune.

Only kidding about me heading there however if Lee Brown wants to help NOLA he should volunteer to be “a boat anchor”

  6. jimb on January 12th, 2007 at 7:24 pm

Dude, Lee Brown should volunteer to represent NO in Tanzania or something, like he did with Houston. That way, he would be out of the way…

  7. vlou on January 12th, 2007 at 7:26 pm

Let’s hope Lee P. Brown doesn’t get Ray Nagin to be out of town every time there is an “incident” so Mayor Nagin won’t be held accountable for the high crime rate. I laugh just thinking about it.

  8. fasternu426 on January 12th, 2007 at 8:51 pm

Holy Crap! The people of New Orleans are in the running to be the stupidest people in the world. Houston is not far behind.

  9. ThunderHawkk on January 12th, 2007 at 8:57 pm

    Lee P. Brown? I don’t believe it.

How can the most ignorant in society be given such responsibility?

This country started going down the toilet in the ’60s because people like Lee Brown were put in positions of authority and responsibility.

His responsibilities should stop at serving hotdogs at the Superdome.

  10. Royko on January 12th, 2007 at 9:29 pm

Well, the chocolate city already has a 3rd-world-class tram, so they will need float a few billion in taxpayer-backed bonds for a couple of new sports venues.

“Baby Doc” Brown treated Houston like the Duvalier’s treated Haiti, thus turning the Bayou City into “Port-au-Plunder!”

Hey NO, carefull what you ask for!

  11. Squawkbox Noise on January 12th, 2007 at 9:30 pm

Inept politicians never go away. They just go from one job to another. Lee P is no exception and he has the willing cronies to help him out.

Former Drug Czar and Member of the President’s Cabinet
Former New York City Police Commissioner
Former Mayor and Police Chief of Houston
Former Public Safety Commission of Atlanta
    Former University Professor and Scholar
Chairman and CEO of Brown Group International

I think you get the idea.

  12. EricPJohnson on January 12th, 2007 at 10:19 pm

    Squawk,

You’re kidding right? Please tell me you’re kidding?

No wait - he has to deal with my mother she survived

almost feel sorry for the guy

  13. left-2-right on January 13th, 2007 at 5:02 am

Hire Rudy Guliani instead…end of story…

  14. vlou on January 13th, 2007 at 6:12 am

Two wrongs (Nagin and Brown) don’t make anything right. I dislike N.O. (dirty, filthy, stinky)- rotten egg city.

  15. dowjones25k on January 13th, 2007 at 7:14 am

browns way of campaigning to be mayor of new orleans someday.

he will then hire ray nagin to cleanup the city.

  16. PBFloyd on January 13th, 2007 at 7:53 am

Any city stupid enough to re-elect a blustering moron like Ray Nagin deserves what they get; to be a third world $hithole, which it has become. The guy isn’t even from there, and they elected him again???

Sqwuak is right on in his analysis. And dowj is right too, you can already see LeeP angling for the Mayor’s job once he’s ensconced at the public trough again.

What I find most repugnant about these socialist swines is much smarter they percieve themselves to be than us plebians, and how much we need THEM to solve our problems, when in fact they ARE the problem.

LeeP Dullard couldn’t pour sand out of a boot, with both hands, if it had instructions on it.

I forget who it was that said that ‘people get the government they deserve’, and in this case, I think it fits!!

  17. EricPJohnson on January 13th, 2007 at 7:55 am

    DJ25K

You know Nagin is term limited and except for Oliver Thomas - there is no clear successor unless Jefferson getrs bounced from the House

lee P back in action again and his staff should be getting parole about that time too

  18. williebill on January 13th, 2007 at 8:22 am

“Leepy” Brown will have the 30 foot tall posters of him, from IAH (Bush) with him.
He can place them on both ends of IH10 Just the fear of this “great man” being in the city will run all the bad guys out. Power in pictures.

    Go LeePee, go!

  21. Royko on January 13th, 2007 at 12:59 pm

Taking bets that the first order from Lee. P. “Baby Doc” Brown, from out-of-town, will be to terminate all forms of communication in order to install the new, over-priced SimDesk package!!!

  22. southerntragedy on January 13th, 2007 at 4:09 pm

Since Harold Hurtt is doing such a sufficient job with our crime in Houston, I nominate him to be Chief of Police of NOLA. I know it’s a sacrifice for us, but I’m willing to…..

  23. tedtam on January 13th, 2007 at 4:15 pm

Brown was chosen not only for his name, but for his skin color. It is not desirable to dilute the chocolate in the chocolate city. There are enough Latinos there now to cause consternation amongst the darker skinned populace…

Maybe Brown can wrangle another mayorship? There are enough block voters to vote him in. They deserve him. Maybe he can put in a subway-type rail system to make New Orleans a “world class city”. That is all it takes, right?

And yes, I know what a subway would do in NO.

  24. Jean on January 13th, 2007 at 7:28 pm

These people are determined to destroy themselves and their City! All our tax dollars went for what???
They had problems with the pumps STILL a couple of weeks ago when they had rain, no screaming and carrying on against Nagin there. Rediculous.
Looks like that Chocolate City may melt to Mud.

  25. vlou on January 13th, 2007 at 9:12 pm

I can’t believe N.O. is being rebuilt with all the facts about them already being below sea level.

Of course, it is better that they all stay there and not come over this way. Let’s hope they go east next time.

  26. EricPJohnson on January 13th, 2007 at 9:58 pm

    Vlou

Some Older areas are not below sea level and the oil infrastructure is critical to the economic security of the North American Union

  27. Squawkbox Noise on January 14th, 2007 at 11:09 am

NOLA proper is not critical to the oil infrastructure as it were. Especially the older areas as those areas are primarily tourist based businesses.

Facilities for the oil infrastructure can remain even if NOLA is returned to the swamp.

New name for NO La. .

    With; Mayor Brainless and Brown…

The blind leading the blind with their two dirty fingers stuck up the blind citizens noses leading them all into the gutters of shamefull senselessness…

  29. MAV on January 14th, 2007 at 9:48 pm

    New name for NO La.
My 1st. thought previously was nothing, BLANK, because they have become nothingfor not learning. I now think the “LOST CITY” is more fitting…
