    Matt

An aget is what an idiot prints in the nations 4th largest newspaper

  2. EricPJohnson on February 8th, 2007 at 12:42 am

    I meant 4th largest City’s Newspaper

    Culbertson is feeling my wrath….

    He’s going down…..

Can’t change his story after manipulating Edd - he had been given this information time and time again and he used it for cheap personal gain not out of consideration for the “Drug agets”

Taking Poe and McCaul with him - what a waste for their supporters - the whole thing is a travesty and tragedy.

The should have listened to Seantor Coryn on how to voice an opinion in the proper manner.

You have so many factual errors it is unreal. Culbertson is going down? ROTFLMAO. At the end of the investigation Culbertson will be the great savior and you and other Sutton apologist will be left looking like fools.

I once asked a fellow horsewoman who works at the Chron if the place had a copy editor. She said yes, and a live person no less. I said they need a new one.

  5. twocute64001 on February 8th, 2007 at 8:23 am

    # 4, are they sure thier copy editor is a “live person” maybe they should check thier pulse

  6. Robert on February 8th, 2007 at 8:33 am

Don’t you know the Crummyicle is just testing the readers to see if they can find any errors. And lucky for the Crummyicle, they have intelligent readers otherwise there would be no need to print a newspaper.

  7. DanielJames on February 8th, 2007 at 8:56 am

Maybe the Chronsuckle has started hiring illegals to save money.

    BTW

I am pretty sure its Culberson.

  8. DanielJames on February 8th, 2007 at 8:59 am

    Culbertson is an author.

  9. Kyle on February 8th, 2007 at 10:16 am

    From Webster’s Texas Dikshunary:

aget (a&midot;GET) - verb, first person, generally used by long-suffering husbands after hours of nagging on the same subject, over and over and… As is, “Aget it arreddy!”

Obviously the AP reporters is unedjicated, since they used this term incorrectly in the artickle. They should have used the past tents, which can be substituted fer a nown: “…the report would say that the agottens planned to…”

Any decent copy editor should have easily caught this rookie mistake.

  10. Jeremy Weidenhof on February 8th, 2007 at 10:20 am

    Matt, you missed one.

Culberson said “… but not criminal prosecution” not “…criminal procedure” as the Chron has.

Pretty sad when a newspaper’s own employees can’t be bothered to read and edit their own product.

  11. No Higher Tax on February 8th, 2007 at 10:47 am

There are several here that want to ignore the facts just make sure the innocent (BP) are prosecuted and the guilty (powder sender) walk free.

Hang in there Ed, John and Ted as sutton, gonzales, patron boosh, cronyn, mccall are going down in BORDERGATE.

  12. Maltboy! on February 8th, 2007 at 10:51 am

At some point you have to wonder: Does anyone at the Chron even read this stuff before it goes out?

For that matter, does anyone bother to read it after it goes out?

But hey, that may not be a bad idea. If they hired a proofreader, it would effectively double their readership.

  13. raiderdav on February 8th, 2007 at 11:01 am

Does anyone else think its funny that many of you guys are mocking the Chron’s errors while also misspelling Culberson? There is no T in Culberson…

  14. Peter on February 8th, 2007 at 11:04 am

People tend to make mistakes while they are in a panic.

Think about it; their readership is plummeting and there is talk that their role mode, the New York Times, may not be printing in another five years. People are beginniing to wake up to the problems of illegal immigration and taxes. If it weren’t for the conservative base not showing up for the RINO’s last November, they’d probably be hysterical by now, and the Chronicle would even more resemble a ransom note.

  15. RickG on February 8th, 2007 at 11:13 am

Culberson, D-Houston? Egads, the Democrats really did take over Congress.

Don’t the Chron’s computers have spell check?

  16. Neocon on February 8th, 2007 at 11:39 am

Speaking of Culberson, he will be on Rush Limbaugh’s show at 1:00 today (our time). The guy substituting for Rush today is good.

Culberson will also be on Lew Dobb’s show (CNN) at 5:35 p.m. (our time) this afternoon.

  17. Neocon on February 8th, 2007 at 11:40 am

    #16

BTW, Rush’s show is on 950 am KTRH.

  18. Neocon on February 8th, 2007 at 11:42 am

OKAY! One more time 740am. Sheesh!

  19. Narly on February 8th, 2007 at 12:24 pm

I think an aget is somewhat like a shooting star.

  20. toad325 on February 8th, 2007 at 1:52 pm

And did you notice in the article about Mayor White’s daughter? Apprently, there are “driving-while-intoxicated statues”. Personally, beyond the white crosses on the side of the road, I’ve never seen a monument to the almighty DWI.

  21. Meglet on February 8th, 2007 at 1:54 pm

Maybe they started hiring some of those annoying kids on the net that always talk like “yo whut u doin 2 nite”

  22. DanielJames on February 8th, 2007 at 2:16 pm

    I still dont trust Culbuttson.

He is NAFTA’r, CATFA’r, NAU’r until he saw people hated it.

  23. Papa Ray on February 8th, 2007 at 11:56 pm

The title should be that the government made up stories.
