I’m for it. Not I’m against it. No, I’m for it.
These folks use to work for the Comicle?

    BTW.. Oneth and twoth!

How about proposing the opportunity “to opt IN” instead? That way the one’s that really want it can do ALL the paperwork required to get it provided to them by the state government.

Robert, don’t you get it? This is the CURE FOR CANCER! EVERYBODY should get it, and Perry is looking out for the children!. EPJ says so!

  5. fasternu426 on February 9th, 2007 at 11:25 am

I hear it cures baldness and ugly? My ex wife could use some.

  6. Narly on February 9th, 2007 at 11:45 am

So, I guess it’s okay, except when it’s not okay.

  7. Neocon on February 9th, 2007 at 11:46 am

Robert, agreed. Can you imagine the mounds of bureaucratic paper work parents would have to go through every 2 years just to opt out? How many parents would actually do that? That is why this opt-out is so wrong.

My daughter says she will not allow my granddaughter to get the shot and she says she will NOT even consider doing the paperwork.

This is going to be a battle the state will regret

  9. bweldon on February 9th, 2007 at 12:03 pm

Well I can say that neither of my daugthers are going to get the shot nor will I be filling out the paper work, and the minute the State comes for me the lawyers will be waiting to drop a multi million dollar law suit on the state, and gov perry…

  10. Robert on February 9th, 2007 at 12:19 pm

Gov. Perry should issue an executive order to ban smoking (no way too may tax dollars will be lost) and thereby eliminate lung cancer or how about an executive order eliminating alcohol thereby saving fatalities from drunk drivers. Or how about an executive order eliminating wasteful spending by state govenment, thereby saving the taxpayers some dollars. My point, there comes a time when a person has to take responsibility for his or her own actions. The government should not be in the business of taking care of everything or telling people what is good for them.

So Gov. Perry, butt out and take care of more pressing problems like property taxes, education and the borders.

    Gov. Perry?

I think we should now address him as King Perry the Hirsute.

    twocute and BW,

I agree with you both. Filling out paperwork to opt out of the vaccine only lends legitimacy to what is a blatantly stupid idea. I flat out refuse to recognize this mandated vaccine by filling out paperwork to opt out of it.

There are things that we know are stupid, and yet we do them anyway because we know that the negative consequence is greater than the trouble it takes to just go ahead and do the stupid thing. We play the game to get along.

This mandated vaccine has crossed into the territory of things where I will just not play the game. I hope more parents of daughters speak up in a similar manner. Big kudos to both of you for not bowing to stupidity because some big-government-loving loon tells you to.

There are some things that are just NOT the governments business

  14. DanielJames on February 9th, 2007 at 1:41 pm

    Anarchy baby!

I have a better idea, why don’t you give us back more of our tax dollars and let us decide what we want to spend our tax dollars on to improve our lives. Let us set the priorities whether it be vaccinations or school vouchers and quit mandating everything to us. By your actions, I know I’m smarter than you are!!!!!
