Sometimes, it just doesn’t pay to go looking at all the pretty fishies:

A snorkeler who was shot in the head after he was apparently mistaken for a swimming rodent was in good condition after surgery, a hospital said Saturday.

Yeah, I’m guessing the wake caused by a human would appear to be the same as that of a rat if you’re, um, speeding down the river looking for a few munchies:

William Roderick, 60, of Reedsport, has been charged with assault, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. He was being held in the county jail.

A nutria gets as big as a 99 LB. dog with scary looking, long fangs….and big claws that can scratch you! Or as big as a Demacratic state rep that thinks we have put men on Mars.
