2/16/07 - Cliffie calls for the public hanging of Ramos and Compean.
Will the real truth ever be revealed?
Evil E’s already decided - They’re guilty, no reasonable doubt, execution to be carried out at sundown. The rest of us just need to yield to his Higher Intelligence and Logic…
Well… I was going to email Edd and Pat, but apparently, they no longer have personal email. It appears you have to send an email to a general KSEV email box, and “hope” it gets to the right person.
What I was going to state was:
They should stop complaining about the lack of a Presidential pardon for Ramos & Compean. Neither one of the agents should want a pardon until the appeal is over. If they are pardoned, the appeal process stops and they become the 2 guilty agents that were pardoned by the President.
If they go through the appeals process, they should have their convictions thrown out. If that happens, they become the “innocent victims” that were abused by the executive and judicial branches of our government. They also have a ton of recourse as the innocent victims of a serious injustice!
IOW, a Presidential pardon is WAY premature. The appeals process needs to be completed before there is any talk of a pardon.
The “wheels of justice” might turn slowly in this case but at least they are turning. They could have been convicted in Mexico and you wouldn’t hear about them ever again. And in Mexico, it would have been the same situation—-convict the honest ones let the corrupt ones go free that’s the system there but hopefully its not here.
Mike Smith
What happens to the appeals process if the 2 agents are killed in prison? A very real possibility.
Release the 2 agents from prison, on bond as anyone else would have gotten, let the appeals process prove thier innocence, then they should SUE the pants off the justice department for lying about the facts in the case.
But Mike is correct, a pardon only makes them look guilty.
The justice department should also have to reimburse all legal expenses to the 2 agents and pay them for all back pay in 1 lump sum payment and reinstate them as agents (for which if they were smart, they would quit the day they received all back pay) In otherwords there records and finamcial conditions should be completely cleared.
Robert and trl3 both make good points. And twocute provides the only logical step. Let the appeals process play out but release them, preferably without bond on their on recognizance.
#4 - You can email Pat at his personal web site and I bet you can email Edd at the Taste of Texas web site.
Also, if they appeal and win - or get a new trial and win - this would prevent the lower-than-pond-scum drug dealer from suing for the $5 million taxpayer dollars!
Thanks, Matt. Keeping this Roundup going would be greatly appreciated.
I have ask many times why they have been denied a bond while on appeal. Especially when the likelyhood is that the case will be overturned on appeal.
Heard on Edd’s show where a border patrol agent/deputy? was granted a new trial and was subsequently acquited — after serving 7 years in prison. I tried to google it but I wasn’t able to. Anyone know about this. According to Edd and Pat, there have been a total of 5 border patrol agents and/or deputies convicted.
So, a question for anyone who’s gotten through the 2,500 pages of transcripts (be honest now!):
Is there anything in there that demonstrates conclusively that these two agents did NOT: shoot the guy, fail to follow procedure, and then illegally try to cover up the matter?
I noticed that Reps. Poe and Culberson are still reading the documents, but they’re very busy men. Maybe someone here has finished?
Nope!

“Is there anything in there that demonstrates conclusively that these two agents did NOT: shoot the guy, fail to follow procedure, and then illegally try to cover up the matter?”
I thought the accused had to be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. They don’t have to “demonstrate conclusively” that they didn’t do anything wrong. The burden of proof is on the prosecution. They question should be, “Is there anything in there that demonstrates conclusively that they did what they were charged with.
Thank you Edd, Congressmen Poe and Culberson for continuing to lead the charge against patron boosh, gonzales, sutton, cronyn, gutless hutch, brady the bottle and mccall. The courageous versus the cowards. Am still going to donate to those who get them out and to the first dem that files impeachment charges against patron boosh. Lay on McDuff.
If you look at those that post against the BP agents it is a firm set up by the mexs to try to interject their agenda into America. The march in LA shows where this is headed and the out come has already been decided. The only questions are what touches it off, where it starts and are the bridges ready for the traffic?

The 2001 conviction of Border Patrol Agent David Sipe was over turned this year. A new trial was granted because the Prosecutor “SUPPRESSED EVIDENCE AND LIED”.
You should be able to google David Sipe and read for yourself.
Of course people like ericpjohnson would probably have said this guy was a convicted felon and therfore not worthy of being believed.
Is there anything in the transcripts that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that the 2 agents did shoot the guy without cause? I know I have not yet had time to read the transcript which only became available a day or so ago.
Of course People like eric claim to have had access to and read them months ago even though they did not exist.
Kevin:
I expected better of you. Reasonable doubt? What’s wrong with looking for reasonable doubt?

The Department of Homeland Security Inspector’s Office asserted documentary evidence showed that the defendants:
1. confessed to knowingly shooting at an unarmed suspect
2. stated during the interrogation they did not believe the suspect was a threat to them at the time of the shooting
3. stated that day they “wanted to shoot a Mexican”
4. were belligerent to investigators
5. destroyed evidence and lied to investigators
Subsequently, DHS Inspector General Richard Skinner admits under oath to a Congressional Subcommittee that a report substantiating the above claims did not exist.
So, just what part of the prosecution’s case should I believe?
I’m just wondering to myself what kind of financial gain, or for that matter, any kind of gain, George Bush is reaping from protecting drug runners.

Even if Eric read them, they still would have passed through his internal filtering system.
What may read on the transript - “Ramos then stated, ‘The suspect saw us and began to flee.’” passes through Eric’s filter and becomes, “Ramos then stated, ‘The Mexican that we decided to kill in cold blood saw us drawing our weapons and began to flee for his life as we blasted away, laughing at the tops of our lungs and hoping that we’d kill another Mexican, because nothing is better than going out and killing Mexicans.’”
Peter
That Pretty much sums up the way eric reeds things. I do not bother to read any post by eric any more. It is a waste of time.
My inner cynic tells me that politicos have done many demographic studies and have concluded that the future voting block will be Mexican, not American. The battle was won in the maternity wards years ago. Maternity wards in Mexico, that is. I would like to think I am wrong, but my inner cynic keeps whispering in my ear.
If Clinton was the first ‘Black’ president, then it makes sense that GW is our first ‘Mexican’ president. Question: Is GW the first Mexican president in a whole new line of Mexican presidents?

It’s interesting that you say that. My dad sent me this link:

Now if people would quit replying to EEvil’s comments, we would all be better off. I skip over his comments also. He is one pro troll.
My point is that Mexico’s fertility rate peaked in the early 70s. That would put the Mexican baby boomers at about age thirty. Twenty years younger than the American baby boomers. That’s 20 more years of voting capacity.
When we think of baby boomers, we think of Americans. When politicians think of baby boomers they think of Mexicans.
Peter, Trl3,
first you can attack me all you want - fortunately it doesn’t erase Compeans confession
Second - they had their day in court - with good legal counsel
Go to Patterico he is a LA prosecutor, he’s having people go through it and
Everything Sutton claimed is true as well as everything Poe and McCaul are claiming is not except for the DHS to go tell them to take a hike.
Look, get over it we are not letting BP’s shoot unarmed people, shoot people throwing rocks.
Going to have to find soemthing else to get worked up over the border about, see DJ he has the material.
Peter, trl3
Please, please, ignore this basshole!

Hang ‘em! They are guilty and deserve to hang! You are so pathethic!

Neo,
They are not going to hang they are getting out of prison after serving their punishement that we as a society deemed that they should
Please point to the post that I said they should get capital punishment or even felt it was a good idea?
I publicly acknowledge that Nancy Polozi from San Fransicko was right about one thing in the campaign last fall –The Bush administration is the most corrupt in recent history.
The Demorats should make George W. Bush their party’s honorary Chairman since——
Bush has almost single handedly has destroyed/is detroying the GOP.
The fatally wounded GOP will join its ancient predessor, the Whigs, in the trash heap of history
