As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Here are a couple of real winners, showing their collective IQ’s……….I haven’t seen such intelligence exhibited since last time I went to the monkey cage at the zoo.

Hey Rick Perry, I think he is trying to communicate with you!, you smarmy pud-knocker!!

  2. The Dude on March 12th, 2007 at 8:07 am

Charming picture, isn’t it? How would you like to have those guys working in your house with your wife and kids present? All this “cheap labor” sure seems to cost us a lot.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We have it totally bassackwards. We’re exporting our tech. jobs and importing “cheap” menial labor. That fact is going to bite us in the butts.

  3. Rastus on March 12th, 2007 at 8:09 am

Looks like Hillary’s campaign team to me.

  4. dcgirl on March 12th, 2007 at 8:12 am

These sites hurt the effort to stem illegal immigration by spending taxpayers dollars to promote illegal workers that employers can hire at cheaper wages than the very taxpayers that pay to support the sites. Why should taxpayers spend their own money to shortchange themselves?

  5. Robert on March 12th, 2007 at 8:13 am

Since the local government violates the federal law by aiding and abetting the flow of illegal aliens, might I suggest the citizens start impersonating federal agents by wearing windbreakers with “I.C.E.” logo on the back and “salesman” in fine print on them around those labor camps. Or start yelling “immigracion” around those camps. Stir the pot and maybe they will go away.

  6. trl3 on March 12th, 2007 at 8:17 am

If a City is going to sponser a day laborer work site, The city should be require to insure that the persons using the site are citizens or LEGAL immagrants.

Perhaps if we started prosecuting the Mayors and any city council member that votes to fund such a site without taking measure to insure it is not used by ILLEGAL workers we would put a stop to this type of nonsense.

  7. sargevining on March 12th, 2007 at 8:20 am

Day Labor Sites prove that the soltion to the problem is not totally “Presidential” or even Federal. As long as cities and states fund Day Labor sites, do business in more than one language, and prohibit Social workers and city employees from ascertaining citizenship status before granting benefits—or Police from doing so at arrest and confinement, then this problem will continue regardless of any effort made by the Federal government.

If you tell people they can keep the money in the bank without penalty if they can get past the guy at the door, then every bank in the country will be robbed at least twice a week—and you’ll need to hire more and more guys at the door to keep it from happening.

Close the Day Labor sites and take away the benefits and you take away the biggest reasons these people come her in the first place.

  8. EricPJohnson on March 12th, 2007 at 8:27 am

Lets just put people who knowingly use illegal labor in jail for 25 years no parole

You know - I will bet it will stop - I guarentee they will go home

  9. PBFloyd on March 12th, 2007 at 8:28 am

#6 trl: What, prosecuting the mayor our council members for malfaesance? Who are you joking?

We can’t even get a resignation, much less a prosecution of our local elected ‘leaders’, when they commit crimes.

Does the name Carol Avacado mean anything to you? The corruption is so systemic that nothing short of a revolution is going to change the excuse of a government that we have come to accept.

  10. trl3 on March 12th, 2007 at 8:38 am

    PBFloyd

Perhaps it is time for a change. If we fail to hold the Mayor and Council responsible for their actions, or lack there of, Then the fault lies with US.

  11. The Dude on March 12th, 2007 at 8:41 am

    #8 EPJ,

If it was shown beyond the shadow of a doubt that someone knowingly used illegal labor, jailing them wouldn’t offend me. 25 years is out of proportion to the crime, but 5 years with the possibility of parole doesn’t seem unreasonable. Until the illegal immigration problem receives the serious attention it deserves, legal Americans citizens are going to continue getting hosed.

BTW, a big Tancredo backer is a Dr. Tanton:

    (snip)

In fact, it’s not clear Tancredo is in line with the mainstream, social conservative wing of the GOP he seeks to align himself with. According to campaign finance reports, one of Tancredo’s biggest financial backers has been the family of Dr. John Tanton, the founder of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). Wall Street Journal editorial-page features writer Jason Riley wrote a devastating piece about the organization back in 2004, in which the group’s pro-abortion and pro-eugenics roots were revealed.

Tanton is also one of the most prominent conservative financiers of Planned Parenthood in the United States, having helped found in the mid-1960s the first Planned Parenthood chapter in northern Michigan.

That’s not a day labor site in the picture, those are Carol Alvarado’s house boys in somone’s back yard. She doesn’t have a yard, she lives in a condo that we pay for.

  14. EricPJohnson on March 12th, 2007 at 9:08 am

    Dude

I understands it sounds harsh but really so is the consequences - we are a nation deeply divided by the short term greed of a few people at the expense of the many

Punishment stops crime - slaps on the wrist and fines don’t

25 years for exploiting people - for harboring criminals, for aiding a criminal enterprize make it 25 years

People will stop - if you want give them a 2 month amnesty system if they turn them in no harm no foul - but they have to stop.

Someone mows your lawn, puts your roof on and you KNOW FOR A FACT they are illegal 25 years - if you suspect you have a duty to report it otherwise you could face 5 years

same for maids domestic help to factory workers

I also feel the same way about speeders going over 25 miles an hour 3 years 2nd offense 10 years 3rd offense 25 years no one has the right to endanger everyone elses lives

Also running from police 10 years no parole

And don’t get me started for drunk driving, failing to file tax returns, assaulting teachers, police officers, moms, children, stealing from the PTA etc.

Prison is a punishment not a game

If Ramos and Compean have to pay a price so should everyone else

Selling drugs - life maybe even death.

  15. EricPJohnson on March 12th, 2007 at 9:11 am

    Dude,

I gues what I’m saying is if we have 5 years, we will have to try many many people, if we have 25 years no parole we can count on one hand how many will do it and get caught

Its actually for the benefit of those who are now doing it - gives them an absolute reason to stop

    25 years 99% will stop

5 years with parole 25% will stop

  16. little mike on March 12th, 2007 at 9:16 am

    Good plan, Eric.

If we gave 25 years with no parole for spitting on the sidewalk, there would be no spitting. Trouble is, that punishment will never be a possibility.

Come back to the real world; a sentence of 2 years (parole possible) for knowingly hiring illegals so that the perp MAY do 6 months is the best we could possibly hope for and even that is somewhat of a pipedream.

  17. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 9:17 am

I guess you guys are mad because the Mexican Consulate is educating their citizens on their basic human rights? What is so wrong with that?

Welcome to MacAmerica, can we get you anything? Anything at all? Job, free social services, health care, credit cards, mortgages?

Why doesn’t the Mexican Conulate educate their citizens that they are breaking U.S. laws when they enter our country illegally and steal someones’ identification? And give them maps to get out quickly? And advise them to stop stealing id’s?

    Would you approve of that?

  20. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 9:39 am

    little mike!

free social services? Really? Do they not pay property taxes? Are these funds not used for social services? Is it not up to Credit card companies and mortgage companies who they loan to? Or do you want control of that too? lol

  21. PBFloyd on March 12th, 2007 at 9:39 am

#17 No, I am mad because they are HERE, ILLEGALLY.

Not wanted here, not legal here, not WELCOME here……get it?

  22. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 9:45 am

bigjolly, I’m sure they already know they are here illegaly… I think they figured that one out some time ago! lol As for stealing id’s well Im sure someone can tell it’s fake of their name is John Johnson or something like that. Other than that the ID’s and names don’t match so there is no problem. But I am glad you brought it up because at least you accept they pay into Social security, etc. and they are never able to reclaim any of this money! It totals well into the millions that you get to keep when you retire! As for the maps well those are just to help them find their way out of the desert safely… As a Christian conservative I see no problem with saving lives!

    I would approve of that!

I am! Been Catholic all my life actually… and if I follow my Catholic upbringing I am conservative!

  27. SimpleSimon on March 12th, 2007 at 9:51 am

    Eric,

Did the Mexican kids beat you up at school and take your lunch money from you as a kid? There is a lot of rage going there.

It is not the length of a prison sentence that deters crime, it is the surety of getting one if arrested.

I am for fining employers who knowingly use illegal labor. To make this happen we are going to need a robust national ID system and then hold employers accountable for verifying ID of potential employees.

It is only lately that the right wing has come on board to support a national ID. It used to occupy the same space as gun registration.

Make the fines for using illegal labor proportional to the amount of taxes and wages that were not otherwise paid as a result of using illegal labor. I am sure the bureaucrats will be quite liberal with their estimates.

I don’t believe we have enough jails to hold everyone who has had a roof installed lately, ate at a local restaurant, or had their lawn mowed by a service. You need to drink a big cup of “Get Real”.

We must make changes that can actually get pass the legislature or city council.

    Simple

  28. PBFloyd on March 12th, 2007 at 10:13 am

#24 The only thing I get is that you are a liar and a phony, from what you represent yourself to be.

You are a Christian, but adocate law breaking?

The reasomn we have a problem in the first place is because of sniveling unAmerican apologists, like you.

  29. duhmoose on March 12th, 2007 at 10:14 am

Unhyphen, If they are working at a day labor site they are being paid in cash. No SS being taken out, no FICA, etc. Yes many of them pay property taxes. Of course if you read many of the stories coming out, there is a significant number of them who are violating maximum occupancy rules in apartments, so the per person property tax bill for this group is probably below average. And this is while the perperson usage of social services is much higher in this group.

  30. dcgirl on March 12th, 2007 at 10:19 am

#26 - Did the Catholic church teach you it is okay to break the law as these illegals are doing. Did they teach you that to be compassionate you had to help lawbreakers, and to h#ll with the people that they hurt in the process - you know, the ones whose identities get stolen, the taxpayers footing the BILLIONS of dollars that it costs this country to put up with the illegals (health care, education, prisons)?

  31. dcgirl on March 12th, 2007 at 10:22 am

    Simple,
Surely Eric is not advocating penalties for a person who eats at a restaurant that hires illegals, but for the restauranteer himself. Likewise if a roof is put on by a contractor, the contractor himself would be the penalty-bearer, not the homeowner who has no way to verify the validity of any employee. What employer would turn over SSN of his employees to any joe blow anyway - especially if they are Legal?

  32. Matt 'Zilla' Bramanti, CPO™ on March 12th, 2007 at 10:24 am

    Tone it down, PBFloyd.

  33. Astrosmith on March 12th, 2007 at 10:28 am

I grew up in Garland, and I know right where that day labor place is. It’s right here at Saturn & Miller. Now everyone in the DFW area that’s an LST reader can go round them up, or call in ICE.

  34. Robert on March 12th, 2007 at 10:29 am

So you want to know what these guys (aka illegal aliens) are thinking, well, here’s my “Top Ten” list of captions for this picture:

    1) Here, gringo, this is how we show our appreciation for all you done for us.

    2) You want us out of here, then send us our welfare checks.

    3) Just wait until our LULAC rep shows up, then we’ll play the “race card”.

    4) We, hereby, claim this land for Mexico.

    5) If you want us to stop, then, throw us a soccer ball.

    6) Yeah, this is where my brains are!!

    7) Please shot us so we can sue you!!

    8) We are paid aggitators out of Johnny Sutton’s office.

    9) Yeah, you can trust us to do work in your home.

    10) Our drug smuggling jobs went to someone smarter.

    I hope you like these!!!

  35. Jaime on March 12th, 2007 at 10:47 am

Illegal intruder is defined by any person who enters a property without permission from the property owner or in violation of the property owner’s required conditions.

    1) Do we have right to protect our property from illegal intruders? Yes/No

    2) If you own property jointly with others, say in a partnership, do you have the right to protect the jointly owned property from illegal intruders? Yes/No

    3) Land “owned” by the government is land that is [supposedly] owned in trust on behalf of the owners, ie citizens. Do we have the right to protect our property from illegal intruders? Yes/No

    #17 What’s your answer?

  36. bigjolly on March 12th, 2007 at 10:57 am

    #22 Unhyph

Other than that the ID’s and names don’t match so there is no problem.

I’m not sure why you take ID theft so lightly, perhaps if it happens to you, you will rethink the issue.

As for SS payments, yes, those that steal ID’s do pay SS taxes and do not collect them, although there are several bills in Congress as we speak that would allow that to happen. But the amount collected and not paid out is a pittance compared to the social costs that burden our schools and health care systems. And as duhmoose pointed out, workers paid in cash pay no taxes on that income.

And regarding saving lives, wouldn’t the best prevention be to advise the illegals not to attempt the crossings in the first place?

  37. dcgirl on March 12th, 2007 at 11:11 am

Also, there was someone on this blog that was having problems with the IRS because someone used their SSN and now the IRS wants taxes paid on that money. How about that Unhyphened? Still think it is okay to break ALL our rules?

  38. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 11:33 am

pbfloyd… of course I am a Christian, I don’t approve of anyone breaking the law, never did I say that but most of all I dont advocate armed people hunting others on the border nor do I approve of people dying in the desert!

  39. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 11:35 am

    33. ICE knows where they are! It is not in their interest to round them up.

  40. Narly on March 12th, 2007 at 11:37 am

I fear that if our govt. leaders don’t solve the illegal alien problem soon, there will be an overthrow. They apparently don’t have a clue how important this is to their constituents.

  41. Robert on March 12th, 2007 at 11:37 am

Look what this country has become, sneak into this country illegally, have that country provide for all your basic needs, free, and still be able to break their laws, all in the name of cheap labor. I’m telling you there is no other country that is so generous and willing to implode under the weight of the taxation to pay for all this. And all the Dimwits can do is propose amnesty which will only encourage more to come. Why don’t they propose legislation giving Texas back to Mexico and throw in California, Arizona and New Mexico.

  42. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 11:38 am

    35. Sure you have the right! Your property though, not the public property! That is up to the Federal Govt. to protect! Someone illegally enters your property then yes!

  43. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 11:43 am

bigjolly! Actually more is left in the SS than they use up in social services! I can’t remember where I seen the stats but I will look for them and post them up. Those that are paid in cash then transfers the burden on the business owner who has to pay taxes on those funds he can’t show receipts for and that happens to be at a higher rate so the govt. wins on that one too… Either way the govt. gets their money, why do you think they don’t enforce the laws?

I agree about saving lives, thing to do is not even come. But they are and that is the reality, so just because they are we shouldn’t wish death upon them!

  44. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 11:44 am

37… Do you honestly believe everything people tell you?

  45. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 11:45 am

    40. Apparently not that important because alot of people really dont care!

  46. duhmoose on March 12th, 2007 at 11:55 am

#43 Any stat you have on that is useless. We have no clear idea how many illegals are in the country or how much per person we are spending on social services. Talk to the people in the medical district and they will tell you that they sometimes will see the same patient under 3 or 4 different names.

  47. FourAlarm on March 12th, 2007 at 11:58 am

I’ve discovered that if you wash more often it wouldn’t itch so much. Judging from that death grip I figure it must be itching something fierce.

  48. EricPJohnson on March 12th, 2007 at 12:04 pm

this is what I’m advocating - if you knowingly recruit. pay under the table, and you know they are illegal - you get the book thrown at you - if you suspect they are illegal and you don’t turn them in you get 5.

But you have to gainfully employthem, not giving a busboy a tip or a beggar a five or a spanish kid 20 to mow your lawn, but if you employ a maid for three years and she’s illegal and you know it

    say hello to 25

Before Rico we really could not get anyone to talk, mob rule organized crimes were commonplace and rampant

Rico added a dime then a quarter

Worked like a charm, the mafia is almost completely gone people facing 25 years talk, sing like they want dinner.

If you really really want to end illegal aliens coming, if you are caught exploiting them, taking rent from them, employing them

    25 years no parole

It will be over forever we could have superhighways connecting us, no ones going anywhere without a passport and a birth cert

Its a shame but 25 years gets peoples attention just like everyone here

    5’s do not

Don’t ask me why, its a psycho thing and my meds ran out last summer

  49. texan1953 on March 12th, 2007 at 12:24 pm

Intellignet math of a cost/benefit of having illegals here would go like this:

Cost of Social Services used by those who pay SS

    plus

Cost of Social Services used by those who don’t pay SS

    plus

Cost to citizens of the identity theft used by those who DO pay Social Security

    Minus

Total SS Payments made by illegals who use identity theft in order to get on a payroll so that they DO pay SS.

The math just doesn’t work out to there being a net benefit—which means there is a net cost.

  52. EricPJohnson on March 12th, 2007 at 12:44 pm

    Sarge,

I don’t think Illegal immigrants harm the economy, they are just here illegally and need to be dealt with, especially those who use them, according to govt reports they are a plus, according to private reports they are a slight negative, if they are given citizenship then I feel with all the entitlements they will defintely slip to a negative.

    But thats not happening

  53. sargevining on March 12th, 2007 at 12:52 pm

    Sarge,

I don’t think Illegal immigrants harm the economy,

    ME

There just isn’t anyway I’m going to recoup the money I pay in taxes over my working lifetime to deliver Social Services to people who don’t pay Social Security, plus the added cost of insurance and Law Enforcement that the ones who DO pay social Security cause by using Identity Theft.

I won;t lieve long enough to collect that money in te money the Gummint pays me in Social SEcurity after I retire.

And that’s a cost to everybody.

Illegal immigrants equal higher taxes and insurance for everybody.

I don’t know if we are simply missing today’s open comments thread or if this is a new thing or not. However, for those that think that Ramos and Compean are guilty because the prosecutor presented a “case” to the jury and the jury fell for it read this story about another individual, who although innocent, was hung out to dry by a overzealous/misguided/dishonorable (you pick) prosecutor.

  56. Jaime on March 12th, 2007 at 1:47 pm

#35 That is why I have for years, and I am happy to hear that Dan has taken this up, have advocated to make it illegal for illegal aliens to be in Texas. This is how we overcome the local PD policies.

As to the immigration being a Federal issue. If you study history and the uS COnstitution you will find that:
    1) the Constituion grants the authority to the Central government to setup the rules for naturalization(art.1, sec. 8).
    2) prior to the fraudulent 14th “amendment” it was the States that were in charge of residency/citizenship. You were a uS citizen by virtue of you being a citizen in a member State in Union.

If is not completely a Federal issue. I agree, though, that the States ought not to enforce Federal laws. Another reason that I am in favor of illegalizing “”illegal alienhood” in Texas.

Enforce the border and deport as occasions arise. Total deportation by attrition.

  57. Robert on March 12th, 2007 at 1:57 pm

Nothing can be done until the government wants to enforce the laws that are on the books. Then, without a wall, any decision as to what to do with the illegal aliens is worthless. The answer is 1) close the borders and then 2) impliment a guest worker program to control the number entering and meeting the labor demand. And finally, quit providing all those free social services, it only encourages them even more and has become a burden on the honest taxpayer.

  58. Unhyphenated_American on March 12th, 2007 at 2:05 pm

    46. So if we have no idea how many illegals are here or how much is spent on them in social services then how can you make such a claim?

    Unhyphenated:
Where have you been?? Even our local liberal rag, the Chronicle, admits they’re costing us. They ran an article a few weeks ago saying that “An estimated 70 percent to 80 percent of the 10,587 births at Ben Taub General Hospital and Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital last year were to undocumented immigrants, administrators say.”

17 to 29 percent of the federal prison population is comprised of illegals. Or see this article:

    http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=42474

It says the cost of illegals to California is $10.5 billion, and the burden to native-born residents is $1,183 per household in California.

The center for immigration studies says the uncompensated cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in Texas’s state and county prisons amounts to about $150 million a year (not including local jail …

The average head of household illegal alien costs you $2,700.00 in welfare money over and above any taxes he or she pays in their meager paying jobs. With 15 to 20 million illegal aliens in the USA, that figures exceeds $20 billion of your tax dollars. (Source: Center for Immigration Studies, August 2004)

If the cost are so high then why did New York have a surplus in the budget? They have one of the largest illegal populations in the country!

I don’t see a problem with calling someone in the 5th ward Jermaine - that’s not racist, it is an actual name - pancho is not racist (or would you call Pancho Villa’s name racist). Why do you defend so highly the rights (of which they have NONE) of the illegals over the rights of the Americans that are tired of shelling out their money to pay for all the social services these people costs us, not to mention the rapes, murders, robbings, uninsured accidents, identity theft, etc. etc. etc.

And just how many are in federal prison awaiting deportation - if you know there are many, then you should have a figure. If they are awaiting deportation, then how come when they get out they are released back into society to prey on innocent and LEGAL CITIZENS?

I suggest that anyone who has a bleeding heart for the illegals, that they go to the country of origin and work to improve their situation there, instead of gleefully turning the US into another third world nation.

    61. The guy calling him Pancho was a hispanic guy himself. Although I would not have personally chosen to call anyone Pancho, (because people like yourself immediately jump on such things to scream racism in order to villify and discredit), I won’t deny that he did say those. Thanks for picking up on that one point and completely disregarding the rest! Did you see the video of the Hispanic women and all the things she had to say? or did you miss that one?

One thing I don’t understand - someone stops to pick up a stranger(s) and puts them in their car (not the bed of a pickup mind you) in order get cheap labor. Do they ever worry about their safety? Is their life worth saving a few extra bucks?

  67. 75273 on March 12th, 2007 at 2:48 pm

    66. I agree entirely. Of course, it gets worse. In the back of a pick up or not, many of these Saturday laborers likely go back to private peoples’ homes for work.. There is no way I would bring back 3 guys to my home if my wife and kid were there (and then give these guys edged metal tools to swing around)… all the PC bologne has clouded people’s better judgement for something they should have learned when they were 4 years old - “Don’t talk to strangers.”

  68. duhmoose on March 12th, 2007 at 2:56 pm

58 we don’t know per person, but we can calculate a close approximation of the total cost.

  69. texan1953 on March 12th, 2007 at 3:15 pm

#59…i am neither…what would you if someone was breaking into home? I am someone that is sick and tired of the invasion of this country being ignored…all these “people” bring is crime, disease and a drain on society. at some point…when someone in the “beautiful people” circle is a victim of these vermin…then and only then something be done.

Locally taxpayer funded worker sites should cause the city to lose it’s Federal Funding. -period,dot bingo- No need to imprison the local liberal city governments. No urban polititian would ever spit out the Federal Tit!

  72. gtotracker on March 12th, 2007 at 5:32 pm

That picture reminded me of something that happened in Port Isabel. One afternoon while I was walking along a jetty, a car stopped a short distance away on an empty lot. Three young guys got out and using the car doors to shield their modesty started to whizz on the sand.

Upon seeing me the driver evidently decided to symbolically whizz on the gringo. Turning my direction he aimed high and let go for all he was worth. He shouted something as well, but I couldn’t hear him over the wind. Straight into a 20-25 mph wind did he hurl his opinion only to have the stuff blown all over him and through the open car door. That stuff must hurt the eyes for he slapped one hand over his and hopped around like a broken pressure hose.

    Oh Gto: That was priceless!
    FWIW: http://www.grassfire.org e-mail:

I wanted to catch you up on some very important developments.
First, Ron De Jong (our Communications Director) and I will
be on Capitol Hill tomorrow delivering over 500,000 “Stop
The Invasion” petitions to Sen. Teddy Kennedy. As you may
know, Kennedy is heading up the 2007 amnesty bill. The bill
is expected to be announced any day now and word on the
street is that it is far worse than last year’s version.

Our office sent seven fax requests and made six phone calls
to Kennedy requesting a meeting. They didn’t even have the
decency to reply to our request. So we’re going anyways,
in addition to other meetings on the House and Senate
side with allies in the battle to stop the invasion.

    + + Mobile billboard in D.C.

Ron and I will also be taking part in the launch of our “Stop
The Invasion” mobile billboard effort in D.C. There simply are
no traditional billboards in the Capitol area so we contracted
for a mobile billboard to circle the White House and Congress
for the next four weeks with the message — “Stop The Invasion.”

I can’t wait to see the billboard in front of the White House
and the Capitol! We want to keep this billboard running until
    the amnesty bill is defeated.

Where did you get that picture of Dr FrankenBush and Congress telling the American people what they think of America and Americans?

There is no simple solution, and will never be one. Ninety percent of the People in Texas are misinformed or a bunch of cowards. (does this offend you?) Then do something like read the laws, rules and regulations. You might be surprised to see the power that was given you.

The Feds and the State want these criminals here, the City has a mandate from the People hidden in the City Charter to deal with the problem of illegal immigrants. A Police Chief says hell no I won’t enforce the mandate of the People, (Hispanic if I remember correctly), who the hell do they think they are? Every Police Chief since has said hell no I will not enforce the rule of the People and the Mayor will back me up, and when I am tired of this stinking city I will go back home to Phoenix.

If the City tries to enforce the laws the Feds will step in and sue us. (Just for the record no federal agency has jurisdiction in the Union of States, they only have access to Federal enclaves) That does not seem to stop these Federal thugs – remember Waco or Ruby Ridge. In both cases the survivors won their court cases proving that the Feds acted outside their authority. Yet, women, children and men were murdered.

My only question is where is the Sheriff – the only one with all the political power to stop these crimes in the county in which he has jurisdiction. Every Sheriff of every county can stop the Feds in their tracks if he so desired. There are Sheriffs who refuse to allow the IRS any power to enforce any actions or take anyone’s property. Sure would be nice if we had one.

We all can talk till we are blue in the face, not until we hold these poor excuses for servants accountable for their actions we will all be living in fear of illegal foreigners who violate the laws of this Republic.

Everyone here should read Article I, Section II of the Constitution. Get that first article second section,

    The Texas Constitution
Article 1 - BILL OF RIGHTS
Section 2 - INHERENT POLITICAL POWER; REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT
All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit. The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to this limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient.

Till then, may the chains of the State lay softly on your back and I hope that the State will not send their armed thugs to whip your back. May your knees bear the pain of submission.

For those of you who will not kow-tow to the State, then pass the ammo.

Remember you were given three boxes, the soap box, the ballot box and the ammo box – use them wisely.

  86. Chuck on March 13th, 2007 at 10:25 am

    Bigjolly,

You caused a small bulb to flash when you used the phrase “aiding and abetting”.

In most places, if not all, “aiding and abetting” a criminal is itself a crime. And if that is done before the crime, or in commissioning of the crime, its worse.

So can we not file criminal charges against Houston’s Mayor (also the Mayor of Tomball and probably some other places) and his cronies?
