Busted border agent’s family needs our help

by Matt Bramanti | 03/21/2007 11:51 am | Alert moderator

As you all know, former Border Patrol agent Jose Compean is serving a 12-year sentence for shooting a drug smuggler.

His wife, Patty, isn’t doing so hot either. Nor are the three Compean kids, age 12, 6 and 3 months. They sold their home to pay the defense bills, and Patty has no source of income.

KSEV morning hosts Pat Gray and Edd Hendee are raising funds to help the Compean family while their dad languishes in prison. If you want to help, you might consider donating to the Patty Compean Fund.

Just make a check out to Patty Compean, and mail it to:

C/O KSEV Radio
11451 Katy Freeway
Suite 215
Houston, TX  77079

Or you can put your check (or cash, if you like) in an envelope marked “Patty Compean Fund” and drop it off at Edd’s place of business. Here’s a map and directions from anywhere.

I also heard this morning that Edd was going to supply us an address to the prison, so we can write him. C’mon Edd, you slacker! :)
BTW: Thanks for doing everything possible to help set these men free. MOST of us are behind you!

God Bless this family! My check is on the way!

These men need our nation to stand up for them, and demand a pardon!

Me too look at the rest of you and see what they do except print BS. All talk but no help for those in need.

My small check is on the way. I listened to Edd and Pat this morning interview her and teared up! She is a wonderful person, as is her husband.

What an absolute tragedy- I swear this world is upsidedown. God help them and our country~ my small donation is on the way.

Thanks - it’s the number of donations (not the size of the check) along with a note from you that will give this family strength. I’ll take them to Patty in El Paso next week - thanks so much for your support. Together we can make a difference.
