We continue to hear that Iraqis don’t care and want the terrorists to take over and that we should just back off and kill them all. Meet Falah Hassan.
Polishing a gun, and sitting behind a counter in the Jazeera Police station, it’s hard sometimes for people to imagine that Sgt. 1st Class Falah Hassan was a farmer.“I didn’t think I’d be an Iraqi policeman either,” he laughs. “I wanted to continue farming but I had to change that because my city needed me.”
Imagine that, a citizen of a country heeding the call of need. I think I heard something like that from JFK. This man is putting his life on the line every single hour of every single day to help his country.
“I did it because I wanted the terrorists out of this area, and I’ll keep working until I see Ramadi safe and secure again.”
Does he think that they are making progress?
“Out here it’s been hard work,” he said. “We’ve made it possible for people to once again go into downtown Ramadi, where before they thought that was impossible. I’m real happy about it. I thank God every day that we are able to bring more security to the people of Ramadi.”
Yes, I think he does. Why don’t we hear more about men like Mr. Hassan?

I get so angry that the MSM doesn’t cover stories like this. This man is a hero for stepping up like this, but all we get is the latest body count.

Really great to see there are people over there like this. Question - he thanked God, not Allah - is he a Christian as it doesn’t say.
“Why don’t we hear more about men like Mr. Hassan?”
Because they are few and far between.
We don’t hear or read stories like these because they don’t fit the dino media mantra that the war is lost and also just like vietnam. Bad news sells, and bad news spin sells better.
#2: I was wondering that myself…
Thanks BJ for the story!
But Booshe said
The MSM has their own agenda !!!
#3 hit it on the mark…enough said…
I think we rarely here about men like Mr Hassan because it does not sell newspapers or advertizing scape.
