How telling that the purveyors of misery in the media are so reticent to explore this ‘item of interest’?

I guess it would mean them having to actually to some investigative journalism, but obviously these shysters wouldn’t be familar with that term at all.

I guess it’s easier for morons to write drivel about some over-indulged vacuos hose-beast in Hollyweird for other morons. To actually do some real work might require effort and ability, which they are obviously not prepared to do!!

The media ignores it because it doesn’t sell.

Americans want their news littered with Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, et al.

    Headcase:

No, there are plenty of intelligent people who would welcome better, some REAL information, but it seems they are determined to foist that crap on us.

They have become nothing but weapons of mass distraction anymore.

I would bet the ratio of intelligent people who want better, real info vs. the idiots who want to be spoonfed sensationalism is about 1 to 10.

The group Texas Impact that praised Sen. Shapiro
apears to lean WAY LEFT . Their main cause apears to be global warming. Are they just another whacko site ?

    Headshaker,

I think you might be going a bit conservative on the idiot side of your ratio. Having observed human behavior such as I have over the course of nearly 40 years, I might even go as far as 1:20.

I was trying to be nice, but you’re right.

    HS & Dude:

I agree there is no shortage of mush-minded morons populating the city/state/planet, but I think you may be being a bit cynical.

There are a lot of really good smart people out there to who do want to be informed and aspire to high ideals: but few seem to be in journalism or politics, we can safely agree on that!

  9. The Dude on June 27th, 2007 at 12:36 pm

I think you may be being a bit cynical.

I can’t argue with that PBF. Further, I agree with you that the brightest minds don’t tend to go into politics or journalism. There are exceptions of course.

Younger people are concerned with Paris. My 22 year old journalism major, poly-sci minor, kiddo is not. People read the net for news, also talk radio. My sister on the farm doesn’t give a twit about Paris. My sister, the federal agent doesn’t give a twit about Paris. My neighbors don’t. Look at MSM ratings and tell me the MSM isn’t committing suicide by running this drivel.

I wonder if our Texas Senate Imam would support a Christian Minister holding the opening prayer in say IRAN.

I not only believe he would object, he would probably call for the beheading of any Muslim that might allow it.

I rarely watch TV anymore. Everything is either boooring, fluff, immoral, or so full of spin and indoctrination I can’t sit and watch it. I just want some facts. Let me decide.

The end is near folks… bread and circuses…. bread and circuses.

    Or….It just isn’t news !!!!

An Iman not liking the Israelis….What a surprise? It would be a bigger news story if the guy converted to judism, flew an Israeli flag from his house, or announced plans to marry Barbara Streisand.

David…I think folks generally know this bozo is a nogoodnik. The world is heavily populated with bastards. Every country has an ample supply and that includes this one and Israel.

#14 It was news when the Imam was invited by the Senate to pray, and there was a controversy over whether or not he was a religious “moderate”.

These fatwas (and other revelations) make clear that he’s not, and Dan Patrick was right.

    I think that’s news.

    Simple. ;)
