President Bush can’t even go fishing with his dad and daughter without problems.
President Bush’s presidency is stuck in low gear. On Sunday, his fishing boat was stuck on stop.
Fellow Republicans may not be rushing to rescue his legislative agenda, but the Secret Service bailed Bush out of a jam when his boat anchor got wedged in rocks along the Atlantic Coast.
To make matters worse, as a Secret Service diver is risking his life dislodging the anchor, the President decides to try his luck a few more times.
After a diver dove down into the chilly water, the president, nonchalantly, resumed fishing.
But he had time to cast his line just a few times. Within minutes, the diver surfaced with the anchor in hand.
But hey, at least he yanked hard.
Bush yanked hard too, but couldn’t dislodge it either.
Sorta like when he yanked and huffed and puffed but amnesty still went down in flames.

The boy just can’t catch a break. At least he did not hook the secret service guy.
Squawk I was reading, waiting to read and by mistake he hooked the secret service diver. Wonder if they discussed the new world order while they were out fishing.
I always fish when the boat is broken down and waiting for help. That’s what they went out there for. If he’d done anything else, they would complain about that too. Best thing he could do for the rest of his term is go fishing - and take the Congress with him.
I guess the Secret Service is bound to protect the President.
However after the SCamnesty/SHamnesty thing if I was Secret Service I would have to wait a second and scratch my head and wonder, “Would I, Should I, Could I” and ponder it a moment
Dubya should go fishing and leave politics alone.
Why should he care about the Secret Service guys life? Hes sent about 4000 to die in Iraq.
Any normal, half bright man would have pulled out his pocket knife, cut the anchor rope and accepted the loss of a $150 anchor.
All of you #1-#5 - great posts! LOL. Bush just can’t cut it.
Would it be over the line to wish that Bush would go riding with Ted Kenendy driving after one of their legislative discussions….? O:
Let’s hope we can keep his administration in neutral until his term is over. Somehow, I don’t trust him to use his remaining time in ways that will please conservatives.
