Words escape me. On the other hand, this person got elected by whom?

Having worked the Fifth Ward (7 district, 20’s beat), I never saw a city councilman the whole time, nor had I seen Queen Sheila (it’s her district you know!) But I have seen them on TV. Do you think they would go there at two O’clock in the morning? I doubt it. This white boy did. They need them poor, uneducated and oblivious to everything, and indoctrinated to believe that someone is keeping them down so they can stay in power. They are being held in a type of slavery and it is really sad. Otherwise, they would get jobs, be productive and not need the handouts and also have no use for people who pimp them out for a vote.

Lookout black folks, these people are going to push you under the bus for illegal alien votes! When black folks in America open their eyes and join the conservative movement, they’ll be a great asset. Until then, they will be held under a liberal thumb that will exploit them for votes and power.

    #2 - Absolutely!

Council members, state reps, federal reps.. they need people to be in poverty so they’re relied on.

If there were no poor, there would be no need for government programs. Then where would the politicians be? Why try to help people lift themselves up when it is so profitable for them to be poor? Who cares if they eat their own? That’s just the cost of doing business.. The stinkin politicians will only go into your hood when they need your vote..

You wonder why I shake my head™

“Rough image”?? That’s probably because the 5th ward IS rough. Do you think George Foreman would have been such a great fighter if he was grilling his burgers on the streets of River Oaks?

When I worked there Lee. P. Brown. was running for mayor. Almost everyone I arrested during that time frame had a newly minted voter registration card in their wallet. Nearly all would scream and yell that “things were gonna change” when Leepy got elected (usually followed by calling me a white devil or something)! That’s when I turned the radio to a classical music station and turned it up loud to drown out the whining in the back seat.

Around election time, officers should notice new voter registration cards on their crooks.

Tell me again why we call such people “community leaders”?

    Two words:

    power vacuum

People would rather wallow in victim status and be followers rather than leaders. Note that I don’t think that’s unique to the Fifth Ward or even the black community in general. People who don’t deserve to be called “community leaders” get the title anyway because other people let them get away with it.

Fast everything you say is true, and I call it a type of slavery too. How do you remove bad leadership from areas where the people understand how to exist, and change is too scar

Tell me Jarvis; what good has ever come out of the fifth ward. Jarvis, it’s all about parenting skills. It’s bound to be the white man’s fault.
What we need is to stop the welfare checks. Let them compete with the illegals for jobs. I think I know who would win.
